Thanks for the review brotha, been torn btw the Sarb033 vs Sarb035 in terms of versatility and been holding off until I had found the answer. Thank you so much for your much valued knowledge man, keep up the good work! Regards Shane. (Trinidad)
Ken I was saying today funnily that a Sarb035, sna411 and Blumo was the perfect 3 watch collection for under £1000. A Sarb and skx/samurai/turtle can be got for half that- unrivalled value 👍🏽👍🏽
I have one that I rarely wear- my mm300 is my daily wearer and have a few vintage prices I wear as dress watches. But it’s such a gorgeous well made watch that I just can’t sell it. I would get £180-200 and it’s so much more watch than that.
Hi, how would you compare the Sara to your Seiko snkl41 in terms of quality and wrist presence. I enjoy your reviews. I'm torn between the two watches. I know you own both of them. Thank you.
I've bought my first watch which is a SARB033. I think white dial is slightly too formal for me so I got the black one (I do think white dial looks better). I considered the SKX013 as well but fell in love with the hand winding feature of the SARB. Last thought is that 38mm is perfect on my skinny 6 inch wrist.
Damn, should have guessed what you were gonna say. There's a good chance something from the SARB line would have been that guess. Don't own one but they have an appeal.
Great objective review. Although after having watched dozens of videos of this particular watch, I still can't put into perspective how small the watch is in the flesh. I fear that although the case looks nice, it may be come off looking a bit delicate or maybe almost feminine due to its smaller size. Your wrist shot at the end looks pretty awesome though. What's your wrist size if I may ask?
Peter North I don't have an official measurement, but very small. Probably about 6.25 inches, if I'm guessing. I really don't think 38mm is too small for most men, though. Unless you're a really big guy, 38mm is an appropriate dress watch size. I'll do a video with some thoughts on watch sizes soon!
I’ve found that with all watches you pretty much get used to the size surprisingly quickly- first day you think you never will adjust... then a day or two later it just fits/feels fine. I’ve owned a corum bubble on a steel bracelet, a panerai and currently have an mm300 and Jeanrichard Aeroscope Chronograph as my daily wearers (all 44mm+)but this(and even my smaller Lord Marvel) wears fine 👍🏽
Sorry, but I'm a Barbarian ! Seiko SKX007 ALL THE WAY! (If I could have only one watch, and I was not rich.) Otherwise, I might agree with you! Thank You for the video!
Mihailo Zivkovic the brown band is from a brand called NewLife. You can find them on amazon...just search with the color, size, grain you want. The black is from DeBeer, and is available from Holben's or Amazon. I'd send links, but I'm out and about on my phone!

Glad you found it helpful! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine.
Great video. This makes a good part of a Seiko 3 watch collection: SARB035, SKX007 and SARG009.

I wish it came in emerald green ...
SARB017 does

Sorry typo, the Sarb035 to snkl comparison.

Peter North watches always look bigger in pictures and videos than in real life
I agree. I just bought this watch and was surprised at how small it was. Most of my watches are 40-42mm. Nonetheless, I still love it!
Small watches on a big wrist look masculine and tough. Look at the DateJust on Tony Soprano.

I have the 033 and the 035 but I prefer my 017 !
Could you please provide a link or a name for the brown and black leather bands?
