Do you think Honda is doing the right thing with the CR-V, if they are going bigger? What else do you think the CR-V is missing? Hope you enjoy the episode!
Honda needs to make the CR-V RV towable with all wheels down in an automatic transmission version. The CR-V is the vehicle of choice for RVers because of its ease in towing setup -- until they switched to the CVT transmission in 2015. We've been hanging on to our 2007 with 300,000 miles because of that reason, but really need a new tow car.
@@lindasauer9026 Never even thought about that. Very good idea! Appreciate you dropping in and commenting!
I wait for this. Hope this year wiill be launched soon. Dont take too long pls
Just read the CR-V should be revealed this summer. Might be out before the end of the year. Appreciate you dropping in and commenting!
I was skeptical of the current version of the crv but it’s cvt transmission is nothing like say the older Nissan cvt transmission. It cycles the excess boost all the while having a very linear acceleration. It’s not supposed to be a race car and actually picks up nicely. Honda already said the hp will be increased. The hp will probably be similar to the Kia Sorento

Wouldn't it be sick if on the Touring trim we got the Accord 2.0T & 10 speed?
The only way that would happen would be if the top trim Rav4 gets the 2.4t or if the top trim Rogue gets the 2.0VCT
@@Blank00 CX5 does have a bigger engine 2.5T
@@blackwhirlwind1245 but Mazda is now aiming to compete with luxury brands like Acura and Lexus, they no longer intend to compete in the econobox segment that Honda and Toyota occupy
That would be fun, maybe like a CR-V Type-R?! 😂 Appreciate you dropping in and commenting!
@@Blank00 but I still view Mazda as a mainstream brand. Also, Toyota does have a performance RAV4, it’s called RAV4 Prime.
Never been a fan of current CR-Vs, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
You answered my question before I posted it. 👍 Appreciate your thoughts and thanks for dropping in and commenting!
Hope they make cargo space bigger.
From what I'm seeing I think that may happen. Appreciate you dropping in and commenting!
RAV4 has taken so much market share from Honda in this segment. They need to step it up asap
I don't disagree and I think the RAV4 is due for a refresh soon too. Appreciate you dropping in and commenting.
@@MtnRoads the RAV4 is due for a new generation for the 2024 model year.
@@tr7287 Did some checking after reading your comment. Looks like RAV4 interior should get significant upgrade for 2023 and yes, new gen in 2024. Thanks for the follow-up!
It looks big, bulky and disproportionate.
Appreciate your thoughts. Thank you for dropping in and commenting!
212 HP is trash. Need to be 250 at the very minimum
I do think they should be able to do better than 212HP. Especially if they are upsizing the CR-V. Appreciate you commenting!
crappy engine and crappy transmission option .. what a wasted opportunity.. the design is looking decent though
