Great video! I’m not a big fan of seeing the ball 10ft in front of me like in GSPro. I much more prefer the option E6 Connect has were the view on screen starts at your distance from the screen. What is your preference?
Thanks mate. Each sim software only offers the club/ball stats that each launch monitor provides. It’s nothing to do with GSPro or TGC2019 - all that data comes from the launch monitors
Great videos brother... I have a debate going with my son about your indoor sim when you made the hole in one! at the 6:08 minute mark. He thinks its over 8ft. wide, I think its under 8ft. We are planning a sim build and that info would be very helpful. Thanks for the help, and keep cranking out the great content!
Mitch Another great video! I’m always learning new things from your reviews. And I came to the same conclusion as you did. For the money, GS pro is the winner and the developers are continually improving it. If you give them time, they’ll probably have an option for crowds in the background!
Thank you David, I am glad the channel has been helpful to you 🙌🏼 hopefully GSPro will continue to grow as much as it promises and hopefully prices don’t grow either! 😂
I've got TGC 2019 and love it for the same reasons you do but I am very disapointed that they never do any upgrades or fix any bugs for a program I paid 900$ ! I will still play TGC 2019 and hope that they someday show a little more respect for their customers. I will very likely buy GSpro to get what TGC could easily offer in an upgrade. I wouldn't mind even paying extra money for some added features... Too bad...
I agree totally, $900/£900 is an extortionate amount of money for something that doesn't get updates! As great as it is, it would be nice to know that they look after their customers enough to make minor tweak's & changes to the software when necessary
Great review. Do you have a video how more than one player can play on the same simulator? Like you and your buds taking turns playing? Love to see how that is set up and works.
Thanks for the video. I am a new SkyTrak owner and I have been uncertain as to which gaming program purchase. The price of GSPro is very reasonable compared to TGC 2019 and with the continuing updates it seems to be the best deal. Again, thanks for the comparisons.
Great comparison! Do you find it works really well with the backdoor skytrak interface? I played it on uneekor a few times and really liked it but haven't got it for my skytrak yet . Seriously considering it as long as it doesn't have too many issues with the skytrak LM
Thanks pal! It has worked really well for me so far on SkyTrak and I hope it continues. It occasionally doesn’t read shots (more than usual) which can be frustrating nothing too major 👍🏼
Thanks for a great comparison. I purchased TGC2019 Lifetime license in April 2020 because it was on 30% off sale (~$700 USD), but have not used or activated it because my sim build got delayed with covid. Just been using the Mevo+ with the iPad. I'm now close to getting the sim completed.. Do you think I should sell the license and get GSPro?
TGC 2019 is great and I am sure you will love it. GSPro seems to be much more up and coming and only getting better. Since I have had GSPro, I have hardly played on TGC 2019! The decision is yours. You can try out GSPro and if you dont like it they give you your money back 👍🏼
I run GSPro with SkyTrak. IMO some of the older GSPro courses are rather meh in terms of graphics and detail. The recent addition of "The Home of the Players" to their catalog really pushed GSPro into new territory. The graphics and attention to detail are outstanding. The new lighting model with the 1.3 update didn't hurt either.
Thanks for all the information in this review. I'm trying to decipher the GSPro licensing options and I have a question that I couldn't resolve from their website. If I have the GSPro subscription + lifetime addon, can I cancel the subscription and then a few years later re-add the subscription and keep the lifetime option? I.e. only pay the $250 when I want to get an update? Also, with just the lifetime option, do you retain the ability to download new courses?
Yes, from what I can gather I believe that you would be able to re-subscribe to get the latest update. If your subscription has ended then I don’t think you would be able to download any new courses and I also don’t think you would be able to access online play. If I am wrong then anyone reading this who knows more about it, feel free to update! 🙂
It was a very thorough and detailed comparison and a very clear one. But, I think you should also mention the PC requirements for both soft wares. GSPro's requirements are much higher, therefore adding quite a lot to the total cost.
I just (11/26/2024) purchased and installed the latest API connector with GSPro for my SKYTRAK OG as I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I Have 60 days left on my TGC2019 and need to make the decision as to which one to go with. The install went flawless. However, the performance of GSPro in comparison to TGC2019 is substantially worse. GSPro’s graphics seem very clunky. Rendering is splotchy. Tracer and camera following is not very smooth at all. That second or two pause to see ball flight after you hit the ball becomes more and more painful. Note that other launch monitors probably don’t see this. I attribute it to the connector delay pushing the ball flight data to the software and the algorithms crunching it. In GSPro’s defense, it could be that my PC is on the edge of “not being enough”, but for those in the same boat, TGC2019 runs flawless on it. I also feel that the sound is subpar on GSPro. All that seams to come through the speaker is white noise. Quite annoying over time as well. TGC has realistic sounds with a heckling announcer. I’ve become quite a fan of that. The fact that GSPro doesn’t calculate club data is a negative. TGC2019 will provide calculated club and path data that is “directionally correct” and thus fairly useful. Don’t even get me started on the accuracy of chipping and putting in GSPro. If you can’t play all aspects of the game, then what good is it? Lastly, GSPro somehow decides for you that you should be using a LW off of a tee as it moves to the next hole and thus puts the Skytrak in the putting mode creating non registered shots until you manually change it to a PW or greater. My opinion is that TGC2019 is by far a superior product. Smooth graphics, camera following, calculated club data, superior chipping, and accurate putting. Thank God GSPro provides a 7 day refund as after day 1, I will be requesting a refund as TGC2019 is the best in my opinion.
great commentary, I was thinking of getting GsPRO but you have made me have some 'pause'. I just got myself 1 year of TGC19 so I have a 1 year to decide if I need a change. I love the 'heckler' on TGC...makes it way MORE fun!
I think a lot of the issues you are commenting on aren't related to the GsPro software at all. For starters, it sounds like your computer and graphics card may need a boost. You should have no issues with graphics or rendering. It's evident that GsPro is a 'heavier' software than TGC2019, and therefore the computer requirements for running GsPro need to be a degree above what the standard TGC2019 computer specs suggest. As for calculated club data, chipping and putting, these are all functions of the launch monitor you are using and the way its setup/natural surroundings (i.e. ambient light, reflections etc). All this to say, computer upgrades aren't cheap, and maybe it makes sense to continue using TGC2019 and avoid spending the extra $$ on computer parts.
I bought TGC with my SkyTrak monitor. I am now using E6 connect due to the issues with the SkyTrak losing connection with the TGC. I was never able to join back into the game where it crashed. Your experience?
I don’t think I’ve had my TGC crash on me before. It may be something to do with your internet connection? Maybe try to connect your PC to your internet via Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi (if possible). I also have my SkyTrak connected to my PC in USB mode at all times.
@@hcpgolf it’s a good point that I’ve fixed. Everything is hard wired now. However, I do find the SkyTrak starts to miss shots and there isn’t a way to reboot it in the game ( that I know of) without losing your round.
I have the same problem with crashing and I got the best internet with xfinity, when I called skytrak they told me TGC does not work with usb it has to be in network mode which is bullshit
With TGC you get access to about 12 courses offline that are built into the software. With GSPro you can play any courses that you have downloaded. You will need internet access to login to the software (and to download courses), so if you can access the internet to login and download courses in a separate room and then move your laptop/PC to your sim room then GSPro will be a better option 👍
Just bought GSPRO today. I am coming from Uneekor Refine, and I like it a lot better. Ball physics feel great and putting feels a lot more accurate. I was between TGC19 and GSPRO and after I watched this video I am glad I went with GSPRO. I wish there was more courses, but people are constantly adding new ones. Also, I agree with you about the graphics. Like other people have said though, GSPro is constantly being updated and it seems like they really care about their customer base.
I haven’t used GSPro or TGC on any other simulator apart from SkyTrak. I don’t believe the simulator makes much difference apart from the data that is supplied to the software and the lag between your shot and it registering on the software. I hope that makes sense!
GSPro works with GC2, Uneekor (officially supported), GCQuad (with 3rd party interface) and Hawk (with 3rd party interface) and Skytrak (with 3rd party interface). No lag other than Skytrak, but that is due to the hardware limitations of SkyTrak.
I'm not sure about compatibility with the X2 to be perfectly honest. But it looks like both TGC and GSPro work with the X3... so i guess they would work with the X2 as well... If anybody reads this and knows more than me then please let us know
Great vid, just one question. I live in Mexico City where the altitude is a lot, and currently with TGC I have to play sea level, can I change the altitude levels in GSPro?
to be honest I don’t know if you can on GSPro. I haven’t come across that setting myself, not yet anyway. I’d have to have a look and see what I can find. If anyone reading these comments can answer this question that it would be some great information for the community 👍🏼
I have GSPro and the option is there but it does not affect the game. I asked about it in the discord channel and it's in the plan for the future. Sea level is what you get today.
I personally don’t have a problem with the GSPro annual subscription as you are constantly getting the updates and the updates are well worth it. If you prefer to just buy a product outright and not have to worry about it in the future then go for TGC 2019 as it is still great, but it could potentially become outdated over the next few years
I got TGC2019 it’s nice but sometimes my skytrak launch monitor disconnects from WiFi in the middle of a game I can’t minimize TGC so I can connect the skytrak to WiFi and I lose my game and have to start over, does GsPro let you minimize?
You can always set TGC to ‘windowed mode’ in the settings so you can minimise and reconnect. Or you can press the windows key and D together on the keyboard to get you back to your desktop 👍🏼
I am not 100% sure to be honest. Some people have successfully installed and used GSPro with only the SkyTrak basic package, but others are saying you need the Game Improvement Package. I already have the GIP so I haven’t tried it with just the basic package personally. If I were you, I would pay for GSPro and try it using just your basic SkyTrak package. If it doesn’t work then you can always get a full refund from GSPro within 7 days off purchasing. If it does work, then bonus!
You need an internet connection to startup the software as it checks your licence. After that, you should be good to go (as long as you have courses already downloaded). You need internet connection to download courses and play in tournaments.
@@hcpgolf Just confusing with the lifetime subscription and the wording. One of the big draws to TGC2019 is $895 and I'm done. I'd be more likely to drop $750 or $800 and then have a yearly $99 fee for GSPro to keep the updates, then the $250/year.
No. Not yet. They are apparently "in talks" but I've seen some posts recently that imply those talks aren't going well. I really hope they get it sorted because I jumped in and bought a Mevo+ on the 'promise' of the GSPro interface being successful.
yes, there is an unofficial interface out there that the community built. cannot use it though if you have Pro Package though. Currently waiting on Flightscope to announce whether they officially will integrate or not.
I have TGC. If I added GS pro there would be no issues with having both simulations, correct? Adding GS pro wouldn’t mess anything up withTGC? Thanks man. Love your videos.
for me $900 one time vs $250 a yr after 4 year I have paid more for the GS Pro. If I go with GS Pro one time there's no updates where TGC gets any updates.
I see your point. In 4 years time though, if GSPro continues the way it is doing with updates then it has the potential to be way ahead of TGC 2019. Also there have been no updates to TGC 2019 since its release and appears to be no sign of any updates coming in the near future. But TGC 2019 is amazing and I have no issues with it personally, i thoroughly enjoy using it!
You can buy GSPro for $550 and WILL get updates until a new version (estimated 18-24 months). Apples to Apples, it's $350 cheaper than TGC19, and no updates have been made to TGC19 for over 2 years...
You can still get updates on lifetime GSPro if you continue with the sub. The lifetime feature really only kicks in once your sub runs out. At that point you can continue enjoying the game on the last version you had during subscription.
Surprised to hear your verdict seeing that you're a big fan of TGC. I own e6 connect and GSPro and I haven't even bothered to see whats new with the update on E6. If I'm playing sim golf with my R10, I'm playing GSPro. While I haven't had the chance to play TGC, I do think the graphics on TGC are a bit smoother and polished but to be honest I don't care for the commentary or the avatar. And while the graphics on most GSPro courses aren't as polished, they have a quality that makes them seem more "real" than TGC. I'm not sure if that makes sense. One thing to note and that may sway purchasers is that while both pieces of software ask for PC's with pretty powerful GPU's, you can get by with a lot less PC running TGC than you can with GSPro. I have a newer Dell XPS with integrated graphics and TGC and E6 Connect run fine on it while GSPro struggled at the lowest settings. So while the cost of the software is cheaper, most GSPro users will find themselves buying a new gaming laptop while TGC and E6 users can likely make due if their existing PC was bought in the last 5 or 6 years and had decent specs at the time. Anyways, great video.
Hi mate, thanks for your comment 👍🏼 yes I do really like TGC but I think if I was a new sim owner I would go with GSPro. I definitely agree with your comments about the PC though. TGC runs smooth and great on my gaming PC, but GSPro is a bit more stuttery and also I’ve seen other peoples graphics on GSPro and they look a lot more realistic than mine. So you do make a lot of sense 👍🏼Thanks again pal
I have r10 and am interested in GSPro for the cost savings over tgc 2019, but I am worried it will not function as well since it is not an official integration with the device…thoughts?
hey great video. I have tgc 2019 already and I'm satisfied with it. but I like the sound of consistent updates going forward in gspro. wondering if anyone would think its worth it to spend more money for gspro if I already have tgc. Really, my question is, does it seem that ball flight and physics are more accurate or realistic on gspro? and are there any "easy" courses on gspro. im not at Augusta level yet lol
Hi mate. I had TGC 2019 and then paid extra for GSPro and I must admit I have hardly played TGC since because GSPro really is very good. In terms of realism and ball flight, personally I can’t say that I have noticed a huge difference between the two. But more experienced sim golfers than me swear that GSPro is more true to real life. The courses on GSPro are all lovely to play and each course has a large variety of tee boxes you can choose to make them as easy or as difficult as you like. For example, if you wanted to you could play every course as a par 3 course. I hope that helps.

thanks mate! great condensed content, sympathic :)
Thank you pal I hope it helps 👍🏼
Great comparison. I was just wondering what kind of ball or club stats each one offers, with either a skytrak or garment r10 for instance
Thanks mate. My sim is 8ft wide!
Mitch
Another great video!
Smooth no problem. I may try the higher or ultra setting but actually happy with the high setting
Happy days 🙌🏼
Glad you stuck with GSP. It has a lot of promise and the devs are top notch.
It does and I’m looking forward to seeing what future updates bring
I don't currently unfortunately, but I will look into doing something like that in the future 👍🏼
Great review. Spot on mate.
Thank you mate 👍🏼⛳️
Really good review, thanks. It sucks that GS Pro is not available for Mevo+ or Garmin R10.
I believe GSPro does work with the Garmin R10
GSpro definitely works with the R10, but I think you're correct with the Mevo.
Thanks for the video. I am a new SkyTrak owner and I have been uncertain as to which gaming program purchase. The price of GSPro is very reasonable compared to TGC 2019 and with the continuing updates it seems to be the best deal. Again, thanks for the comparisons.
No problem, I hope they have helped. Thanks for the comment 🙌🏼
Great info. Thanks so much
Glad it was helpful 🙌🏼⛳️
Thanks for a great comparison. I purchased TGC2019 Lifetime license in April 2020 because it was on 30% off sale (~$700 USD), but have not used or activated it because my sim build got delayed with covid. Just been using the Mevo+ with the iPad. I'm now close to getting the sim completed.. Do you think I should sell the license and get GSPro?
TGC 2019 is great and I am sure you will love it. GSPro seems to be much more up and coming and only getting better. Since I have had GSPro, I have hardly played on TGC 2019! The decision is yours. You can try out GSPro and if you dont like it they give you your money back 👍🏼
I’ll buy it 👍🏻
I appreciate the vid mate..... liked and subbed... cheers 🙏
Much appreciated! ⛳️
I agree with all of that 🙌🏼
Do you know what the transfer fees are for these two software programs when it comes to changing your launch monitor or computer?
I’m not sure to be perfectly honest mate I’m sorry. If anyone reads this and knows the answer it would be great if you could let Matt know 👍🏼⛳️
I have the TGC 2019 and It doesn't cost anything to transfer to a different computer. Not sure about the launch monitor.
What's the height & width of your golf room? Thanks
Height: 2.4m
Width: 2.4m
Length: 5m (ish)
how do you play in tournaments if you cant hit driver?
On GSPro, there are 3 different Tours based upon how far you can hit the ball 👍🏼⛳️
It was a very thorough and detailed comparison and a very clear one. But, I think you should also mention the PC requirements for both soft wares. GSPro's requirements are much higher, therefore adding quite a lot to the total cost.
Yes thats a fair point, GSPro does require a higher spec computer to be able to run courses smoothly 👍🏼
Thank you on your Launch monitor list does GSpro work with GS3?
Do you mean the new Foresight GC3? If so, then yes you can connect to GSPro with that 👍🏼
anybody knows if MLM2 Pro would be supported ???
MLM2 Pro will work with GSPro but not TGC2019 👍🏼⛳️
Does GSPro allow you to offset center position like TGC2019 in case your hitting position isn’t centered with screen?
Yes you can offset on GSPro 👍🏼
Just kill "server.exe" in the task manager when it disconnects and relaunch the connection app and connect. You dont have to restart tgc at all
Nice video, and both look great. I can’t get wifi access in my sim, so which of the two softwares is best for local offline play?
When I made this video I was still very much on the fence but now I feel that GSPro is becoming great and it’s graphics are definitely getting better!
thanks for this just about to make the decision does the simulator make any difference to your choice say if it was Skytrak?
I haven’t used GSPro or TGC on any other simulator apart from SkyTrak. I don’t believe the simulator makes much difference apart from the data that is supplied to the software and the lag between your shot and it registering on the software. I hope that makes sense!
@@hcpgolf many thanks for the reply
GSPro works with GC2, Uneekor (officially supported), GCQuad (with 3rd party interface) and Hawk (with 3rd party interface) and Skytrak (with 3rd party interface). No lag other than Skytrak, but that is due to the hardware limitations of SkyTrak.
@@HalfCab180_what is the third-party interface that works with Skytrak?
I can’t find the list of launch monitors that work with each software. I have a Flightscope X2. Which software should I focus on?
I'm not sure about compatibility with the X2 to be perfectly honest. But it looks like both TGC and GSPro work with the X3... so i guess they would work with the X2 as well... If anybody reads this and knows more than me then please let us know
@@hcpgolf per flightscope: all FS Golf devices from X1 to X3 (incl Xi product range and Mevo+ Product Range)
I’ve just had a look Patricio and there is a setting for altitude on the GSPRO settings menu 👍🏼
@@hcpgolf thank you so much for replying!
At this time, altitude (and wind) in GSPro is disabled. It is a feature the developers have said will be added in time, along with wind.
I have GSPro and the option is there but it does not affect the game. I asked about it in the discord channel and it's in the plan for the future. Sea level is what you get today.
GS Pro no longer has a lifetime purchase option. Thoughts? TGC2019 seems more attractive now.
I personally don’t have a problem with the GSPro annual subscription as you are constantly getting the updates and the updates are well worth it. If you prefer to just buy a product outright and not have to worry about it in the future then go for TGC 2019 as it is still great, but it could potentially become outdated over the next few years
Cool comparison a tricky one …to separate the two 🍻⛳️ also think Gspro has the edge !
Thanks pal, definitely a tricky one to separate!
Great comparison. You had me until the Golf tracing. Hate that. When I go out to a golf course I don’t see that. 😊
Haha I like it!
you can turn it off
I got TGC2019 it’s nice but sometimes my skytrak launch monitor disconnects from WiFi in the middle of a game I can’t minimize TGC so I can connect the skytrak to WiFi and I lose my game and have to start over, does GsPro let you minimize?
You can always set TGC to ‘windowed mode’ in the settings so you can minimise and reconnect. Or you can press the windows key and D together on the keyboard to get you back to your desktop 👍🏼
Can putting be turned off on GSpro?
You can set it to auto putt/gimmes 👍🏼
Do you need to have any subscription with skytrack to play gs Pro.
Thanks for your reply. I have the gip its due for renewal soon was wo during if it wasn't needed at £99 a year would make it an even better deal
available for flightscope anytime soon??
I believe things are in motion but I’m not aware of if/when it may happen
@@hcpgolf thanks buddy!! Keep grinding
Hi there can gspro be played in offline mode? Or is it online only?
You need an internet connection to startup the software as it checks your licence. After that, you should be good to go (as long as you have courses already downloaded). You need internet connection to download courses and play in tournaments.
Really wish GSPro had a better cost model.
Really? What do you think could be better?
@@hcpgolf Just confusing with the lifetime subscription and the wording. One of the big draws to TGC2019 is $895 and I'm done. I'd be more likely to drop $750 or $800 and then have a yearly $99 fee for GSPro to keep the updates, then the $250/year.
Does GS pro work with mevo+?
I’m not 100% sure but at this moment in time it doesn’t look like it does 👎🏼
No.
They (Mevo) recently announced support for GSPro.
Yes, I’ve been using it with my Mevo+ for six months now.
Great vid. Thanks
Appreciate that, thanks 👍🏼
I have TGC. If I added GS pro there would be no issues with having both simulations, correct? Adding GS pro wouldn’t mess anything up withTGC? Thanks man. Love your videos.
No mate, they are just completely separate pieces of software. It’s like having two games for a PlayStation. I have both 👍🏼 Thanks buddy!
for me $900 one time vs $250 a yr after 4 year I have paid more for the GS Pro.
I believe it functions fine. I haven't tried it personally, but from the discord channel it seems to work well 👍🏼
hey great video.
TGC needs to add scramble
It would be great if it did but I don’t see it happening 😔
Nice video. Clean that pc before it chokes to death
😂😂 fair point!
It’s GSpro and it’s not even close
Fair play I like TGC but I am definitely excited to see how GSPro develops 👍🏼
900 dollars? What da fauq you talking about pep.
Outrageously expensive I know 😳🤦🏻♂️
@@hcpgolf 900 for the indoor simulator? Because this game is free on Xbox with gold. Wait you must be talking about the Computer itself?
No mate, just for the software! Crazy I know. Took me a long time to save up and bite the bullet believe me.
@@TheSPEEZY99 thats arcade version, the arcade version was also free on steam for pc. sim version is 800. only diff is sim version can "see" the sim hardware as an input device.
$900 is for a lifetime sub. GSPro has a lifetime price, but you won't get any updates. It's like $400-ish per year otherwise.
TGC 2019 is sooo 2019
😂😂
Great video sir! I knew you would change your mind.🤣
Just want to say everyone at GSPro are incredible. Special shout out to cooke23 and abovethepin. They get you going quick fast and in a hurry.👏👏👏
Thank you mate 👍🏼 I agree those guys on discord are brilliant!
Does the GSPRO work with the R10 launcher
Yes 👍🏼
