Coh 1 2006 GFX aged incredibly well, in certain aspects IMO it even looks more realistic than COH 2.
Yeah, I think coh1 has the best graphics, the grittiness and UI just gives it more realism IMO
Ofcourse, CoH1 from 2006 has still better graphic then CoH2, even then CoH3 whats going to be 17years newer... Relic degeneration... sad
we were in awe of the grafix when we got our 8800GTS's back in the day. Beta player here. CoH was a fantastic standout, nearly the last game of an old era (pre-2008 crash). Orange Box era. I swear that crash ushered in a 7 or 8 year desert & things were never the same. It sucks how games largely stopped being pretty.
Thank you for posting more CoH1 content; instant watch for me whenever I see it pop up in my feed. This game really hit the perfect note of RTS complexity and is a blast to watch even 16 years after release.
Easily the most nail biting moments in CoH1 history. Every so often I forget the details of what happened, so I come back and rewatch it. Never gets old.
The three minutes following 1:33:00 has gotta be one of the most insane COH1 moments to ever exist in the game's almost 20 years of existence holy shit

At 1:34:00 look at the position of the 2 infantry squads of PE up top. That's what decided the game. He desperately needed them in the center. A classic attack/flank when you need to defend mistake, yet after an hour and a half who can blame him :D Epic game, thank you for commentating this and please never leave us without at least some CoH 1.

Most wild game of CoH1 i've ever seen. Incredible. Major shout out to using the PE with Sorched Earth tactics. My favorite and I was cheering the whole way. I only wish at the end PE used Scortched Earth against the VP to buy some more time. The one near the allied base could have been blown up.
Also, the munitions for MP44's could have been used for sector arty instead. Have to sacrfice manpower but might have turned the game.
Incredible nonetheless. Best game i've ever seen.
You know stuff has bogged down when chat turns to tax return procedures. Not many US squads in the final 10 minutes!

Don't worry - COH3 will include a feature where if an infantry unit tosses an anti tank grenade, the tank will be unable to move until the grenade hits.

24:40 Pretty sure he brought it back to base to reload its treadbreaker ability, he got the upgrade that reduces the cooldown on all abilities in your HQ sector from 4 minutes to 9 seconds, which is also what the munitions halftrack does. You can tell it's being "reloaded" by the munitions icon above it.
The discussion about filling out tax returns in the chat was rather representative of the game.

Ill never forget when i did a recon plane and it got shot down by PE's AA and it crashed right into their tier 2 and tier3 buildings destroying them lol

What an epic close game!
Too bad the PE player kept spamming panthers, when he could rely on its only vet 2 panther and build a P4 to contain the infantry blobs, and maybe pull out a marder III to support it when it got swarmed. Also no mines, he was floating 1000 fuel, he could have easily built an ammo HT and placed some mines.

i really dislike the use of the sturmgewehr here, he never walked a single flank into the AT guns.
Also the panthers could have moved north and in a few situations have swarmed a single sherman without AT gun support

I would have got a second hummel out as soon as this clutch airstrike happe ed and fired right away at VP. Would have won i think. But after an hour and a half. U start losing braincells. I know how it feels.

Wait, were Vet 3 Rifle actually the best unit in CoH History? I thought that was Vet 3 double StG Stormtroopers? 450 Manpower (iirc, been a long time) and 120 Munitions plus Veterancy investment for an absolute devastator of a unit.

Man, the VP drain in COH and early COH 2 was so slow that 1v1 could go this long.

Airborne is the most stable US company vs PE
So stupid from German player dont use Marders 3 for defending and holding position, but use the Panters (rush tanks for furious atacks) to defend the position... It so dumm!
