Keep making the stroller videos from the dogs perspective they’re awesome. You should do all of LA and make it a series.

The best road view RUclipsr I've ever seen - the quality is great, the filming is very realistic and shows the city in detail. The best. Fighting! Subscribe.

I googled MacArthur Park. I know Texas, New York and a few other places have similar park names. From my understanding, this McArthur Park you're show casing in LA was the inspiration for Donna Summers hit song in 77'. I believe the song was co-written by a gay man. Previous decades 50's, 60's. LA's McArthur Park was known as a anonymous gay cruise spot.

There is a Wikipedia page for the song, and funny enough, it was written by a gentleman that was working in a nearby Office Building, in the 60s when Wilshire Boulevard was a hub of the insurance industry. Neat history. Thanks for referencing it.

It's good to see the whole park. However, it's sad to see how badly it looks. Not just all the drug addicts and mentally ill, but the trash abd graffiti everywhere.
Yes, the park had its problems in the 80s, but nothing compared to this. This is the absolute worst I've seen it since the 80s when I used to visit this area often. In fact, during the day, the whole park was basically in the condition of what you would call the good part now. Some graffiti and trash, but no mentally ill or open drug use and zombies. It was only at night it got very sketchy.
I was in architecture school in the 80s and would shop at HG Daniels on 7th Street for art supplies. Just up the street from this park. I would sometimes sit on a bench and sketch. Remember getting a burger at Casey's, too.
There is a beautiful building northwest and across the street from the northern side of the park. You can see it in your video. I always thought it looked like a Masonic Temple. I forget the name of the building. It's been in a number of movies, too.
Lastly, the other thing that didn't exist in the 80s was the overwhelming number of street vendors blocking the sidewalks for blocks. These vendors only add to the terrible look of the park and surrounding streets. Eunisses Hernandez isn't doing shit about any of this either. Instead she wants a report on reuniting both halves of the park. That's fine, but the priority for the community is to clean up the park. Fence it off the way they did with Echo Park and restore the park and lake. Repair the walking paths, picnic areas, fix the lights, paint and remove graffiti, and plant new grass. Close it for several months to do the work. It worked very well in Echo Park. The community there now is enjoying the park and lake. MacArthur Park and the surrounding community deserve no less.

Why doesn’t the city hire people to go in that park and clean it up daily?

In the years I've been going there i have always seen staff sort of saunter around doing trash maintenance. Seems like as of lately they have really sort of given up.

@@mediaxpuppet well and that’s the problem. People need to hustle and be more excited to preserve beauty but then again I can imagine how frustrating it would be when you can clearly see the demographic in that park.
