Pancho Vladigerov - Piano Concerto N. 3 - Bulgarian Classics

- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- This beautiful and expressive piano concerto was composed by the bulgarian composer Pancho Vladigerov (1899-1978) - considered one of the most important figure in bulgarian culture in 20-th century. This concerto is among his most famous works and was composed in 1937 following the romantic tradition while incorporating some bulgarian traditional music themes. My oppinion is that this work deserves more world attention and my intention by uploading this recording was to make it more popular and reach people's hearts all over the world.
Performed by Georgii Cherkin - piano
Symphony orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio
Conducted by Milen Nachev
Only the first movement of the concerto, and still most welcome.
Greetings from East Anglia in England
страхотен концерт - един от любимите ми, благодаря ...
beatiful music ...congratulacions

Listen to kyurkchiyski’s concerto for piano
@@donnytello1544 its is beautiful thanks
@@thronesdominion your welcome! not too many people know about him so cherish the knowledge
You know, I can hear what reminds of Rachmaninov, but what I admire about this (from a composer born more than a generation later) is that it avoids Rachmaninov's sentimentality, though frankly Romantic and "heroic" at times. Vladigerov has also heard Enesco, Bartok and Prokofiev. You her some Skriabinesque harmonies in some of his music, too--not here, though.
5:33 the crystal drops sound
remarquable compositeur de grand talent helas trop meconu en europe occidentale particulierement en france malheureusement!!!
How sad in a way that my comments are the last, this is in a way trully obscure pieces and composer. Sevdana is great too, listened it a couple of times too.
I listen "SEVDANA" every day! Don't worry - - so many people listen only "Fur Elize"! Nothing to do with this fact! 😅
most of the time I listen but don't comment.
If every time I listen to it, I leave a comment, this channel would be flooded with my comments :))
@@amberlu3088 Very nice said, sincere and correct!I am impressed with the fact You listen to Bulgarian classic! Best wishes 😊
You are correct.. This does deserve much more world attention as does Pancho Vladigerov. This was a beautiful performance. Thanks for the virtuosity and different genres you bring to RUclips also. You're like a breath of fresh air compared to many here, and this is just one more example of that.
Би било чудесно ако има възможност да се правят повече такива записи.
Имаме прекрасни композитори, но за съжаление произведенията им са непознати дори за нас.
Nice theme, reminds to Rachm. but still Vladigerov...
I would be very interested in having the score for this concerto, perhaps even performing it here! If you see this please write me, thank you!

09/10/2017 19:00 - "Bulgaria Hall" in Sofia, Bulgaria. I couldn't find online tickets. :/
Did you find the score?
@@MorbidMayem I never did, unfortunately!
Not so Rachmaninovian but very Respighian. I have an LP with the composer at the piano.
Rachmaninovian.
Came back and it's still as great.
It is very beautiful, and there is a freshness in it that is unusual. Moreover, I believe this is exactly how the composer wanted it to be interpreted.
Жоре, моля те публикувай и другите части. Фантастична интерпретация!
Гениално, прекрасно, българско!
milen nachev is such a critically underrated conductor. glad to see more content by him on yt nowadays
very interesting, thanks for sharing Bulgarian classical music with us
ok, thanks
This is part of Vladigerov's op.31, but, alas, this is only the first movement (Con moto mosso). It also has a nice Andante and an Allegro vivace movement.
Rachmaninovian...wright:) I listen it again and again and I feel perfectly in my Bulgarian skin. Don't Stop, Жоро, not for a day !!!
Excellent performance sir, as you said beautiful and expressive
Do, "Liebestraume," by Franz Liszt...
