  • Thank you all for checking out my video. I greatly appreciate you.
A little more context behind this video, I have a coworker who used to rockhound, but due to downsizing, he needed to sell his collection. He had a lot of really neat things he has collected over the last several year and one of those things was about 5 buckets worth of sapphire paydirt and a small jar of rough sapphires he had previously sifted.
My wife and I have barely scratched the surface of the paydirt but have already found some beauties. As far as I understand, the next step in the process is to send them to get heat treated and then facet them into gemstones.
Being very new to youtube and sapphires, if you all have any insight, I am open to learning as much as possible. Please like and subscribe to help more people reach my channel.

Kinda yeah. I bought his whole rock collection and in that collection was 5 buckets worth of unprocessed pay dirt. As well as that second jar of sapphires he found from his own paydirt.

Sweet I'm going to half to try that. But the light blue sapphires I wouldn't heat treat them at all I would just have them faceted and Polished they'll be way more valuable later on they look like aquamarines anyways.

Thank you for your insight on the blue ones. I still have a ways to learn on all of this stuff. Once I learn how to facet I'll try one of those out!
