Having moved from LA to Phoenix last year, I can confirm that it is awesome! It's beautiful here, and mostly a dry heat which is an absolute TREAT compared to humid heat (e.g. TX or LA). Beautiful spring/fall and chilly in winters. Totally worth it.
I live in the PHX area (moved from FL) and I much rather prefer the dry heat here. It's hot, yes. And this time of year we just stay inside, swim, or take day trips into the mountains - but half the year the weather is absolutely perfect and we spend a ton of time outside, hiking, camping, etc.
My mom's side of the family is Norwegian and my dad's side is Finnish, and I felt a fight brewing when you credited Norway with hot saunas instead of Finland lol Sauna is literally a Finnish word! The only one that is in the cultural lexicon. If you want the hottest saunas, you need Finland.
As someone who has lived in Phoenix almost their entire life I'll tell you straight up: there is nothing worth doing here that you can't do at any other major city. The city is so metropolitan that you can't even really enjoy what limited nature you have access to.

Arizona native. I live in Tucson... 2 hours from Phoenix. You survive the heat in the summer by staying inside. Outdoor activities are for October through April. Phoenix has a ton of things to do. Almost anything you can think of. Upside? We don't shovel snow here. Ever. 😂

Most fun thing to do in Phoenix - leave Phoenix. It hit 135 degrees on the pavement when I lived there, and at midnight when I went on lunch, it was STILL 105....dry heat or not, its miserable.
The crazy thing, here on the east coast it gets that hot too (now, because of climate change… when I was younger it never did). But it’s extremely humid here as well. The last few summers it has gone over 110 here in Philadelphia, and it will be 95 at 2 in the morning. I can’t stand it 😑
I am from a land that doesn't exist, but we have the largest number of saunas per capita in the world easily. And Rhett saying he is a 195-200 degrees (fahrenheit) is actually commendable. That is 90-63 degrees celsius and that is no playin'. Consider me impressed.
I live in the Phoenix metro area and it's miserable. It's a massive heat island with all of the concrete and asphalt just soaking it up during the day. Everything around you will just radiate heat after dark, so it will be 11pm and still 100 degrees.

Ironically enough living here we hoard sweaters and hoodies because buildings are so damn cold all the time from constant ac running.
Well summer for Phoenix is more like how cold states do winter. The zoo has sections you can visit fine especially if you go early enough, you know passive cooling. Can't visit every section comfortably though in the summer
Vegas over arizona anyday vegas has lots of things for both adults and kids. Tourists just love walking the strip like zombies all the time which i never understand because theres tons to do besides that

30 years in phoenix and yes it is very hot. And you get used to it but you really dont get used to it. Its also illegal to turn down a person showing up at your house asking for water.
Im in phx Arizona, Our AC busted and we had to buy a new window AC just to help. I have a tiny apartment so it helps. But the bigger one is better. But if your AC bust in Arizona the owner of the apartments is supposed to put you in a hotel till they fix your AC. Our apartment is getting new owners so were in a no AC limbo.

It even gets snow in Vegas, sometimes, or you can go & hangout at the beautiful snow ski resort or go to Lake Mead & go water skiing. There are a ton of things to do in Vegas!
I'm in Pheonix and we recently had a propane explosion from a mixture of over packing and the heat. We hit the record for 120° that day. As cool as it would be to run into yall here, I would not want you to suffer 😂. I personally would rather Vegas, because no where beats this heat.

Yeah, that was so funny when Rhett said 100F. Only 100F!! Thats nothing. 😄When I go sauna it is about 170F 15 min two times in a week. 🤣😁
