- How to fix low FPS while gaming on laptop or PC.
Low FPS on Windows 10 or Windows 11? This is the easiest and best way to fix the problem / issue. If you suffer from FPS Stutters or Frame Drops this fix for FPS while gaming is for you.

IMPORTANT: Before you do this go to create a restore point and put sys protection for both your drives and then do the gamedvr edit
why?
@@tomposta2557doing anything with regedit is dangerous as there are important system files in there. It's safer to create a restore point incase anything goes wrong
There is no reason. However changing registries can be breaking changes if you do the wrong thing. That being said. Doing this exact thing will cause no issues ever.

Judging from the comments section I just done a quick 5 second google search and the first thing I found was by searching if it’s safe to edit the regedit settings on pc and it said it could cause serious errors on your computer so yeah I agree with the comment section do not do it if you want your pc with serious errors go ahead 👍
when i change the number of gamedvrenabled to 0 then reset my pc it just go back to 1 again
Another thing you can disable is xbox game bar or xbox live which is also a recording program like game dvr which can increase performance if you disable all of them
i just uninstalled xbox and the FPS drop is gone ahhaha . thanks

Bought my laptop 5 days ago. 16gb ram, i9, rtx 4070. Fps goes from 120 to 50 or 40 every 10 seconds, just for a split of a second. Any ideas why this happens ?
Same but with a 3080 laptop, I thought it might be a cooling problem but I would put it on cooler boost and than continue to drop every 5 to 10 seconds. If you figure it out give me a message, I’d appreciate it

doesnt work my computer is an ryzen 7 2700x 32gb ddr 4 and have a rx 6700 xt card and im experiencing huge fps drops ive googled it tried useless videos like this one and still the same. games have become unplayable even old games my card has been tested in another computer and it works fine so if anyone has a similer issue or can help me resolve it that would be great oh and im windows 10 i really dont think its a hardware issue has to be software related.

@@Gamerx123 sort of I formatted my computer and installed windows 11 instead and so far so good formatting isn't what I wanted to do but my games were unplayable so i didn't have a choice. Hope you sort it as I know how frustrating it is.

2. USE WINDOWS 10 LTSC INSTEAD OF BULLSHIT11

4. STOP OPENING 69 APPS WHILE GAMING

what you said makes you extremely unintelligent. my laptop is really beefy and should run any game without issues. However every couple minutes my frames drop horribly across all games and i have no fucking clue how to fix it
