I can’t stand it ! 😂😂😂😂 I just watched you clean all of downtown Los Angeles and now I’m watching this …I became a giant fan at : 23:01 “ imagine being a notary, and having your office up there” wow you get Los Angeles good for you 👏👏👏👏👏 we are two older gay men who are also 3 generation native Angelinos so we are both major Los Angeles historians by default. I love your show … please remember you look very Los Angeles so you will fit in everywhere in Los Angeles never second guess that. I love your soft ball promo of our great city … I enjoy your commentary. You made me almost cry as you picked up trash in downtown Los Angeles. ❤ What a sweet and wonderful person you are. Thank You🫡 The secret to Los Angeles the City of the Angels is if you’re nice and sweet and kind to Los Angeles it will be sweet and kind to you. The more you love Los Angeles the more Los Angeles loves you. If you dislike Los Angeles and call it by its initials and say things like “in LA” or if you say “ you know what I hate about LA “ after saying that the city of Los Angeles will go out of its way to make sure you have a hatful day everyday until you move and go away. You love Los Angeles and Los Angeles loves you back. ❤ Keep Up the Great Work!
Hung around this area a ton in the 1980s and 90s. BTW, seems some of those wide sidewalks in WeHo are relatively new. I also noticed them around Fairfax HS. LA needs wider sidewalks in general.
Really enjoyed that walk thanks for that. I guess I'm one of those crazies because I love Los Angeles. I don't live there. I've lived in South Florida for over 40 years. Originally from New York area. But I lived in Southern California when I was a kid before you were born and I hadn't been back in years, but went back to Los Angeles for a vacation four years ago, as well as San Francisco. I realize a vacation is not living there, but I was never happier. Los Angeles and its history just does it for me. If I had the money, I would move back there tomorrow. I just love it, problems and all. There's something in the air there that I find nowhere else. It feels like home.
Looks like that closed in 2011. If you go on Google maps and look at 8585 Melrose and look at the year 2011, it's there. 13:10 is where I am obliviously walking past the former site.
The "Bodhi Tree" was certainly very popular "metaphysical Book Store" for many years, attracting people from all walks of life and also mentioned in movies, television talks, on the radio and so forth. It is indeed hard to believe the Store is no longer there.@@mediaxpuppet
Worked on Melrose for years in the 90s. I have zero desire to bust now. Same goes for sunset. It all changed after American Idol. And reality TV.
Once again a great video. Not everyone knows about the history of Shermam. I love how you show maps in your videos too. 👍

I can't even muster the words of appreciation for your words of testimonial. Heartfelt thank you, and glad you enjoyed the adventure.
Great video! 35:49 - If you had the money, where would you live?
I would probably say the hills around echo park and silverlake. They're sort of like a low key Hollywood hills houses.
I'm longing to move there! Very very interesting walking. Lovely dogs 😊

Best record store in L.A. Jean Luc (John) is the best!
💯
Is the "Bodhi Tree" still in the area?
