For those facing divorce watching this...we've done counseling, tried therapists, pastors and jesus for myself although he professed Christianity. Our church even sent us to a Family Life conference which by the way was life changing for myself, but felt like i was there alone. Jackie spoke about marriage being the hardest thing you will ever do, leaning into your marriage..i say evaluate what exactly you're leaning into, as ladies how are you being led...because you're always being led as married women despite what you may think...if you arent being able to lean into safety and protection, and sin is more rampant than your spouse seeking the Father...your marriage may not be purposeful or designed for you to even be in...dont feel guilty. Surrender to God, he will disciple yourself and your family in His time, he will give you direction and discernment to make hard decisions to glorify your life and his name. Praying for all of us struggling and trapped in marriages that are painful.
@t.p.5034 because you need to pray a different prayer or pay attention to what he reveals for you. Sometimes God has already answered us, we just ignore his voice or can't receive it clearly because of our own sin in the way.
I’m currently divorced but I was married and in ministry for 10 years and everything both couples spoke on was what my marriage was like for 10 years. We didn’t have a couple discipling us as a married couple. And I always felt like the ministry and his family came before me. I became so bitter and resentful until I stopped praying for my spouse. I’m not sure if I will ever be married to a man again, but praying and seeking discipleship in my personal life no matter what package it comes in is something I want to pursue.
I recognise that marriages all over are tested the most in the first few years. What you both expressed happening in your individual marriages, is very similar over here. The devil is an old dog with the same old tricks. May God help and keep us.
I appreciate men willing and able to disciple other men. As soon as my pastor heard there was a guy I was interested in, he reached out and started discipling him. It was a blessing for our relationship and has been a blessing for our marriage.
I'm really learning to stop pray and wait for wisdom in moments of big emotions .. its hard but it always pays off when I listen.God always steps in when we lack ( and ask for ) wisdom .
💯Yes! High emotion can make it more challenging to walk in step with the Holy Spirit--yet Jesus managed to do it. Love praying James 1:5 for these moments.
I loved hearing about the need for discipleship and being open to the unconventional ways that God will bring that about. I really loved the idea that having a partner that challenges your faith (in a good way) can and should continuously keep you on your face before the Lord. Great conversation
The state of my marriage definitely reveals the state of my walk with God. Both are not great right now and I'm consciously aware of it and going to the Lord more often for help. I also am asking God for discipleship.

I don't hear Titus and 1 Timothy Scriptures preached much these days regarding a man having his house in order before trying to lead the church. This interview was refreshing and encouraging. Grateful for all that was shared. Grace and peace.
What a powerful interview with the Perry’s. I’ve been married for 35 years and just gleaned so much. Thank you, Dear Lord. Help me to put it into practice in my marriage. 😔
I'm over 40 and still single. I really enjoyed this conversation. I do want to get married one day. I have a lot of work to do. In listening to this, I see that I really need to put God first(in all things). I surely don't want to fake ministry.
Wow! I Just sent this to my husband. We have been married 25 years on the 16th of October. This is great insight and of course Jackie and Preston they are one of my favorites. I loved that both you and your husband are so open. We need to join together and help each other any way we can. Thank you for doing this.
Vladimir Savchuk said in Build Fire, this about his marriage: “My wife and I made a conscious decision that our marriage will always be a top priority, and our ministry will flow out of our marriage. Our marriage will not get the leftovers after ministry.” I think this is profound, and an approach we should all follow.
I sent this to my husband. I loved the truth in this talk, keeping Christ at the center and love each other through that. Thank you for the honesty and integrity of this podcast!
You have no idea how graceful I am to hear the very thoughts that are in my head concerning my own marriage of 50 years. I have subscribed and I will follow as we have no one to disciple us.

Oh, this refreshed and blessed me. I love you all. I love the air of mutual, unforced respect. It's truly a beautiful thing for brethren to dwell together in unity. See how Christ unites. Look at his uniting power! People across generational gaps, people from different cultural backgrounds wholistically united under the banner of our Savior's love. Heaven will be beautiful.
Thanks so much for this interview with the Perrys. These two young people are two of my favorite teachers of life. I’m a grandmother and I have learned so much from them. Preston and Jackie are so honestly refreshing, what you see is what you get. Nothing foney. They are my grandchildren from another life. (smiles). God bless you ALL.
Thank you for this deep conversation. I’m a seasoned single and I feel like this spoke to me in so many ways: about the loving kindness and steadfastness of Jesus, how he longs for us to come to him for everything and how critical prayer is to a true life in Christ- married or single.
This encouraged me so much. Thank you! It was a great reminder that as I am in my dating season and we’re walking towards marriage… I mustn’t get carried away subconsciously thinking that my partner can become my saviour (as God has brought him as a gift to me after years of waiting), but I must FIGHT to keep remaining rooted and connected to the vine as my constant priority!

That was a great interview, I’m also praying for the Perrys. The attacks are so great because they have such a great mantle. May God get the glory in every aspect and from everything they touch.

However, I have been praying for a while that the Lord would help me be the woman of GOD He would have me be, including not being selfish or non-submissive. I’m a 49 year old lady who believes I’ll have a spouse. I’ve been just me for so long, I need the Lord to help me be open to receiving another person into my life! This is my first family life video and wow was it incredible. So many gems spoken by both couples. I really took to heart the comment made about faking ministry. The table with Jesus is always set, He loves spending time with us so there’s really no excuse not to have a genuine relationship with Him.
9:47 this is the answer to my question I’ve been looking for. God is faithful and always on time. I now know that the works I do in faith is to be asked by God first, for wisdom. Thank you 🙏🏾
This was a fantastic podcast and so on time because God is calling the father of my daughter and I to get married and I was just saying to myself this morning that I was going to depend upon Jesus entirely for this relationship. My yes to this marriage is a complete reflection of my faith in God because I know I can’t do it and wouldn’t have done it had He not said to do it and with the knowledge that He is faithful and will always be there for us. This podcast encouraged me to keep moving forward and have hope in the goodness, power, and faithfulness of God!!
The most amazing commentary on marriage I have ever heard. I am one of the broken who was married to a pastor for 47 years and it blew up for the exact reasons you said. Not unfaithful ness. But exactly as you said. Jesus was not first. The church was. I was crucified because he had not been unfaithful. God showed me that Israel was not all sleeping around. The word He uses means “other gods” not just sleeping around. Thank you. Thank you for the broadcast and for your faithfulness.

Pray for all those in the episode and the watchers that we all stay strong in the faith. Amen 🙏🏾

This interview was powerful... I watched (RUclips) the Perry's podcast, and to see them in the interview seat was great! I agree with Jackie... in God's kindness He gave me my husband, so I stay on my face! Total reliance on the King! ❤❣️
I am always so moved by the honesty of Preston and Jackie. Although I am 63 year old divorcee, this teaching I can still apply where my children are concerned. I wish I watched this when I was still married, but one never know with God. I had to learn the hard way, to say less and pray more for my grown up children. The devil is liar! Thank you for this interview.
❤blessing to hear from other marriages with honesty, open doors and heart. Married 7 years and still taking baby steps. Respect all that was shared. Praying for this wisdom over our marriage.
This conversation was a great display of how it looks when you lean into Him individually. Your personal walk with The Lord comes through in your walk with others. Thank you for the blessings of this conversation.
Love this.. I feel like my husband and I battle so many of these things. God has really been using this couple to speak into my heart on such a deep level, as well as a former Pastor named Mark DeJesus. He does a lot of podcasts/videos on mental emotional and relationship health. I think a big problem we all face is portraying that image of our own traumas and broken families and parents onto God and expecting Him to be the same towards us..
That was so good! So honest so transparent… This is fighting with the world says when they call Christians hypocrites… This was a podcast that showed the foundation of Christ and how it works on a believer heart

This is my first family life video and wow was it incredible. So many gems spoken by both couples. I really took to heart the comment made about faking ministry. The table with Jesus is always set, He loves spending time with us so there’s really no excuse not to have a genuine relationship with Him.
So glad you loved it like we did!
The state of your marriage reflects the state of your walk....what a gem. Thank you. Im going to do some homework now.
Loved that line!
9:47 this is the answer to my question I’ve been looking for. God is faithful and always on time. I now know that the works I do in faith is to be asked by God first, for wisdom. Thank you 🙏🏾
💯Yes. Love James 1:5 for this.
The voice of God is pure love. I pray for you Jackie and Preston.. I pray God shields you from the arrows that fly by day and night..
As a new wife that just finished year 1 of marriage this resonates with me. I love the Perry’s their insights continue to bless me!
That was an awesome discussion on discipleship and marriage
This episode blessed my husband & I!!!! We are newlyweds. Thank you for your YES!
This couple truly embodies what it means to put God first. Thank you for a wonderful, inspiring discussion.
So powerful! I love the authenticity from everyone.
Totally a strength of theirs!
Amazing podcast session. Loved it. I'm not married but love how Jackie and Preston talk about true Gospel. Loved it. Thank you. God bless. 🙏🏼💝
So glad you liked it!
@JudiHines-w6t, grieving this loss with you. So painful...! Thanks so much for your vulnerability here.
So you left him after 47 years. What a shame.
You don't know their story. You don't know all of the details. Insensitivity is not welcomed on this page at all.
@@best5345 .
@@HereComesTheSonASL kick me from the page plz. I am not here to pamper anyone. Excessive pampering has let the Church in the current state. Don't try to police my language, it won't work.
Love the Perry’s 🤎
Praying for their marriage as well as all my brothers & sisters in Christ.
This was so helpful. Praise Jesus.
Love the Perry’s!! I’m also praying the Lord will continue to shield them from the attacks of the evil one 🙏
Thank uou for being you Jackie and Perry and sharing Jesus as the center.
Thank you! I am so touched by hearing couples in ministry speak honestly. We need to hear the truth.❤
Agreed! Love their authenticity.
I love the Perry's, I been following them since P4CM . I love watching their growth
This was awesome! Pray for me as I learned to wait on my husband being burned out with Church.
Praying for you right now.
Love Love Love the Perry's, like the host I too have been praying for them throughout the years. For their union, ministry, their minds and commitment to Christ. I pray God continues to provide and cover them.
@TheMichelleRena, praying that with you right now. So grateful for this couple's powerful, far-reaching ministry! Keep your eyes peeled--and please consider subscribing--from other clips from our time with the Perrys! We've got another episode scheduled to roll out on October 19.
This blessed me!! The vulnerability, sanctification, conflict styles, importance of prayer, and the absolute dependence on God conversations were sooo good!!
May God bless and keep you both!!❤️
So glad you liked it. The Perrys' vulnerability and ability to shoot people straight is such a gift... We'll be having another episode on this channel on the 19th--so think about subscribing. Such a powerful couple.
Love this episode so much. I’m not married but I find it interesting to learn about these things before that time. And what Preston said about the only thing that prepares you for marriage is marriage really resonates with me. Pray for all those in the episode and the watchers that we all stay strong in the faith. Amen 🙏🏾
Very uplifting conversation , glory to God for couples who strive to live godly during such perilous times.
💯
God very literally used all of you to answer my prayers about my marriage. This was beautiful and humbling and I praise the Lord for all of your faithfulness. Thank you. Sincerely thank you.
Love hearing this--and praising God with you. If you're interested, consider subscribing; our next episode from the Perrys is scheduled to hit October 19!
Awesome blessed me so much...correcting me without asking me what i am scared of.
This interview was powerful... I watched (RUclips) the Perry's podcast, and to see them in the interview seat was great! I agree with Jackie... in God's kindness He gave me my husband, so I stay on my face! Total reliance on the King! ❤❣️
Love the convo, the power of prayer so so so powerful and important. Do it 1st
Feeling so much compassion for your pain--yet grateful that you want to invest these truths in another generation.
I loved it. I love you guys pointing out how people can do ministry in our face but how is their home life. I appreciate honestly. Great job
❤blessing to hear from other marriages with honesty, open doors and heart. Married 7 years and still taking baby steps. Respect all that was shared. Praying for this wisdom over our marriage.
Cheering you on in your marriage!
Great conversation! Thank you for covering them in prayer!
What a wonderful interview. Dave, Anne, Preston & Jackie you are such an inspiration. Thank you, may God bless and protect you in Jesus’s name.
This conversation was a great display of how it looks when you lean into Him individually. Your personal walk with The Lord comes through in your walk with others. Thank you for the blessings of this conversation.
So glad it was so meaningful!
Beautiful interview. . . It is such a blessing to see the Perry’s transparency and growth.
I needed to hear every word of this! Each one of you encouraged my heart.
That was so good! So honest so transparent… This is fighting with the world says when they call Christians hypocrites… This was a podcast that showed the foundation of Christ and how it works on a believer heart
I truly love how open and honest you all are. May God continue to keep you.
@jadimplesmax665, couldn't agree more. Keep your eyes peeled--and please consider subscribing--from other clips from our time with the Perrys! We've got another episode scheduled to roll out on October 19.
Thank you for the openness “REAL TALK” & honesty bcuz many leaders’ homes are broken (broken relationships) yet in public they fake like all is well 😢 being real & open brings healing in the relationship. How can you help ppl heal when you’re broken? I really like the mum that drew the picture for her son to show how they were loved it❤. Mega blessings to each couple you are a blessing in God’s Kingdom & bringing healing to hurting ppl. Again thank you 🙏🏽
The Perrys' authenticity is so refreshing!
