I wish I had the energy to think so hard about games. Usually I play games to relax if you tell yourself that you play to relax and then think as hard as this consider if you are relaxing or not.

I get what you mean. It seems hard from a spectator POV but after a while, the mental load isn’t that much. You just start doing things naturally. Me explaining it while I was doing it probably made it seem more involved.

Once you are in the zone it's a pleasurable sensation going through familiar thought patterns, rather than struggling with something new.

@@Kuiriel I understand now. If you can get into that form of concentration, you can do well on the game which will boost happy emotions after playing because you did well.

@@CatalystHD this is of topic but as long as you are not repeatedly killing new players then there is no problems with playing this well.

Really sucks when people know where the spawns are and police them. Thanks for the stream of thought gameplay, though. Very enlightening.

Great job, your ability to hear and place an enemy, above , below or anywhere else is remarkable. I use a headset, but find it hard to locate them by sound. If I crank up the volume, the other game play is deafening. Also your insane accuracy, keep these coming.

Best tip that got me from middle of the scoreboard and 0.75 K/D for years since BF3 to top 3 and 3.0 K/D is having played Insurgency for a year and thus learning not to depend on a minimap but to listen to my surroundings. Also aiming is silly easy after Insurgency's recoil 😄

I try to do what you do, i make similar choices, try to use cover, get the high ground, watch the minimap, go for flanks, listen for footsteps. I played first person shooters since 1997, and in this game no matter what I do, always get shot from 5 different directions, or there's always someone from a random angle just strolling through my own guys undisturbed and i swear just beelining for me. The second I put my head out of a rock i get maybe one or two potato dudes when I'm lucky then some level 9000 guy with full red badges blast me from half the map away with perfect accuracy. Like... it's frustrating :|

This is a great run down, the meta of each map and their spawns would be a useful set of videos.
On footsteps, I apologise if you've answered this elsewhere, but what do you have your audio set to in game? I mean 3d headphones, stereo or headphones, etc. I use decent headphones and always just had it on stereo in the past for the clean sounding audio. Nothing fancy in your equaliser etc?

The ceiling is definitely higher on PC, but it is totally possible to reach this level on console. Some of the best players on PC I know were players that reached similar levels on console.

I was wondering if this games worth it idk when next bf is coming out but I thought about buying 2042 and should I hold out wait till a sale how's the player base cause even on steam its getting not so good reviews so I'm hoping to not buy a somewhat dead game like how hardliners was even tho I enjoyed hardline

    • @CatalystHD

Wait for the game on sale. The game is cross play so the player base is healthy enough.
