Enjoy your Z8 !,I love mine it does a great job on birds in flight if I can keep them in view with my f mount 200-500 5.6 , firmware 2.01and using bird subject detection and auto area autofocus, just amazing!
Enjoy your camera good stuff, I have in my had the temptation of buying one! I use Z7 for the moment I have FTZ adapter, and some F lenses works well all!
Thank you Joseph 😍 I think you have a great camera, but this one is ridiculous! 😅 I'm so excited, going out tomorrow morning for my first shoot with it. I'll make sure to vlog about it. 👍
Enjoy using the new camera and I look forward to the results. I have a Z6 and the video/picture mode switch is indeed very useful as the camera switches to whatever settings you have for each mode just using that switch
Thank you. And thanks for pointing out that you revert so to speak to the settings for that mode, it`s a very important point that I could have mentioned. Thanks for watching! 💚🦅
Very interesting to me as I am waiting for delivery of my new Z8 next week. I think I too may find it unusual to view using the EVF, and hope to find it acceptable after a while after using Nikon DSLR's for many years. Thank you very much for the introduction to this camera unboxing and look forward to seeing results. Good luck
Thank you Graham. I had a small test run in the garden yesterday despite the weather being horrendous, and I think I might have gotten used to the EVF in those few minutes! 😄🙈 I have to say, there is a setting that doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 fps at a small penalty on battery consumption. It makes such a difference! So it still feels a bit like looking at a tv very late at night in a dark room, but I think this should be fine. And after taking a few pictures with bird tracking... WOW! 😍 It's a completely new world compared to my old trusty D500!
You will be fine coming from an OVF to the EVF on the Z8/9. I am switching between my D500/D850 and Z9/Zf bodies frequently, and whilst it is a pretty different experience, both OVF and EVF fantastic in their own unique way. Set the Z8 EVF to high refresh and you’re golden.
it was very helpful. so happy to see someone is using 60-600mm Sigma. Thank you for the video!
Thank you, and I'm glad you found it helpful. My plan is to make videos of my process getting to know and (hopefully) master the camera! 🦅💚👍
