I've said for a good long while now that after BHVR's banwave a few years back, the cheater problem plummeted, then steadily began to rise back up. By the time the Unknown was released, like literally right after the chapter dropped, the amount of Cheaters in the game SKYROCKETED. We are currently sitting back in the 2020 Epidemic levels of Cheaters, only instead of flying around the map screaming at mach 10, they're making themselves run just a little bit faster, do gens just a little bit quicker, lunge just a bit further, and always have an eye on the enemy team's aura regardless of whether or not they're in a locker, or undetectable. I don't know if BHVR can fix the issue, since they hackers are basing their cheats on old, leaked dev tools, but at the very, absolute least they need to go through another ban wave because this is ridiculous.
the best part is that the advantage they get is not even that big. When I played with this cheater I mentioned they almost always died, in every game, despite having all the advantage, so ofc it doesn't show on a statistic (aka most cheaters are just bad)
Simple; because people are getting better at cheating and writing cheats; subtle cheats will never go away, only hardcore obvious cheats.

Finally someone that speak about the incredible amount of subtle cheaters in the game, I'm tired of getting called paranoid for noticing something that a lot of people don't
If you use NOED, Franklins, Surge, Remember Me and perks like that you'll notice a lot of survivors will play accordingly based on what perks you have, even if the perk isn't revealed to them yet.
@@noscrubsm yeah you can also notice this with full totem builds, good teams will cleanse pretty quickly no doubt about that, I have a lot of hours on survivors too and after a lot you memorize totem spawn points, but you still need to check them all first, I know more or less how much time you need to do that and I see a lot of subtle cheaters that cleanse all totems in 2 seconds thinking they're smart, without realizing that experienced players will notice that. The worst are good survivors that cheat too in a way that's is almost impossible to spot.
Same. Any time I've ever tried to mention the possibility of running into cheaters, people act like I'm crazy/wrong. And to make things worse, when you DO have solid evidence of cheaters behaviours report system makes it difficult to submit it since it always gives errors when you add video.

i actually somehow heard about this situation you're talking about. the part that confuses me about this one situation specifically is, survivors can lose their collision by using maps and... I think keys? my question is, why the hell do survivors not lose their collision when they get afk crows, which would prevent these kinds of bodyblocks in the first place?
I think thats probably abusable, you could go afk on purpose and then have zero collision with the killer when you come back. It's not an efficient strategy but it can be abused
@@AllOfARCHnot really. It takes too long to go afk and if they did add a loss of collision when afk, they would probably make it so you gain it back when you start moving again.
I'm afraid it could be used to intentionally go afk and force server shutdown, since there would be no way to take the survivor out of the game if they have no collision :(
does having no collision mean having no hitbox? like, you can use the map item to walk through the killer, but you can't use it to dodge hits, can you? that's what I was thinking of
To help clarify for the people, the no collision that is being spoken on is for the survivor not colliding with other survivors/killer, not with the terrain.. It cannot be efficiently abused, especially when you lose collision as of getting hit by the killer anyway. We can see this in play with the Knight losing collision with survivors in chase with a guard, if its not abusable there chances are it won't be abusable as a anti-bodyblock mechanic. Also the use of keys and clairvoyance to phase through the killer is only when they are in an animation like window vaulting. None of this prevents the survivor from taking damage.

I was distracting a killer at shack while a teammate ran for the rescue. I was running Kindred and Open handed and managed to be on the opposite side of the shack from the killer. I could tell he could see me through the walls because he was matching the direction I was moving to and reversing his direction exactly when I would and if he had aura reading perks, they had no cooldown or expiration. I played a match of Demogorgon some months ago, after traversing a portal you are undetectable for a little bit which also hides your aura, so if you hide it behind a wall at a certain distance survivors can't know you traversed. Every single survivor knew where I was the moment I came out of a portal, even when I put multiple in different spots so they would have no idea which one I was coming from, they always knew. The fact that this can happen and still its impossible to prove who or if someone was cheating is insane. It coulda been 1 cheater in a swf, could have been 0 cheaters and just great comms, could have been every single player cheating, no possible way to know. Its because of things like these that for this game I think its better to just assume they were cheating, whether or not action is taken on it. Cheating in DBD is also not as simple as many games, instead of paying for cheats and you get everything, you have to pay extra for more cheats, so many people will pay a smaller sum of money to get only the basic cheats like wallhacks or gen speed manipulation. Definitely easier on the brain than trying to wrap your head around everything without having a way to know.

Such a stupid take. You think console doesn't have cheaters? And you think every PC player cheats? Almost none of them, statistically, do. Practically none. if you bring them to the teammate randomly while in chase, no. If you do it purposefully so the killer gets them, it absolutely is. I have had people banned for that.
I have to say a program that gives you items or perks and cosmetics isn't cheating. it's in the game for everyone, giving already experienced players access to more items and perks is unfair considering it's a PVP game. Cosmetics literally offer no competitive advantage so that isn't a cheat either. Wallhacks, speedhacks, perk stacking, addon stacking, insta heals, flyhacks, perk editing, changing how powers work those are cheats.
There HAS to be limits. People constantly convince themselves to go further and further with an idea even if they don't realize it. Sure, you can eventually get those items, those perks, or even cosmetics sure. But you should really just not be modifying the game at all. The sooner a lot of people start using these cheats, the more tempted they'll be to try cheats that do other things. If they stew on it long enough, they WILL convince themsleves to do it.
here’s my response to your rage bait. Cosmetics only exist to support the game. If you can’t afford to pay for them, play the game without them. I’m f you can’t afford to play long enough to spend shards on cosmetics, don’t use shards on cosmetics before you unlock characters and their perks. You don’t need all the perks; you want all the perks. You don’t need the new cosmetic; you want the new cosmetic. So-called “experienced players” spent real money and time to earn those in-game status symbols. You don’t have the right to hack in legacy skins. Legacy skins exist for the players that spent way too much time unlocking them by hitting p100 back in the day. They EARNED it, and anything that gives you items, perks, or cosmetics without EARNING them is CHEATING. Even paying someone to drop you flashlights in your matches would be seen as cheating by most players.
A program to give you anything is absolutely cheating. I get where you're coming from and your frustrations but you are altering the game, therefore plain and simple it's cheating.
@@bLendDub I see so many videos talking about this guy where all the comments don't seem to understand this fact. If they will cheat in that way they will cheat in other ways.

Story time: Be me, humble little Skull Merchant on Temple of Purgation. I chase a Leon, no biggie, get a hit, he runs, we get to the sanctuary of the Temple. I down him. I pick him up aaaand boom. I get DCd on stream. I'm like what? Again? The fuck is going on here? Learn cheaters can do this. MFW 😶
TBF sometimes the servers just dies (it has happened once in a very unfortunate situation to me, just after a survivor got a flashlight save so it also looked like a ragequit), but there have absolutely been these cases too sadly
@@rogueroentgen Oh, oh wow, I didn't know that could happen. So how would I figure out the difference before I blindly assume a butt-hurt cheater?
@@ToxicSentinelTTV i have very few ideas. I've noticed that when the server crashes other people also run into walls or stay still, so that is easy to spot sometimes, but if you are in a situation where none would have moved anyway (for example you just hooked or downed someone) I really don t know how you could tell them apart :°
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:
CROSS PLAY with PC should be optional and cross play between consoles should be on by default.
I can’t stand pc players in general and every game that has cross play with them always suffers from tons of hackers. I play on console to avoid that bullshit and it still finds its way into my damn game with all this cross play shit.
what a shitty solution
Such a stupid take. You think console doesn't have cheaters? And you think every PC player cheats? Almost none of them, statistically, do. Practically none. I PROMISE you the people that you claim are cheating, are most likely just using perks. It happens all the time because people cannot fathom that they just straight up lost.
Dude is saying console players don’t cheat. My guy… my sweet summer child… please maintain this innocence forever.
@@jamesboyd4597 my guy, I see so many speed hackers and flying survivors and I know for a fact you CANT do that on console.
@@BitTheByte never said that, I’m talking about how PC players always introduce blatant cheats/hacks that are impossible to do on console.
I’m aware of cheaters on console, but they are nowhere near the level of what PC cheaters can do.
For the record, Behavior needs to implement an in-game proximity chat comm system and ban external comms
slugging to bleed every one out is not a banable thing
Correct, you are still technically progressing the game and it will end
generally speaking, no, just as hiding indefinitely is not bannable - it is tho if you stream yourself saying you're doing it to make the game last as long as possible (aka holding the game hostage). I have had people banned for this.
@@rogueroentgenno. You haven't. Four man slugging even if done with 100% intent to just slug and bleed everyone out is 100% not bannable. The game is progressing. Slowly, but surely.
@@jinxdbd if thinking it never happened makes you sleep at night, by all means!
@@rogueroentgen If it did happen the devs violated their own rules or YOU misunderstood why the ban was applied. Also. You're just yapping atp and haven't provided any evidence for what you're claiming here. Either way take care! I'm not invested enough to bother
Bringing the killer to your team mates is not bannable.
Siding with the Killer is explicitly reportable.
if you bring them to the teammate randomly while in chase, no.
Money
@@bLendDub I see so many videos talking about this guy where all the comments don't seem to understand this fact. If they will cheat in that way they will cheat in other ways.
The streamer injected items. This isn't something you should be banned permanently for.
If you didn't need to cheat them in then everyone would have them at start. The scale of the "crime" doesn't matter it still is what it is cheating.
How dire you or I perceive the offense is is not relevant - cheating is permabanned and this has been made clear since the very beginning by the devs.
reshade should b banable can give a full advantage when people increase reds an decrease other colors and see scratch marks across the map that's hacking
Why ?
Making the game more accessible should be on the devs and there is no reason why it should be a reason for bans.
