The Crown and Buckle HD Nato straps are my absolute favorite for use on the Seiko divers with 22mm lug width. I find most Natos have a thinner material, which while strong, doesn't have the visual presence to go with a more substantial diver. Even the C&B premium Nato is thinner than the HD Nato. The C&B HD Nato is the most substantial nato that I've found, and the hardware is also solid. Personally I prefer the 3 ring option (and it's really nice they give this option) so that there is less material under the watch. I highly recommend the HD Nato for a larger/heavier watch!

Another late comment in full agreement with your sentiments about manufacturers bypassing this market. I suspect the number of women seeking an affordable, handsome - and appropriately-sized - mechanical timepiece greatly outnumber the array of choices available to us. As you note, sizing is a particular pain point for smaller-framed individuals: when anything beyond a 32mm case starts to look cartoonish on the wrist, your choices narrow pretty drastically! The Vostok is on my short list. Aside from the mechanics, the styling holds a definite appeal. The Arabic markers I’ve seen on some Vostkoks, with their nostalgia-inducing retro-Casio vibe, resonate nicely. Now, if anyone knows of a ladies’ analogue to Orient’s Bambino (2nd gen., version 2, w/ signature cream dial: I’m looking at you), I’m all ears. Even if I *could* get away with their smaller (!) 36mm version, it’s solely offered in a sunburst dial - not the Roman markers that I vastly prefer. My hunt for the perfect office-to-dinner watch continues…

I know I'm 5 years late, but your gf is right. I don't like women watches in general. I like something not blinged the heck out and I love mechanical watches as well. I have nothing against quartz because I have my Casio, but I like mechanical watches. It's just my taste. I just discovered these Vostoks Amphibia for women and plan to buy one. They look awesome and seem tough.

I bought a new watch from Jomashop and they sent me a USED model with damaged packaging, a manual from a completely different watch and THREE LINKS MISSING from the bracelet! They refused to pay for return shipping and didn't even apologize for sending out a dud watch. I'd heard horror stories about how bad Jomashop customer service is, but thought they were overblown. Not so, the stories are true - Jomashop is AWFUL. You save $$ but buyer beware, they don't give a fig about you as a customer. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’m amazed they are still in business.

Long Island Watch has 21mm mesh straps custom made by Vollmer. They cost $49. longislandwatch.com/vollmer-13081h4c-mesh-watch-bracelet-13081h4c. Barton has an ample selection of 21mm leather, silicone and canvas ones, and for the cheapskates there is always AliExpress. With a bit of looking you can find 21mm ones there as well.

Ive owned the 40mm and also the 36mm. On my 6.75 inch wrist the 36 is perfect! I thought it would be too small but the long lugs make this wear bigger imo. Ended up selling my 40 to get the 36 and absolutely love it!

This is an old review, but I'll still comment. I decided to dress this watch UP with a dark brown, hand made shell cordovan strap from Delug's. As I have a number of Bambinos, I swap in the dressy straps as needed. It's just lovely. Yes, the strap cost about $110, but it can be used on multiple watches and will last a lifetime.
