Most people don't realize, mods like this are not street legal. If you lose a wheel or the brake drums come loose over time and fail; and it causes a significant accident / fatality where an investigation is initiated. You might get charged with driving a non street legal vehicle on the road. Drivers license get suspended and you also might lose the vehicle. As a mechanic you may be liable & get sued
The washers are not guaranteed equal thickness. I’ve done the rear adjustment with the washers on my personal car. I had to sand down a few washer until I zeroed out my rear toe. Also you have to account for the factory toe being off to begin with. We had an issue with this particular Corolla, the left side needed more camber to clear the fenders than the right side.
@talhaHaHaHa I used The Specialty products easy shim I noticed they have no template for 03 to 08 but the corolla has the same exact rear frame as the prius I used the Prius template and life is good
I added some washers to the back of my Corolla and it really doesn’t make a difference. How did you add so much camber with the washers? I’m running 4 on all the bolts and there’s only a slight difference
They should be able to. The shop will only be able to touch the front alignment. I’m pretty sure most shops will not touch the rear alignment if you throw on washers, safety reasons.
I have a 2003 toyota corolla and this video helped me alot.
Finally a video that made sense on rear camber good looking bro

I know this video is old, but would it be better to just stack the camber shims? That seems like a safer version of this.
that’s perfect for what i’m trying to go for i just want at least -3° - -5° all around ty 😎
this works for my corolla 2005?
Nice I got 2010
I taught you were going to CAM THE COROLLA 🤣
All things being equal to begin with , why would adding the same thickness washers on the bottom bolts throw the toe out ? It’s fixed .

My toe is - .70 on the L rear
I wonder if 2 washers behind top and bottom hub bolts would get it bsck in
It could. Or you can try the plastic toe adjusting rings. Easier and safer way to dial in small toe offset
@mexicaneas10 yes I used ez shim set at +75 and my alignment came back all green on the sheet
@@johnmcminn9455 Glad you were able to dial it in 👍🏽
@@johnmcminn9455 bro how was your drive after? My car is wobbling from back and going sideways a bit I added 2 washers on both sides
@talhaHaHaHa I used The Specialty products easy shim

Would this work on my 03 Corolla?
It worked for me on the rear just have to get a different smaller size of washers.
I already got camber when lowering my 12 gen but this is interesting
Completely different suspension setup. But we work with what we’ve got.

Thata cuz u have em on all the bolts..
Love you
Why would you wanna chew up your pretty expensive tires?
Style points. To each their own.
does this work the same for disk brakes or only drums?
I have heard that it’s possible on the 11th gen corolla disc brakes. But not 100% sure. If you find out I would like to know as well
Update. I confirmed you can do it with the disc brakes in the rear.
if i do this can i just take it to an alignment shop after and they will do it?
They should be able to. The shop will only be able to touch the front alignment. I’m pretty sure most shops will not touch the rear alignment if you throw on washers, safety reasons.
@mexicaneas10 u cant really align the rear at all... solid swing arm... there is no adjustment... and if it's rly outa whack... its bent...
Would this work on my 2015 axio corolla ?
If it has the same drum setup, it should work. DO NOT DO THIS WITH DISC BRAKES.
Do you daily it
Daily it for 4 years
what does it do tho ?
Watch and listen to the video 👍🏽
what tires are those?
Nitto neogen.
Nitto
Extra toasty rice
Would you like some orange chicken with that? 🐔
Isn’t that dangerous
At your own risk
Yes.. very... and illegal... would I do it... yeah prolly...
🙏🏼👍🏼
Is it safe?
Is anything safe now-a-days?
@@mexicaneas10 😂 join the low life they said 😅
Thread and length specs for the extended bolts?
I don’t have that info, I had enough threads with the stock ones
