I'm working on a third AND fourth. The only Warmoths that suck are those assembled and set up by people who don't know what their doing. I'll never buy a factory production guitar ever again.
I built my first warmoth Strat last year and I can’t wait to do another one. It’s insane how great of a fender-style guitar you can build for right around $1100 .
Maybe even less if you were to forego certain add-ons and finishes. I recently built a primo tele that ran me around $2000 after paying a professional to assemble and set her up. Now I'm tempted to see how low I can go on my own and still have a great build.
@@SuicideVan definitely, custom-built is the way to go, not only is the guitar way cooler with better options but you get a lot more for the money regardless of how much you spend. Got a fat single piece flame maple warmoth Tele neck for my Mexican strat. Overhauled the electrics and it has transformed it into one of the best strats I've ever played. Love the Warmoth neck so much, easily as good as Fender.
If you have basic skills in wiring and setup, there is no way a Warmoth can’t be every bit as good as a custom shop Fender. If you know how to apply a finish, even better. Plus you have incredible range of choices of woods, neck profile, fret size, material, bridges, pickups, wiring scheme.
Of course, you couldn't help but throw some Absolomb in there ;) what an absolute beauty of a build, convinced me on a roasted maple neck on my old starter guitar to give it the lift it needs.
this comments going to read like a star wars text crawl, but I'm currently working on a warmoth tele build that will hopefully be a really good rock all-rounder. the body and neck are ready to go, same with most of the hardware, I'm still looking for a good set of 11/32 locking tuner as I'm using warmoth's vintage gibson scale conversion neck. I've got a duncan five two lipstick in the neck, which gives it a really full clean tone that sounds great, but I'm hung up on bridge options at the moment. I want something that can handle a lot of crunch. that to me generally means humbuckers, so I was initially thinking about the duncan little 59'. now I'm considering the possibility of adding a 4 way toggle with the 3rd and 4th position switching between both pickups in series and parallel, sort of emulating the function of a humbucker and opening up my options a bit. I'm hoping some of you more experienced tele tinkerers might be able to pitch me a good all-around rock tele single coil that will pair nicely with the five two, this custom will be my first ever telecaster so I've never worked with or heard many of their pickup options in the flesh.
Man, that neck is absolutely beautiful. I'm more of a Strat guy so I probably wouldn't ever buy a Tele but that sounds incredible. Cool to see you branching out into more styles as well!
I'm a 40 yr+ player and have 2 partscasters and they are both better than most Fenders I've owned or played. Maybe I got lucky but maybe not, I got to choose every component and I knew what I wanted. Remember, a Fender iss just a partscaster made with Fender made parts, other companies make good stuff too.
Bro this couldn't come at a more perfect time. Was thinking of breathing new life into my strat by ordering a neck from Warmoth! Goodbye vintage round radius and tiny frets 😂

Enjoyed the video and the music was nice but I have no idea what the guitar sounds like other than it’s a Telecaster clone. You can’t distinguish the tone or timbre of a guitar in a heavy mix with reverb, distortion etc. Could have been a MIM Squire for all I know, gorgeous guitar though! I have a couple Musikraft necks that are great too. I looked at Warmoth ready to buy necks but I didn’t want the 10-16 compound radius and that was all that was available.
Great video! I am an old school person when it comes to recording and production. I am getting back into the game again and learning about all these amp sims and other stuff. Years ago when I used to record and produce music, I always used external amps and mics etc. Now I am starting again from scratch and trying to be updated with technology. My question is this: HOW can I multitrack guitars/bass using amp plugins? With each track in my daw do I have to load the VST? For example lets say I have a 4 minute track with 4 tracks for rhythm guitar (2 left and right) and 2 tracks for layers and 2 tracks for guitar solo. That’s 8 tracks in my DAW only for guitars. Does that mean I need to run 8 instances of neural DSP plugins (or any other amp sim) in my DAW? It will eat my computer alive. So is there any way through which I can connect my guitar to my computer through an interface, the signal goes to the amp sim standalone VST and THEN it goes to the DAW? Is that possible?
Are you trying to record 8 players at once? If so then yes, you'd need 8 instances of the VST. If it's just you playing though, you only need one instance of the VST, as you can just record through for one layer, then go back and do the second, then third, etc. The beauty of digital is you can do as many takes as you want, you're not limited to punching into tape on an old 2track or anything anymore.
