- BMW has introduced the 2025 M2, an upgraded version of its compact coupe that comes with several exciting enhancements. The most notable update is a 20-horsepower increase, bringing the total to 473 horsepower. This boost puts the M2 on par with its larger siblings, the manual M3 and M4. However, the new all-silver wheels have garnered much attention among enthusiasts.
For years, car owners have had to choose between black, gray, and diamond-cut wheel designs. The 2025 M2 breaks away from this norm, offering an all-silver alloy option that adds a fresh, stylish look to the vehicle. These wheels are the same as those available for the recently updated M3 and M4, adding a touch of consistency across BMW's performance lineup.
The 2025 M2 retains the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine used across many of BMW's M models. Despite the increase in horsepower, the torque figures remain unchanged. The six-speed manual model delivers 406 pound-feet of torque, while the eight-speed automatic version produces 443 pound-feet. BMW has also refined the throttle mapping for quicker response times. These improvements help the M2 shave 0.1 seconds off its 0-60 miles per hour times, achieving 4.1 seconds for the manual and 3.9 seconds for the automatic.
While the bodywork of the new M2 remains unchanged, BMW has expanded the color palette for 2025. Additionally, the badging and exhaust tips are now black, adding a sleek touch to the exterior. Inside the cabin, drivers will find the latest iDrive 8.5 infotainment system, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, and optional red accents for the standard sport seats. The carbon bucket seats, previously part of the expensive Carbon Fiber package, are now available as a standalone option.
Production of the 2025 M2 is set to begin in August, with a base price increase from $64,195 to $66,075. While the price hike reflects the new features and enhancements, the M2 remains a competitive option, especially when compared to the 2025 M3, which costs $11,100 more.

the design has definitely grown on me ever since it came out.
but the previous m2 is still peak modern bmw design.
This is an amaIng car...retro and aggressive.
Like it needs 20 more BHP the 2024 is a seriously fast road car almost too fast for UK roads in reality anyone that says otherwise has never driven one
I think they're just being honest about how much hp the g87 actually has now.
Will this be a better buy over the larger sibling M4?
Love this color
Topcar❤
I love this car 🩷
I’m all in if BMW introduces a CS version with at least the same hp (>500 hp) as the M3, with a weight reduction of at least 100 plus pounds! That would be epic! BMW, are you reading this?
There is a CS version on the way, I’m on the waiting list at a local dealer. They said late 2025 or early 2026 delivery. No confirmation on specs though
@@its_nickv appreciate the intel! I’ll make sure I get on the list w/my local dealer when my wife’s ‘24 X1 M35i is due to arrive sometime this month…
new~? it just came out lol
It NEEDS X-Drive then it'll be a pocket little rocket.👊👊👊👊💪💪💪💪
Yes! Really they need it
Yes!
No, learn to drive, feel the power, and feed it in and enjoy.
It's called connecting with the way the car drives
@@odinikita4821 For what?
I already had rwd in my younger days, S14 Nissan
86 Toyota
Now I want M S58 with XDrive daily to beat most cars in traffic 💨
@@odinikita4821 It's basically a Turbo S for 1/3 the $
Better off saving $10k+ and getting a deal on a 2024 model. The upgrades are minimal at best
what a log m2…..
the 2018 one looks so much better
the wheels.... :/
still dont like that bumpers
Way better than before
Which ones?🤣
You can't afford lol
hideous
@@akwasiobeng2565😂
Design are good but far from classic
The stance is epic! Wish it had AWD..

@@Rumblingbelly rwd is more fun
@@TehNiCoLaS but in cold snowy winters you need AWD

Still made in Mexico
I had my doubts too but since owning it, It’s the best built car I’ve owned and that includes cars built in Germany.
I have a Mexican built M340i and so far, it's top shelf on build quality.

No matter how many times I look at this G87, it is still ugly as fuck!
I rarely see one (MY23/24) on the street. I think I see more GT3 RS than this PoS😂.
God it looks awful with the silver wheels
Like a base model 😄
DId they take away 350KG? Otherwise it's as sporty as a Range Rover.
BS, it drives fantastic
@@karolmaciejewski340 Sure at 1700, like a Range Rover. Try it at 1300Kg then we talk. It's a car to go to coffee shops not to go on track. What are these people doing.
@@RacingPCs but it's 1700kg and thats how it is ,if u want lighter buy cayman or alpine but G87 still will be faster around the track.
@@RacingPCs Let's try it 1kg ...since we're fantasising here ...
@@lanceclarkdjmadjikal Guys you're confused about the scope of a sports car and the weight such should have. At least a P 992 RSS is 1450Kg. And it's not lighter because it costs more but because who makes it tries to please racers and not shoppers.
Still an ugly ass car. Those wheels are not good looking either and will be the biggest pain in the ass to clean with the amount of goddamn dust those oem pads produce
