I've had the sportster normal longboard for about a year as my push board and love it! I have the hybrid yoface preordered which will probably be taking place of my riptide and ownboard mini. I love that bustin took their tried and true skateboards and electrified them instead of a company that has the parts and just slaps random decks on. Glad you got to ride some!

Bought a V2 Sportster X+ love that board and I have two Evolves that I’m equally obsessed with and the Bustin holds its own. Since originally purchasing the V2 I’ve since bought two Bustin push boards. Great products and everyone who I’ve dealt with from the company is truly amazing.
I got one for Christmas, sportster x, I live in south Florida, I only wore it for 2 and a half days, because of rain. So far, it’s great, I got up to 18.7 mile with on g3 mode and about 17.2 with g4, I only weight 195lbs (being more specific, more of muscle than fat). I did reach 30mph, lowest it went on g4 was 28 mph because of the environment, it felt stable, didn’t feel fatigued, probably I exercise a lot so I don’t get fatigued long on a board, I haven’t test the uphill since we have no hill here in Florida unless I go to a park with fake hills. I will keep riding and post more information if anyone cares

Its interesting how the balance physics between the bustin hybrid skate deck and a regular skateboard are enough to make ollieing the bustin board very awkward. Maybe as batteries/motorsect get to the next gen they will be small enough and light enough that it will feel like a normal skateboard.
Been curious about Bustin's upcoming hybrid. Good to see some coverage! Disappointed to see hub motors, but i'm interested to see some in-depth reviews on these guys.
That was my thought ref the hub motors and not belt ,but I see why they have gone with them for less drag .I just hope when mine arrives it can still chew hills pretty well . I've ordered the 100mm wheels too .
@Vetle Holme Can't say I have. I've reached out to Meepo support in regards to the brakes and haven't heard anything yet. I was honestly expecting it to come with the NRB (Like in Kami's video) but it just came with a basic hobbywing remote ._.

Great looking boards Love the enclosures What kind of motors and batteries? I ask because those enclosures look to thin to hold much more than 10s3p battery pack and that’s crazy numbers if they’re actually able to get close to 20 miles
I have hit 30 mph a couple of times on the NLS Pro, 32 mph with a stronger wind at my back, before I got a spooky case of the speed wobbles. At 61 years old, I especially did not want to eat pavement, not that there is a good age for eating pavement:) If speed is your thing, its tough to beat the NLS Pro at its relatively reasonable price.
@@davidlinscheid2321 that's what I was thinking. It is $300 cheaper that the G3 with similar performance, maybe less of a build quality overall but I am seriously considering it. I have a feeling Meepo is releasing something soon, they always seem to release boards sporadically. I feel as though backfire takes more time and energy on their premium boards, and also I feel like the 52v system may last longer overall, I am going to be putting over 1000 miles easy . Probably a lot more on the board
I got my YO FACE BOARD Friday took it out yesterday as we say in Texas it hauls ass got up to 31 mph of course I checked the other speeds very dependable
Need a 12S3P battery upgrade, maybe a layered ESC. 10S3P is too small in 2022. So 12S3P and maybe hollow trucks to keep the weight down. A lighter deck as well. It's possible to keep weight down and centered still that way. Come on Bustin, I need that hybrid for a transition eskate!
Hey Ronnie I'm so stoked you managed to catch these guys as I'm just about to pull the trigger on the new Sporster X and was a bit hesitant as there is not much info on the net review wise .But I respect the fact you have ridden a shed load of boards and still think this is up there .I was worried about the hubs as I've just sold my GTX and only know belts but The guys assured me at Bustin that the hubs are torquey and will still concur hills with ease .Im also ordering the new 100mm wheels ,did they make a difference ? Ronnie Sarmiento cheers ,I think it’s made my mind up . This time around I didn’t want to spend the money a bamboo gtr costs and I’m not a great fan on the weight of it over the gtx . I was all set to go with the wowgo 3x as it seemed a good board for the money and very much like the boosted stealth however although this doesn’t have belts it has better range and I prefer the deck set up for true carving so hope it is the right choice
Jason Adihetty have you had a V1 and tested it then ? If I can comfortably get 15 miles it will do any of my sk8 sessions ,never need to do 20 . From what I can see most boards that do 20plus weigh more and that for me is a big negative hence I’m not buying the Evolve gtr bamboo to replace my recently sold bamboo gtx which was about as heavy as I could bare .
Bustin Yoface vs Meepo Mini 2? I’ve just got my Mini2 ER and Im in love but the deck and wheelbase make me desire more agility. My thoughts are the Yoface’s smaller wheelbase can allow me to tighten the trucks for more flexibility between agile and stable for top speeds. Since I’ve already pulled the trigger on the meepo im considering deckswap but the Yoface seems to check off everybox im missing from the meepo.
I have a onewheel now and was thinking of picking up an electric from them as I am a long time customer of their regular longboards for some intense downhill riding. These other brands just don't understand the security concave can provide to a rider.
It uses hub motors instead of pulleys like a boosted. Pulleys aren't too bad but kinda give this dragging effect when you just wanna push the board. Hub motors are loose and you can either push the board if it's dead or you're trying to save power.
without power, it rides like a heavy skateboard. there's nothing really significant to explain, it's just slightly less efficient than a regular board.

The best part of these boards is how cheap they are vs other electric skateboards. And the parts are quality. Only payed 700 bucks for mine. Compare that to boosted, metroboards evolve Or any name brand Electric skateboard maker and you'll see what I mean.
I bought one of these and it crapped out in a few weeks and then it said it had a year warranty. I reached out to them and they answered at first but they’ve been ignoring me without actually trying to figure out what the issue was. Personally was not satisfied
They never did shit for me man. I had to buy all my own parts the board was flawed from the start not gonna lie. I told them if they werent going to work with me id tell other people. Ive hit them up multiple times. I juat ended up using it for parts

I was going to pull the trigger and get one but pulled out because im a guy in my early 40's and I am trying to lose weight having an engine do the work for you defeats the purpose the guys riding these boards are also 110-120 lbs put a guy that is 170 on there it isn't going to go 30 mph

I get it and it’s cool. Anything could break or snap. We were taking sportster decks off the ramp earlier and everything was fine. There’s a chance for anything to break, who’s to say when everyone has their own personal experience and truth

This model is inspired by a long distance push board, I think they wanted to maintain the easy to push aspect into it. Just my thoughts.

you could fit a 12s3p, but thats not compatible, a 10s4p would fit with no room to spare, you'd have to be very careful of how you route the wires.

I wish it was explained how it rode without power and how it pushes. The hybrid aspect intrigues me

If the battery dies can you still push on these, or will this damage the motor? Is there resistance?

I didn’t come to the demo with much knowledge on the boards and left only with the experience of riding. It’s best to search for this info online.

In any case, "Whisper-Quiet hubs" does NOT mean anything when you're trying to simply ascertain the specs of the motors. How did you avoid speed wobbles? I tend to always get speed wobbles when going at higher speed :(
Better balance/riding style
Put more weight over front trucks and keep legs sorta loose so when it wobbles its not as drastic as if you had locked legs

I was going to pull the trigger and get one but pulled out because im a guy in my early 40's and I am trying to lose weight having an engine do the work for you defeats the purpose the guys riding these boards are also 110-120 lbs put a guy that is 170 on there it isn't going to go 30 mph
