If you want to call rock n roll another name-call it Chuck Berry!!!
John Lennon
1965. I was 15. I was there. In the Studio Video Film in a place called La Sucrerie in Waterloo, Belgium. The VHS K7s didn't exist yet. I didn't know who I will see. But believe me, now I know who was Chuck Berry, the Father of the Rock & Roll. I met him, he gave me his picture with his signature and I had his guitar in hand. An incridible souvenir.
Fantastic, have you still got the picture. I was only 6yrs old then.
amazing!
Was that Gene Vincent in the front row? There was a guy with a pretty snazzy hairdo rocking out in the front row and he kinda looks like Gene Vincent
That's So Rad!! I littery was born to late, 74 but I grew up with music and musicians. Chuck was an still one of my favorites.
Do you see yourself in this video?? if not a bother where we're you? 😃 And Thank you for sharing your story. ☺️❤
Chuck Berry was ahead of the time. It nice seeing the people that created what made rock music the way it is today. Basically these rifts are what made more complex ones to for example master of puppets.
Not near as complex as this
1965....I wasn't even born yet. It was the most glorious time of my life.
I was 21 and it was a great time in Southern California
The GREAT Chuck Berry.
What a fantastic entertainer and guitarist. That's Rock and Roll.
At the top of his game, when his guitar playing was spot-on and crisp.
Nothing in today's music comes even close.
0:30 i always imagine the audience like 'ah yes yes beethoven, an excellent composer'
😂
The real king of rock
Never! Elvis!
I agree. Much more talented then Elvis.
Next to chuck berry Elvis looks like the jester
@@carterghhdjdjdjjdjdj1008 shortly after my comment the Elvis movie came out and I started watching a lot of old Elvis clips. Elvis in the late 60s was actually a different level. The 68 comeback special is maybe the coolest performance I’ve ever seen he had it all. Chuck Berry is the man though too. I can’t choose between the two now
@@jamesbaka1206 fair enough but I was just say
I love how early rock audiences are unsure of whether to clap of the on-beat or off-beat.
It's 2024. Europeans still don't know to clap on 2 and 4. 😂
It's great that this footage was preserved.
The inventor of Rock ‘N’ Roll
I remember growing up in the ghetto in Argentina, there not an adult or kid that didn't know how to swing. Such prescious memories of my childhood
Si bonita
Keep on dancing
Epic performance by the one and only, Chuck Berry.
Great entertainment
Willy Noël De Moor - piano
Roger Van Haverbeke - bass
Willy Donni - rhythm guitar
Eddy Hunton - drums
6th February 1965, Waterloo Belgium.

Without chuck ...there wouldn't be any "Rock- n- roll!! No that's a serious issue! 1953 to the end of time !! Thank Mr berry. For introducing the real deal ... Rock n roll!
I remember we were allowed to stay up for a "later" hour just to see Chuck Berry on TV
Almost 70 years later...how fucking cool is this?! Love from Ireland Chuck x
wouldn't it have been 60?
Nice to meet
Genius. Sure that Beethoven would appreciate it.
Beethoven I don't know but I see Chucks performance is fun
Lord please send him back... world needs more Chuck Berry
Legendary performance. Perhaps his best ever.
FANTASTIC performance...by a REAL musician. Like John Lennon said: If they had to give Rock n Roll another name, it should be called Chuck Berry !
What a musical genius!! RIP Chuck Berry!!
Chuck Berry never fails to make happy no matter how bad my day.

CHUCK Was A GAME CHANGER.
There's never been a better lyricist than this man. So clever, so witty.

Genius! There is just no other word for it…
El gran creador del rock and roll
So great this guy plays like somebody special...like he must be some kinda royalty......A King!!!
I feel so silly. I have heard the name chuck berry but had no idea who he was. I'd heard his music in movies but it never crossed my mind that it could have been a black artist 🫨 I'm learning so much in this History of Rock and Roll class
And he is the God of rock and roll.
Chuck Berry straight up Rock the house!
This is rock and roll. Better than much of the stuff today.
What a showman, he was! 🙂
Ya know even Elvis once admitted when asked that Chuck Berry was the real king of rock'n'roll

LOVE CHUCK BERRY ❤❤❤❤❤❤
His guitar playing is fucking amazing 😍
I'm showing to my mother this phenomenon and as she is born in the 50's she's saying: oh, i hear Beatles. Oh, i hear Elvis. The real king, together with Little Richard and Jackie Wilson.
Chuck left us March 18, 2017 Roll over Chuck Berry

RIP e obrigado Chuck!
Fuking rocking as it gets! Nobody has ever come close to
Love when he plays the hell out of his guitar
One of the greats
The king !
GREAT Chuck Berry 🤩😘❤❤❤
That was amazing 🤩
A gem.
Genial Chuck Berry
No good music without chuck
El guitarrista que todos quisieron imitar
Fantástico.
He is great
¡Viva Chuck Berry!
🇨🇱🙂
Iconic❤️
Chuck Berry the original guitar hero
Preciosa cancion
Part of what makes this such a great show is that he had a great Belgium jazz combo backing him up. Sound like he actually rehearsed with them before the show. If you listen to the live in Detroit show you can hear Chuck making mistakes and the performance is hurting. He had just gotten out of jail and played folk songs for the inmates. By 65 Chuck was coming back to claim his crown and took the time to make it work. Too bad he didn't stay with that mentality.
we want a Chuck Berry guitar hero !!
Exceptionnel
I love this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤+❤ beyithzbabybelcebu i dedicated to my father
I would have loved being a little older I could have went to one of his concerts I bet everybody was having too much fun

RL VERDADERO PADRE Y REY DEL ROCK AND ROLL
Magic
"I *caught* the rollin' arthritis sittin' down at a rhythm review"
Mr. Berry was an incredible performer. The Beatles were great admirers of Chuck Berry, and they did an amazing cover of this great song as a tribute to him. (Actually, I prefer the Beatles version).
And the jukebox blows a fuse
My heart's beating rhythm
And my soul keeps singing the blues
Roll over Beethoven
And tell Tchaikovsky the news
Wow🎉
The first GREAT GUTIAR PLAYER
I love this song ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ beyithzbabybelcecebu
King King King !
