Thanks for commenting - the music wasn't our choice, the song is called 'don't rush', hence the #dontrushchallenge and we aren't the first to do this

So it seems like local talent is hugely under represented - again very much seemingly white privileged. Out of all the female pilots there seems to only be two ethnically Asian pilots featured, and the rest White? For a company based in Hong Kong? Not a very diverse community you have it seems....at least not portrayed in this clip #cathaypacific
This was done of our own backs by Cathay pilots- not a company ad. We have many Asian female pilots- they didn’t volunteer to join the video though- maybe some are a little shy for something like this .....

I wonder, are these women pilots because they are competent or through positive discrimination to make numbers?. Do they sit special CPL, ATPL tests, are they rated differently?. Am asking this because I don't see forums or UN SDGs applauding single dads for taking care of their families in the absence of a female co parent. Does is it make a man special because he can change a diaper while supervising the rest of the brood during bath time?. I believe in equal talent and opportunities but in my humble opinion, if a woman qualifies on merit on task, then she's no different to a man on that field. We need to be careful on this positive bigotry against men, it comes in different forums, named and themes but feminism is not equality, it's bigotry towards the male species. An A350K doesn't recognise the gender of the pilot but the FMS protocol respects coherent, precise and competent execution of commands, that's all that matters, that the monkey managing the autopilot is competent...
There is no positive discrimination in Cathay- our pilots are judged by all the same rules and experience criteria. We do however wish more women would apply for the cadetship and we trying to figure out ways to encourage that so we can fish from a bigger pool. Since the beginning of flight the percentage of commercial women pilots has remained constant- around 5%. There are studies that show that people don’t become what they can’t see so we make no apologies if this video spreads the idea that women can become pilots- though there was no intention in this video to send any message except to say thanks to our cargo pilots, male and female, and to have some fun!

Yeah, I'll never fly this airline. You don't see male pilots doing this. Its because they take their job serious.
You better have a look at some of the other challenges and start striking off those airlines that have men doing this- there’s plenty of them.
WTF. Calm your ass down 😂 just because you participate in this challenge does not mean that you don't take your job seriously. Also it doesn't have to do anything with the fact they're women. 🙄😐
