OMG this was my obsession as a kid, I thought this was the most hilarious thing in the world. It still is 😂 SOOO happy it's on here! Thought I'd never find it again
My mom worked at a bank in the mid 90s and whenever I had to go there and wait for her shift to end they would put me in the break room and put this vhs on. Absolute weird nostalgia for explosion. Thanks for the upload haha. Can’t believe this actually exists, and wasn’t just a dream.
Oh my lord I remember watching this! And all I had to do was type in old 90s child safety and this was the first one to pop up! Thank you for the upload. Brings back a lot of memories.
I used to watch this all the time growing up. Hilarious! Fun fact: Greg Cannom played the Alien. He has won four Oscars for Best Makeup and has quite the filmography. Chances are, he's worked on one of your favorite films.
I had this on VHS and watched it an ungodly amount of times when I was little. Had to look it up today to pay respects to the immortal Joe Flaherty, who passed away today.
I adore that so many others had a vague childhood memory of this that brought them here too. Absolutely haunted me over the years and I wasn't going to sleep tonight until I finally found it. The only really clear memory that got me here was the cinnamon toast! Lol Everyone here for this right now has my respect and love. If you were a kid like me, we really had the best childhood media! I hope it cheers you up too when adulting gets tough. Hang in there, you're not alone. :)
I’ve been searching for this my whole half of my life when I lost this video!!! Why did I think my sister and I were the only ones who owned this movie😂😂 glad to know we weren’t alone!!!
Yay! I'm so excited somebody actually put this on youtube! Seriously though, growing up, my family didn't have a lot of movies to watch and no cable TV, so this is something we watched from time to time when were were bored. It was actually pretty entertaining at that age. Thanks for the upload!
Omg, I also watched this like 100 times as a kid, probably younger than 5. I LOVED it. I can't believe I was able to find it! I googled something like "child fire safety vampire" "child safe at home vampire video" lol
Wow, haven't seen this since I was in the 6th grade in 1991. Never forgot that catchy stop drop and roll song, or that crazy ending with those monsters at the door.
I can't believe I found this! I had this as a kid it was one of my favorite videos to watch, and I couldn't remember if it was the guy from Ghostbusters as the fireman or the guy from designing women.... So I decided to hit up RUclips to try and find it! Mind. Blown!
Omg I didn't think I'd ever see this again. I borrowed the vhs of this from my pediatricians office back when I was 5 or so. The part where she stuck the fork in the toaster scared the crap out of me as well as the ending music, and I remember I couldn't sleep that night because of it
A safety video only kids in the 1980s (with knowledge of SCTV) can know, understand, and love. I just finished the one with Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Looking forward to this goodie!
I was sure I’d never be able to find this video and gave up on trying to find it years ago. All these years later and the biggest surprise is the opening credits. Stuart Gordon!! I used to put in the VHS as a kid and it scared the hell out of me every time - I forgot everything after she sticks the fork in the toaster, my memory was that it ended there and she just died? Instead, I learned that fire fighters are terrifying and police man are very cool and chill!! Anyway, peak nostalgia for me, thanks for uploading!
All I have to say is that like 9 years ago when I was in kindergarten my health teacher showed us this VHS and I was traumatized for like 5 years. I was deathly afraid of fire and always looked for every fire detector and warned my mom to never put a fork in the toaster. After I watched this I basically turned into Eddie from It. (Yeah this did not help with my anxiety and Autism this was terrifying.) Watching this back this is so funny, I finally found it after all of these years and it's so crazy how this scared me so bad. I love this in the most complicated way now.
Wow! I have been searching for this for years! Thanks a ton for the upload. They made us watch it in Cub Scouts back in the early 90s. Scary stuff for little kids. Had no idea until recently that this was Directed by Stuart Gordon. The man playing the Police Officer in this was in Gordon's horror film "Dolls" around the same time. Also, it's an interesting discovery to see that this was shot-on-VHS. It's the only Stuart Gordon movie not shot on film to my knowledge.
+Adonis Richards Been a while for me too. I found some of the other obscure stuff I watched as a kid too. :D One still eludes me, unless I buy the VHS. It's the 3-2-1 Contact The Rotten Truth video.
Rest in Peace, Joe Flaherty (Count Floyd). He also acted in "Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird" with Dave Thomas as the malevolent Sleaze Brothers. John Candy who passed away in 1994 acted as the State Trooper who arrested them for abducting Big Bird.
holy crap I had this on VHS back in the day. Wow..when I was a kid I thought Kathy was just an older teenager...now at 37, I still think Kathy is older than me!
I halfway enjoyed/was terrified by this as a child I was like 3 when I saw this and watched it at night everything that happened after she shocked herself with the toaster definitely kept me up for a few nights lol
Omg i used to watch this when I was like 5! All I could remember was sticking a fork in a toaster and found this by googling that. WTFFFF is this and why did my parents let me watch it!? I HATE horror movies now and I truly think I have found the reason why 😂 Thank you so much for uploading.
Oh my GOD I haven't seen this since 1995 when I was in 1st grade. It kind of creeped me out, like wtf was with the creepy dolls?. I still remember when she got electrocuted sticking a fork in the toaster. LOL.
She has almost the exact set up a Goslin from Darkwing Duck from the 90’s. That came way after this. The only difference is the “00” and the “1” on the jersey. Plus the fact that she’s not a duck!
I have never heard of these videos until like, now. All we ever had to watch in 2nd grade were anti-drug campaign videos featuring weird ass stories that were trippier then some trips I've had. I do know our toaster popped out the toast on its own and my parents didn't drink so I couldn't hit on a badly hidden booze stash, and we had very few lightning storms in Burbank, Ca, where I grew up, and I wouldn't have needed to read the label on a bottle of ketchup to tell me its ketchup, even in bad light and my room was NEVER that neat. I don't think this video would have jived with me. But what do I know at this stage, I'm pushing forty and my children are two cats and a Beagle and they make perfect cinnamon toast.
Not even 5 minutes in and she goes for the gin....Party Time
I had this on VHS!! mind is blown I never thought I'd ever find it anywhere ever
I still have this
+Morgynn Venters I'm so jelly of you! the only reason why I was educated in safety was this video!
is it the same thing as this? www.amazon.com/Safe-Video-Ages-6-12-Parent/dp/6301907965/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503099600&sr=8-6&keywords=Kid+Safe+-+The+Video+vhs

NO....EFFING WAY!!!!! i've looked all over for this for years!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
🤯 I had this video....in fact I still have this video 30 years later. I haven’t watched it in years! Thank you so much for uploading!!
OMG this was my obsession as a kid, I thought this was the most hilarious thing in the world. It still is 😂 SOOO happy it's on here! Thought I'd never find it again
Same! My mom found it and shared it with me, I legit teared up! Lol
Best safety video of all time! What a cast! I wish I watched it before I did all that stuff when I was a kid and suffered grievous injury.
OMG!!!!! I have been looking for this since 1988!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! Core memory unlocked!!!!!!!!
Oh my lord I remember watching this! And all I had to do was type in old 90s child safety and this was the first one to pop up! Thank you for the upload. Brings back a lot of memories.

Same. It was a video at the library. I was always like, "This stupid bitch."
Me too
I had this on VHS and watched it an ungodly amount of times when I was little. Had to look it up today to pay respects to the immortal Joe Flaherty, who passed away today.
I’ve been looking for this for years, we used to watch this on rainy days at school, and I just couldn’t find a video of it.
I adore that so many others had a vague childhood memory of this that brought them here too. Absolutely haunted me over the years and I wasn't going to sleep tonight until I finally found it. The only really clear memory that got me here was the cinnamon toast! Lol

Vague memory of ketchup brought me here
I’ve been searching for this my whole half of my life when I lost this video!!! Why did I think my sister and I were the only ones who owned this movie😂😂 glad to know we weren’t alone!!!

Director was like, "Does this vampire know he's doing werewolf sounds? Fuck it."
The vampire character was Count Floyd. Howling like a werewolf was one of his trademarks.
This actress deserved an Oscar. I never forgot her. Thank you so much for posting this!
Andrea Martin. She's a funny character actress who graduated from Emerson College and has a bunch of notable film and tv credits.
Wow, haven't seen this since I was in the 6th grade in 1991. Never forgot that catchy stop drop and roll song, or that crazy ending with those monsters at the door.
Nostalgia overload.
I love Andrea Martin. I bought this video 4 my girls when they were very young. They are grown women now.Glad I found it too !
I can't believe I found this! I had this as a kid it was one of my favorite videos to watch, and I couldn't remember if it was the guy from Ghostbusters as the fireman or the guy from designing women.... So I decided to hit up RUclips to try and find it! Mind. Blown!

I just 3 minutes ago obtained the knowledge of the existence of this. And a click and a clack later, here it it is. What a time to be alive:)
All I have to say is that like 9 years ago when I was in kindergarten my health teacher showed us this VHS and I was traumatized for like 5 years.

Hello my highly sensitive millennial brethren. Glad a core memory brought you here. You are loved.
Stuart Gordon is the writer/director of Re-Animator and From Beyond - must-see horror classics!
Holy fudge, I REMEMBER THIS!!! I didn't know that Count Floyd also had his own show, Monster Chiller Horror Theater!!
RIP Stuart Gordon.

My mom worked for a Drs office and she brought this home when I was like 10 lol this was funnnny then and funny now
I was an SCTV trekkie, and I didn't even know this thing existed!
I halfway enjoyed/was terrified by this as a child I was like 3 when I saw this and watched it at night everything that happened after she shocked herself with the toaster definitely kept me up for a few nights lol
This thing traumatized me as a kid.
I remember this being shown to my class in kindergarten.
Finally I can watch something thats actually scary on Halloween
I can’t believe I didn’t know about this! This is awesome! Thanks for uploading it! :-)
They used to play this in elementary school! I can’t believe I found this
When i saw this when i was 8,9,10, i can't beleieve they used the Count Floyd charcter and Andrea Martin from SCTV
WOW I remember watching this back in elementary school!
Omg i used to watch this when I was like 5! All I could remember was sticking a fork in a toaster and found this by googling that. WTFFFF is this and why did my parents let me watch it!? I HATE horror movies now and I truly think I have found the reason why 😂 Thank you so much for uploading.

I remember seeing this in elementary first grade or so it's odd seeing this again.
We had the vhs to this man this was so long ago
She has almost the exact set up a Goslin from Darkwing Duck from the 90’s. That came way after this. The only difference is the “00” and the “1” on the jersey. Plus the fact that she’s not a duck!
I never realized that til you pointed it out.
Oh jeez, I remember watching this every year in school. Just as cringey now as it was back then, even though I am a huge SCTV fan.
Omg i *remember* this weird ass movie. We had it on vhs
I loved this video as a child 😂😂😂
My reaction, same as others - “OMG! haven’t seen this since 1st grade(1990-1991) I’m 35 now.
RIP Stuart Gordon
As a kid i was TERRIED of this video like completly TERRIFIED. Watching this as a 23 year old is tripping me out
That's exactly how I react if someone gives me Gin
Plus...the blue alien at the end, looks like Megamind! The Will Farrell and Brad Pit super movie
Stuart Gordon!
They showed me this in 1st grade. She chugged gin, shows creepy dolls, electrocuted herself. It traumatized me as a child. Don’t show 1st graders this
Can we do a "where are they now" on these actors?
Andrea Martin was most recently in the TV series Difficult People and Good News.
Asian lady did a voice in the 87 GI Joe movie, shes active in the Asian/Japanese/buddhist community of Southern California.
Holy Moly
If this video took place now, her parents would be arrested and she'd be taken away by CPS.
Lol I was 13/14 when my folks let me be home alone.
13:40 how tf do i dial 911 AFTER leaving the house IF THE PHONE IS PERMANENTLY ATTACHED TO THE WALL??

Kathy was so accident prone she never made it out of the 3rd grade.
I have the remake by Terry Macneil on my channel.
I have never heard of these videos until like, now. All we ever had to watch in 2nd grade were anti-drug campaign videos featuring weird ass stories that were trippier then some trips I've had.
