leisure activities and innovations of industry. Plastics improve our lives; bring us joy,
convenience, efficiency and connection to others.
Plastics, if managed effectively will sustainably offer more benefits than its costs. Most issues
arising out of the usage of plastics is due to the lack of supporting infrastructures to ensure an
effective waste management system is put in place, added with the lack of public/consumers’
awareness on proper plastic waste disposal, leading to its leakages into the environment.
