+Claudio Monreal nah kid will be fine, for that kid at this point, training would be his favourite thing in the world, the only worry is when he gets older, he might get fight hungry.
I hate when people say training for 8 or 10 hours a week will ruin a children's growth. How come football players who have played since they were 6 that practice 2 hours for 4 weeks a day are tall and muscular.
God bless the dad for guiding his son to put his energy into something productive. Wishing pretty boy bam bam and his family much success. The clip is an inspiration! Love and Light
The love given to a child from his father is worth ten king's ransom. Thank you dear sir for showing your son a way to use his gift. You are a hero and your son is a winner! Congratulations.
Congrats to this kid's parents specially his father. They are doing a tremendous work with this kid. He has an amazing boxing skills. Congrats pretty boy!!!!
The faster you punch, the more power you create and it's harder to block. If you don't believe me, then take this in mind: if I touched someone slowly with a metal bullet it wouldn't hurt, if I touched someone quickly with a metal bullet it would hurt temporarily for about 2 seconds, if I threw the metal bullet at someone it would hurt and possibly leave a mark, and if I shot the metal bullet out a gun it would either go in you or through you. The reason is is because the faster it goes the more momentum it gets. Also if u still don't believe me, listen to this: if a meteor landed on earth slowly going up to about 2mph then no damage would be caused but if it went about 200mph it will cause a dent in the floor because there is more speed. You also get more power from punching from where you guard is, if you swing your arm back then punch, you can: injure your arm (strain or something like that), your opponent will see it coming and there is less speed and less power.
+Dominus Providebit power is measured by impact which is the sum of mass X acceleration. Two ways to increase power is by hitting faster, or weighing more. in the instance of punching, technique increases the amount of weight put into the punch. efficiency is key
+Dominus Providebit the only variables you should take into account, is the mass of the bullet and the acceleration it received from the gun. An ak-47 will fire either a 5.56mm or a 7.62mm round depending on what version you are carrying. The 9mm round will have the most mass of the bullets, so it already has the headstart. guess it depends what is firing that bullet
whoa that kid has talent i wish i got into mma when i was young but now i just have to train as hard as i can man this kid is inspiring to make me train harder
This kid has tons of potential and it's great to see. I started boxing at 6 too and got to the Olympics, but personally by the time I got to the Olympics, I was burnt out and didn't want to turn pro, but everyone is not like me. We might be looking at a future World Champion!
when he says the likes to play with his toys and play with his friends, it just made me feel really good, I don't know why, but the fact that he is a little kid and isn't any different from my little brother
Boxing is all training, the early you start the better, he is really amazing. Good job dad on teaching him so young. He will be a good boxer someday, well he already is I guess : )
Great father/son relationship--bonded. I am laughing pretty hard because I just finished reading some of the comments. Thanks everyone for keeping it between the lines.
I noticed that the interviewer was not only good with the kid, but also kept professional control of the interview and was conscious of time. He was seamless in moving the interview along while still showing respect to his interviewees. I hope someone gave him recognition at his place of employment for a great job.
I'm all for this kind of thing, we treat kids like babies, he is learning discipline and dedication. It will benefit him later in life whether or not he continues boxing. If the kid didn't enjoy it he would make it clear.
Very nice one learning about their bodies capabilities and limitations at such a early age. One thing I would recommend is doing knuckle push-ups fingertip push-ups and getting high sources of nutrition versus just a traditional clean diet. That is the one thing the majority of all professional fighters neglect. And I am aware of 8 different ways to effectively train the wrist and forearm. The key in this area of the body is developing the tendons that go from the forearm through the wrist and hand fingers thumbs. There is nine separate tendons that are grouped together in that area of the arm. Either way it's nice to see someone so young enjoying their physical freedom in the way of training.
This kid got some furious power for someone his age. I started Karate at his age but my power wasn't nowhere near his, or awareness level, for that matter. I see a champion in the next decade.
that is unfortunate, my dad trains me in Martial Arts and my family always tries to beat me up to see if i can defend myself, so i have tons of support, but just because you don't get support from any one, you should still pursue it :)
I think that's a great dad. The world needs people like him. That child seems well adjusted and his father gave intelligent answers. Good on them.
this kid is good hope they don't over train him though he is just a kid

Cool kid, nice dad, very annoying ESPN guy.
Dam right that guy was annoying, condescending and pushy. Lighten up he's a lil kid.
I'm glad he has a father in his life and he is starting out young, wish I had both of those privileges.
Really though
Hate the host, but love the kid and his trainer.
I know. =)

This kid is amazing. I can see his future in boxing.
when the reporter said what his favourite show is I thought it was gonna be ufc. In fact the boy could do well in mma
If my future son can do this i would be the happiest and proudest father in the world
Unbelievable timing, coordination and speed for one so young. If he continues into the amateur ranks, as he gets older, no kid his age will touch him.
Beautiful Story of Father and Son!
