hear me out: for years they have spoiled everything in their trailers, literally showing the full roster in their trailers. I feel like they're doing these very cryptic trailers means they won't be showing us the whole thing before the game drops. Also I hope the auto dodge is a mistranslation because you don't want auto dodge in a MH game
I would like if they at least showed another locale since I’m becoming irrationally paranoid that for some reason they’re releasing this game in dlc chunks or the game is just big Savannah desert I have no idea why I think this, but I am getting nervous
@@itsturniptime3699they said there will be multiple locales. This one is just the windward plains The continent is called the “forbidden lands” so im curious what kind of fantasy theyre trying to fulfill
Maybe now that monster hunter is a household name they don’t feel like they have as much to prove. I hated that the entire rise and Sunbreak roster was revealed by trailers alone, it made the games so much less exciting to play through. I am by no means saying to blindly trust the monster hunter team here but they have never disappointed me (with the exception of base rise) with a new main series release. If you think it’s important than just wait for reviews and decide after the game comes out. Boarding the hype train hurts everyone.
what made it a little bit lackluster for me was the rest of the conference before, but the hype never went down. I think they gave us exactly what we wanted: - a bit of story and a new monster - Herd turf wars/mecannics and mounted movement - Crossplay - Crossplay. It also feels like the two trailers would work better as a single piece, but they didn't want to show too much at the same time
yeah, sony definitely wanted some piece of that Monster Hunter hype and asked them to give them something. I am pretty sure both of those trailers were one big trailer from the start
*sit down as an old Moga hunter looking at the horizon from the chamber* Where are you Lagiacrus, we didn't see you since ages. What you doing...Buddy ?..
@@ArcVTuber Sometime, hope is what make us go forward young one. And as a hunter, sometime it can be precious on the most dangerous time. On that, time to go hunt, the food don't pay itself ! Ahahah *disappear in distance*
I think the autododge on the mount is fine, since it will make traversal across the world much more convenient, I doubt you can just hop on while in the middle of combat and automatically dodge everything. I think it's specifically useful for moments where you just wanna avoid everything on your way to a hunt. Plus I think it just makes sense cause your "ride" is a living creature, obviously it won't wait for your command if danger is going to hit him.
Hmmm...I see your point but it just doesn't sit right with me. I don't want the mount to move without me wanting it to. But hopefully then can make it optional so everyone enjoys it in their own way.
I definitely agree on the Seikret (Saikret? I can never remember) auto dodge, which I hope it isn't. And I LOVE THE VOICED PALICO I can't wait to hear what my little fella says. Lastly, I'm so glad we are getting crossplay, because my friend wanted to get Mh Wilds for PS5 as he wants more games for it, so I was worried that might not work out. Since you haven't made an update video regarding Wilds since this, I hope that the info that came out afterward from the demo and interviews assuaged your concerns regarding the auto dodge and mounted hunting. Sounds like the dodge is just for traversal, and you can't do any major fighting on the mount.
Here’s the thing I’m wondering because I’ve noticed a common theme with a few of these monsters being in packs, I wonder if the mount combat will make the flow of taking on more than one monster at at time in hunts better. I say this because even if you are an acrobatic with the insect Glave or a mega sweat that’s always good at blocking and dodge, being on foot and combating multiple aggressive monsters of the same species will only get you so far. Battling one monster is a handful at times, let alone a heard of them. Mount combat I understand how some or even many people can see this as a step back from world, especially with possible auto dodge which I hope can be toggled as well, but I honestly think Capcom is sticking a balance between world’s grounded realism and steady hand at mastery of the intense and precise ground, while also throwing in high octane action and mount combat capabilities like in Rise. If done right the game will be a mega hit, even to those that are doubtful, because it will be how you choose to play the game and not so much about how the game chooses it for you. Can’t really be too mad or disappointed at that to me. But just my theory, that’s just the vibe I’ve been getting since the debut trailer.
Hi. Japanese here. Unfortunately the auto dodge part is not mistranslation. However I think they know better than anyone that dodging is an important element in MH series so I personally am not worried about it that much. I think it’s for maneuverability. When sandstorms happen or a pack of monsters approach, you don’t wanna be attacked and stop every time it hits it would just annoy players. Also there’s no way Seikred can auto dodge any attacks. It’ll drop off a hunter once it gets a big attack is what I am hoping.
I think they shpuld have released the trailers in reverse order, but honestly, I am just so darn hyped! Ngl, I'm surprised Ruri mentioned how attractive the female hunter is, but you didn't comment on it at all lol
Tbh I think it was still very good, we got a lot of info not only in trailer form. Crossplay is confirmed, we got a release date for the demo, and they showed the leviathan skeleton back in action (which implies the existence of Lagiacrus) Also a pretty varied monster roster compared to other MH games, as well as much more focus on story or worldbuilding. There’s a lot more questions to answer of course, but we don’t want them spoiling the whole game in the first two trailers. Granted that focus mode wasn’t touched on, but that might be because it’s not a big deal and just helps you track monsters like the dark souls lock on. I like it a lot, and I’m very excited to see more of it. New locales especially. Given how their website said every locale will have two weather based variants, it paints the picture of a more living world. That combined with the more interactive monsters will tie up into a very good monster hunter game. In my opinion their approach to revealing info on the game is very good and helps build excitement. Just the right amount of info to not spoil too much, but enough to keep us interested.
00:30 well I think the first trailer hade more info because it was the first one. The second one didn't have much NEW info the first one didn't have, so I think that's why it feels a bit lacklustre
