This may be a bit off topic, but what are the weak-spots in the sst? I've seen clutch packs available for up to 700ft-lbs of torque, but what happens after? Do the gears shred or does the case split? I remember a tech saying the little bits in the trans breaking after 600ish, but he didn't elaborate.
What measurements should you see in mm when looking at the shift fork positions? Also what is the tolerance for these measurements before the Tcu throws a fork position fault?
I repaired a DCT470 transmission. Before installing it to the vehicle, I did the tests injecting air into the transmission, trying all the changes and the clutches, it worked perfectly. I also sent to clean and repair the valve body. Then I installed the transmission to the vehicle but when starting it the transmission does not start. What is there left to do? The transmission needs programming? If so, what would it be and how do I get it? I will appreciate your help.
When replacing to after market magnets, do they also have to be installed in a certain position like ahen you reglue the stock magnets? Or do you simply slide the aftermarket ones on all the way and tighten the set screws? I remember an older video you mentioned when reglueing the old sensor that it has to be no more than 1mm off. Does this apply to after market magnet as well?
i dont think so mate, im doing research myself and one of their other videos mentioned ab precisely gluing the magent back, but this just fits right in... i may be wrong tho
These Mitsubishi cars are Olden days vehicles now. But, Mitsubishi lives in yesteryear. My Great Grandfather drove a Mitsubishi SST in the first world war and it was old fashioned way back then. I heard that Noah owned one for a while but it didn't have enough Guts to tow the Ark so he traded it for a F1-100.
@@MRTPerformanceAustralia Hello I was also interested in buying the magnets and have emailed you but never got a reply from you, is there any other way to contact you?
That's often the case with modern cars, they're way over-engineered to cut costs. They usually get away with it, but occasionally you get trash like this where it worked on a test bench for however long they tested it, but in the real world it fails consistently.
Matt Ive owned mine for nearly a year now and it has over 250k kms on the clock. They are very very very excellent transmission, some of the smoothest and purest driving experiences i have ever had have been with tuis car and transmission. Honestly. Ensuring the car always is serviced both trans and engine with appropriate fluids and everything will be very worth it and you wont have many issues. Dont be too scared by these videos they are mainly meant for the people who domt look after their boxes
You guys are awesome. Only SST experts in the USA are Kozmic and Sheps transmissions
Also Jacks Transmissions in Colorado
Would really love to see a video on how you guys get the trans out of the car!

Sr. Can you tell me why this transmission in the ralliart don't take P or R or D ? I have this problem now in MKE.
Hey ! Aftter replacing this part do you have to do a transmission re teach so the trans clears itself of the shift fork error ?
I’m located in Trinidad how can I purchase that magnet part??

If you replace the plastic magnet with the stronger metal one do you still need to jig it?

sooo where do i get these magnets?

@@generalsir appreciate it!
A few grub screws alleviates the problem. The bean counters win yet again. Engineering is full of this sort of nonsense.

Just started getting a warning light today
The number of SST videos you have done ensures I would never buy one!
