So Geoff was smoking back then???? and he could sing like that ?? LOLOLLL. I think he stop tought cause i heard him sing Take Hold The Flame live and he could hold the note. He sound really good.
Sad to see how jaded the members of Queensryche seemed while being involved and interviewed in this video (though it's understandable). Operation: Mindcrime is a masterpiece and was as ahead of its time then as was 1984 by George Orwell or Inception by Christopher Nolan in their respective times. Seemed like the video production crew were more 'this is hot, let's do something cool and make money' while the band were more like 'I'm numb and exhausted and overwhelmed because we've just created a masterpiece and most of these people don't fully get it'. I bought the album as a teenager, saw the tour, and bought the super delux box set back in the day and still regard it as an underrated treasure (when I'm not listening to Tool). O:M is in my all-time top 5. ❤
Except Maiden were formed in 1975. Queensryche did not exist until 1980. And by the time Queensryche released their first, self-titled EP (not even a full album) and were still not known outside of Washington, Maiden were already on album number three - Number of the Beast - and touring the world with it. Think you need to revise your rock history. Not everything American is first, even though Operation:Mindcrime is an incredible album. Oh, and Maiden have their very own and very unique sound - no one could accuse them of sounding like any of Queensryche's very varied album output, any more than you could say the 'Ryche copied Maiden's sound.
even iron maiden members were shocked at mindcrime and decided to make their 7th album to semi concept album but definitely queensryche wins in terms of concept for me even im big maiden fan😊
Albums just don't get any better than this. It's an absolute masterpiece.
This is a classic, one of the very few concept albums worth listening to.
Not a single substandard track on it, all top notch.
Love this! What a record. Still in my top five of all time.
one of the best fucking band in the history
Is 2023 and i am still waiting for Mincrime as a movie or a mini series. Is relevant, today more than ever before.

This album has age extremely well. It is such an amazing album. The best concept album ever recorded as far as I'm concern....
It was a heady cocktail of !984, The Wall and Hemispheres.
Amazing!😍
Simplesmente perfeito ❤ Queensryche ❤Geoff Tate
If I had to pick one album from the 1000`s I`ve heard, Operation: Mindcrime would be it.
Theeee greatest theme album of all time
Masterpiece
Perfect❤
love you queensryche from Ukhrul
My favourite album of all time, not the same without Geoff and Chris or Scott.
The american iron maiden that iron maiden ended up copying. Big fan of both!

@@ronniecutler2068 Yeah I agree, No prayer for the dying and Fear of the dark are lyrically inspired by Queensryche.
