Appreciate the transparency around the anxiety/stress! I get the same way lol. Before interviews, my WEDDING, etc. But as soon as it's over I'm fine!! It's crazy. But watching you train inspired me to start running more, so just know it paid off in more ways than one. :) Congrats on achieving this huge goal!
INSPIRING❤❤I did my first half marathon last weekend and when I completed it, I was like “oh there’s no way I can do a full marathon” but ever since I completed it, I can’t stop thinking about I’d love to fight that part of my brain that says I can’t! This just gave me that push to make a goal of doing a full marathon jn 2026!! Hopefully in Ireland, where my ancestors are from 🇮🇪
Crying at this whole thing! So proud of you girl 🎉 also thank you for saying that marathons are for anyone. I’ve seen so much hate and gatekeeping by fast/professional runners towards slower runners lately and that’s not what running is about. I just ran my first half pretty slow but am so proud of myself for doing it! I also thought I was the only one who gets SO anxious before races 😂
Love love love this video!!!! Congratulations my fellow marathoner!! I ran it as well and it was such a great race ….i barely turned on my music because of the crowds ( of course Brooklyn was the best as it’s my borough lol) hope you come back to run it in 2026 when I run it again 😊
congrats!!! I've never raced anything longer than a 5k but hope to do a marathon someday! I teared up watching you cross the finish line. i'd love to hear more about your strength training before/during/after the marathon. I am a runner myself and just started actually lifting in the gym but it's all so foreign to me!! ps 5ks are super fun to train for and race! you don't have to hit high mileage or crazy long runs and get to go super fast!!! plus PRs are much easier to nail!
congratulations kristen !!! huge achievement, i'm glad you recognized in the moment how proud you should be of yourself. also have not been back to chicago HAHA
Ahhhhh! I didn’t know I could be SO PROUD of someone I’ve never met! Just such an amazing accomplishment! Also I remember you saying you are from Plainfield and so is my husband! We met in downtown Chicago but he grew up there!
I loved this! I aspire to run the 50K lake saroma in Japan one day. Loved how pumped you were! Also really like the gold necklace you were wearing at the start. May I ask where its from?
I didn’t know I could cry so much for someone I never actually met 🥹 🎉 CONGRATULATIONS! You did that!!! Such a huge accomplishment! Hank crushed the content responsibilities too 😆
You are so inspiring so proud of you!!! I’m born and raised in New York please move here we would love to have you lol ❤❤❤❤ hard work definitely paid off !!!!
Congratulations!!! Thank you for being transparent about not being a “fast runner”. When you were training would you ever walk? I’m curious how it went during those long runs as you geared up for the marathon
@@coelidanella5862 thank you!!! I only had one long run where I walked - my 18 miler. It was so tough mentally and I was just tapped out. The rest of my long runs I ran entirely!
Literally on my walking pad you influenced me to get while I watch. The footage of you getting ready made me tear up. You did it!!!
UGHHHHH I already cried from Tik Tok I wasn't prepared to cry again, so happy for you!!!
