The Mona's Tuesday night jam session was founded by clarinetist Dennis Lichtman in 2007. It has been called "ground zero for an emerging late-night scene of young swing and traditional jazz players" by the Wall Street Journal. Each week, a rotating "house band" of four or five musicians plays one set, then hosts a jam session for the second set. It's a New York institution, and with these live streams we're happy to make it accessible to everyone!

Do you want to know what real jazz is in my book? Exactly this one. Tamar and Shaye - these wonderful ladies with jazz feeling over the top - can't get any better. And ok - the boys were really good enough for them. This is music to enjoy, thank you so much.
