@Kory Frederick dude, first you preformed it in New York and in London? I think its safe to assume you aren't in any production, just stop Edit: now you've been in a highschool production too? Yea no, stop lying please
There's something about Christian Borle that leaps off the screen. The first time I saw him was in The Sound of Music Live. When he opened his mouth to speak he was mesmerizing. I thought "here's a three dimensional actor." When he opened his mouth to sing, I was hooked. I've been fascinated with his talent and skill ever since and look for him everywhere. I would wish him good luck but he doesn't need it--he has skill and heart.
i think he’s in little shop of horrors now as orin scrivello, it amazes me because that’s such a different character than emmet forrest, or his character in falsettos. hes super talented
bayleigh Christian is typically known for comedy roles such as his roles in spamalot, something rotten, Peter and the star catcher etc so orin acc suits him quite well
When i saw the show this was my cast Charlie: Ryan sell Wonka: christian Mike: Mike wartella Violet: trista Veruca: emma Mrs. Gloop: Cathy fitsgerald. They were all the people i wanted to see.
When I saw the show, I absolutely loved it. Christian did an amazing job. I did like it a lot more than what I've seen of the West End production, however there are some songs I wish they would have kept. I loved the new songs What Could Possibly Go Wrong and Queen of Pop, however I wish they'd kept Juicy. It kinda seemed off that every kid except Violet got a demise song, and it was a little sad because I loved Trista's portrayal, and she was my favorite kid.
I thought this was talking about the sets... which were non-existent at one point. And I think I get the why, but that didn't work. The factory needed to be seen.
🤤😢I wanna be in broadway, the person that plays Wonka is perfect for that role! We are going to do it next year aty school, and I am triyng out for violer and Mrs. Bucket!
I wasn't even thinking of listening to this musical (I stan Christian Borle, but I was kind of hesitant to listen to this), but after listening to "The View From Here" I'm already crying, what the hell!???
The Charlie who recorded Ive got a golden ticket looks constipated 😂 But this is amazing and I loved watching it when it was released to the West End ❤️
This is such an amazing production and such a lovely cast. I'm so excited to play Wonka in my highschool play, thank you for making me believe it to see it.
Omg I’m going to see this soon!! I didn’t know these characters were so amazing and brilliant in he art of acting and singing! I wasn’t looking forward to this musical because I don’t usually like them, but I really think I’m going to like this!
Noah Alexander yes, they wrote London first. They didn’t know what schedule was going to happen, whether they were doing Broadway or London first, so they only wrote a score for one show. At the time they were writing the Charlie score, they were doing SMASH and since Christian was an actor there, they just used him to sing the songs. While they were writing the Charlie score, I don’t think they realized that the London and broadway would be completely different, so as I said, they only had one score.
No Noah Alexander-Price, they wrote the Broadway transfer first and then travelled backwards in time to write the London one, which came before, afterwards.
@@moirarobinson3301 I thought they wrote the song for Douglas Hodge (What they said when came out on west end) so you're right they are lying about one :D
Because... While the concept of a theme of "it must be believed to be seen" is truly a beautiful one, New York theatergoers simply could not justify spending $150+ a ticket for a show with an "imaginary set" that you had to imagine was on the stage. ...especially when said show is based on a legendary, cult classic movie known for (among countless other things) the incredible, utterly breathtaking, and iconic set created for the Chocolate Room scene. The minimalist Chocolate Room set (as one example) in this production did not leave audiences eager to contribute more of their own imaginary elements to the show, but it instead (putting things quite simply) came across as incomplete and cheap when it came to production value.
Lovely AG because they're all little kids and they all need breaks, or in some cases they'll have three and have one of them work on a certain point in the show and the other two get the other parts of the show because they're all little
Well... They created from scratch for the West End, with Borle singing the demos for Wonka... So although the Broadway version was "altered" they are probably talking about creating the original as well

I love how Christian Borle went from Emmet I’m legally blonde to William Shakespeare to Marvin in falsettos and then this. Man has range
his range is INSANEE
there's wayyy more. he's been in more.
Is it bad when I say I love Christian broke but he kinda scares me- he always plays these insane characters I’m just terrified of him-
Just watch him in Legally Blonde whenever you feel that.
That's the thrill! It somehow makes me love him more
@I'm hungry asf HAHAHAHA
dude, when he stares directly the camera during **slime tutorials** he’s even more terrifying-
"two time Tony award winner" should be three. he got robbed for falsettos.
IF IT ISNT LIN MAN WELL WELL WELL Ben Platt won at least
Yeah but Christian deserved it more. Andrew was robbed too... the whole goddamn show was robbed
Ben Platt deserved that Tony tho
a-heckin-greed
Falsettos was robbed i'm still mad about it

Too bad the run on broadway was so short, dont know why
Marcos Alterio becuase an actor was leaving and the show too bad that they can't find a replacement (I'm joking, but the west end version way better)
Because it was a big old mess and the audiences didn't care for it.
