@@davidmaxfieldgolf because if you buy it for AU$500 its a life time worth of Updates, so if you had to cancel your subscription, you'll still have the game but no updates to play online tournaments.
If you have a Rapsodo mlm2pro and the Ex Putt simulator, someone made a GSPRO connector that incorporates both so you can putt. With how accurate both launch monitors are, you basically have a high end simulator for a fraction of the cost. It's a complete game changer to the golf sim community.
You played my course. Brookwater was my first course I designed for GSPro last year. The courses have gotten a lot better since then. Glad you enjoyed 👍🏻
It was phenomenal. Loved the software. Practise data was a bit of a let down even though the graphics are amazing. The inability to be able to see stats and averages on screen in the app would make it a lot better that her than exporting it to CSV but the rest is amazing
@@davidmaxfieldgolf they are improving the software all the time. Wouldn’t be surprised if that comes at some point. I have a few more QLD course on GSPro if you have another hit. Just submitted Cape Kidnappers also. 👍🏻
@@davidmaxfieldgolf unfortunately not. I think I’m the only person doing QLD courses at the moment. I have put Brookwater, Windaroo lakes, Mount Coolum, Pacific Harbour, Howeston (my local course) Hamilton Island and now Cape Kidnappers (NZ) on.
You can go-to club mapping to gap your clubs so when you change your distance you want to hit it will change your club number. I believe you can also change the number manually. Also in practice you click on the tiles and you can change to imperial or meters. Click on the words to change it. If playing a game you go to game settings to change to meters.
Yeah we. Changed the metrics but the problem with us Aussies is that we use Meters for distance then Mph for ball speed and swing speed etc. so we need the flexibility of being able to use both at once. Confusing bunch haha 😂 I didn’t see the club mapping but having to individually go back in and change each shot to the right club is a bit annoying. Because if I hit 50 shots with a 7 iron I’d have to individually change 50 shots if it gets the iron wrong. And also it doesn’t give an average of the stats on screen which is disappointing, just offers a csv. Other than that though it is fantastic! They’re minor things for number and stat geeks like me. The course play is incredible
I like the graphics. But even better is the ball physics interacting with uneven/undulating terrain which makes the sim much more useful/realistic. Great job on all your sim reviews!
Yeah definitely good to watch some tutorials on GSpro- it’s easy to fix all those things, the software is easy to use but has some really advanced features
@@boredymcboredface8624 I like it, the course play is awesome. Range is the only let down for me. Very basic and no on screen stat analysis. You get individual shot stats and you can export a csv but that’s just annoying. Should be in app and on screen
What did you mean by on-screen statistics? It integrates with SGT which is Simulator Golf Tour and tons of stats are compiled for you there when playing SGT events. Also, there is bag mapping available and I see that the newest beta version has some other very good training features incorporated. Nice video and keep up the good work! New subscriber here!
Thanks mate. In the version we are playing here you can’t see average stats on screen. They have to be exported to. CSV file which many have commented as a downside to GSPro. If they’ve updated it that’s awesome. As for practise I found the software a bit lacking but for course play it’s amazing. 😁
@davidmaxfieldgolf I agree with those statements. The on course practice feature free placement for ball position anywhere on any course is one of my favorite practice features on GSPRO.
in each tile you can set distance to metric and ball speed to imperial this works for a shot to shot basis and can be done when selecting what tiles you want on the screen, however in the shot list after you have hit multiple shots it will go off your base metric or imperial settings (let down massively) also your club selector has been hidden in settings so instead of changing in the screen shot list after you hit you can do before hand. also i believe the only way to do averages if you hit multiple clubs is currently to export a csv file and break down yourself (yet another major letdown)
Thank you for that, confirms my suspicions. The fact you can’t use both mph and Meters kinda sucks for Aussies who use both. Confusing bunch down here lol 😂 but what I got from it was that as a course play software it’s incredible. As a practise tool, I’d use something else because I’m a stats and numbers nerd
David, I think the distance problems you were having are due to the elevation. Your gap from 102 was long because you were significantly above the hole. The knockdown wedge didn't make the green because it was significantly uphill.
So what was your verdict on comparison with the r10? Seems like you forgot due to the amount of fun you were having, must admit it looked fantastic , keep them coming mate.
I think as a course play software it’s the best I’ve used that is compatible with the r10. As a practise software though, awesome golf is better for the numbers and stats that can get displayed on screen with averages etc
GSPRO definitely has one of the best graphics and physics out there. But in looking at their PC requirement, it will have you spend another $1000 or so for a gaming computer, on top of the $250 year in subsription.
not really, you can set the graphics to a lower setting and they also offer a "lite" version. obviously the graphics will be more diminished but still great looking and fast.

GS PRO uses dynamic penalties. When you are in the rough, the higher loft you use, the less it's going to affect the ball flight.
