    Haha I always get a good laugh out of the fact that so many people go onto there computers to slag genuine fighting men off. I can guarantee none of these guys who come on here to feel tough would actually go up to a trained fighter and say the shit that I read on here. Respect to any man/ woman who goes out and earns a living whatever way they can that's all I say..

      You'd be suprised some people come talk shit and start shit because they hear you're trained. I'm 28 now so it doesn't happen much, but my lil brother is 17 and it happens to him constantly. That's just regular kid shit. I think it's good for him to have chances to use his boxing to defend himself. He's 5 years in training plus my dad and I have tough him the basics forever before that. Back to the point there are definitely some ass holes that pick fights with really any kinda martial artist just because they either think it's bs or its just bugs some people if they feel like they're aren't the tough guy in the group, building, party, etc.

      That may well be the case but the only thing that matters is, is he any good. I happen to think he is. All young fighters have off nights; Hughie Fury looked very mediocre in his last bout but I happen to think he has real ability.

      Billy2011C how about he trained for 7+ months and wanna show off what he learned and wanna punish his opponents by continuously knocking them down but not out, ppl talk shit cuz he's not fighting the NAMES yet so he's untested, every fight you get tested cuz every fight you could get KNOCKED OUT

    I see some of you saying Roger is better than Floyd as a trainer. I know some of you don't like or respect them. However, they understand the sport of boxing very well. Each bring his own specialty in defense, offense timing & reaction. Floyd is in a unique position to benefit from both. Both use the pads but teach different things to Floyd, you very rarely see Floyd hit the pads w/ his father yet when you do, it won't be in the same way as when he works w/ Roger. .

    One thing which you can see in this video, is the slight difference in Floyd Sr and Roger Mayweather's padwork structure. From what I've seen in this and other videos, is that Floyd Sr puts quite a lot more jabs into his drills, mainly to finish combinations on. It also seems like Floyd Sr moves around the ring more when doing it also, whereas Roger tends to stay on the same spot during combinations and only moves feet when he takes a half spin around before starting over. I prefer Rogers method

  • @JustMAR510
    @JustMAR510 9 лет назад +7

    when ppl complain that a fighter is fighting bums its 2 things: either they dont like the fighter, or the fighter is just that fucking ridiculously awesome, hence Mayweather jr., rigodeaux, eubank jr. When you make fights look boring and ppl call your competition "BUMS" is the funniest/dumbest thing to hear(boxers box brawlers brawl). you cant fight 50 straight bums and be undefeated can you MAYWEATHER JR? you cant have over 400 amateur fights win a title in the states in 2 fights can you RIGONDEAUX? and this Eubanks Jr is undefeated, with POISE i havent seen before, how can you not like GREATNESS?....guess im weird

    • @balke7935
      @balke7935 9 лет назад

      kileblade people don't respect Jr because he lives in his Dad's shadow. The only reason he's getting the spars and open doors that he is getting is because of his old man and his contacts.
      He looks extremely ripped for his category, but that is all. Apart from that, he has proven nothing so far - I have to say, he held up better than expected against Saunders, but he was outclassed before, during and after the fight. Jr had no bottle for the first half of the fight and when he knew he couldn't out box Saunders, he knew he had to knock him down - good luck knocking a traveller down mate.
      Will he amount to anything in the future? He has it all to do. He has made it harder for himself because he has relied so much on his father and people don't respect that.
      I can't help but love Eubank Sr... I don't respect the way that he used to bad mouth boxing and offend amateurs and pro's by saying what he did when it put the food on his table.
      Jr needs to wind his neck in for a few fights and let the gloves do the talking. He is nowhere near belt standard yet, worse still, his unjustified arrogance is putting crowds off him. His dad was arrogant as a new pro, but fuck me he was good... and if you get the results he got so early on, you deserve to be arrogant and people like it. Talking yourself up and being undeservedly arrogant, then getting panned just makes you look stupid - Eubank Sr went into those rings KNOWING that nothing could beat him, I don't get that from the kid.

  • @kanguesso
    @kanguesso 11 лет назад +1

    As an MMA fighter, i envy Chris Eubank's hand speed and how technically sound he is already. I wish i had the opportunity to work with such an accomplished trainer like Mayweather Sr. even Roger Mayweather would be a HUGE treat for me.

  • @timblaylark5605
    @timblaylark5605 8 лет назад

    I know most guys are trash talking but for me, now that I'm not American kickboxing anymore I'd just like to train someone this good. This kid with all this talent listens, which means he respects who's talking. That's earned not freely given. The kid doesn't over reach even when he misses. I'd like to train a kickboxer like him that's for sure. His speed reminds me of Ramone Dekker in his hey day.

    Eubank sr was never the same after Watson, before that fight he was unstoppable !!

    Exactly - Look at the skills Ricky displayed against Malignagi after one training camp with Mayweather Sr. The improvement was phenomenal. Hatton was too arrogant for his own good against Pac.

  • @Mesomorphed

    The real work was being done by Floyd Sr. Eubanks looks like he has impressive speed and technique, but what Floyd Sr. is teaching him is valuable. And to be doing mitts at that age shows how good of shape he is in

    @ThePhillySuperman Yeah, you're exactly right. A lot of people talk about this style of padwork, which most call (rightly or wrongly) "the Mayweather Style", and discuss the merits of it, but in my opinion, the main asset that it has over the "traditional" style, is that it is based upon an action and reaction. The sequence is made up of different phases and they all begin the same way ; block/slip/push a shot and then counter it. They repeat it over and over....

    If you notice, Mayweather keeps it close and pulls back when he needs to to give Eubank more range. You have to meet the gloves because at their age and the amount of fighters they train, you're gonna blow out your shoulder if you keep it stiff. He taught the best fighter of our era most of what he knows after all..

    You are mistaken! ROGER takes the pads to Floyd, Floyd SR actually holds the pads out much farther. Next, It is true that a fighter will not WANT to stand still, if he is stunned he covers up and not always moves his feet. Next, the pad drills are to develop instinct and that is what this does.
