6:44 The Kyivan Rus were not just one of the modern nations we have today. The leaders/rulers were Swedes, most of the population were Eastern Slavic, and there were also Balts and (barley) Finno-Ugrics. The Eastern Slavs are the ancestors of Ukrainians, Russians, and Belarussians. So not only Swedes, Russians, and Ukrainians.

At 0:53, there was a very influential movement to keep the US out of WWII. One of the activists that opposed these efforts was the political cartoonist Theodore Geisel, later to become famous as Dr. Seuss. His wartime cartoons were collected and republished in the book "Dr. Seuss Goes to War".
Wait so was Dr Seuss pro-f*** the Germans or anti-f*** the Germans?
@@stevemc01 Theodore Geisel was against American isolationism. The one cartoon of his that I remember was a father reading a bedtime story to his children. The father has the expression that you would expect him to have if he had just gotten to "and they lived happily ever after". The two children have looks of utter horror, as the father says [paraphrased]'the wolves got into the house and ate the children and their parents, but that is okay, because it happened in Europe which is very far away.'
@@richardbell7678 The way this is worded makes it sound like Geisel was doing that thing in the end of horror movies where there is just a sense of "you're next" after a kill, so that is definitely some symbolism...

Magna Carta: By definition, the Magna Carta gave power to anybody that owned land in England, and took it away from the king. Nobody below the rank of baron owned land in 1215 AD. Today, property and land ownership is achieved by about 50% of the adult population in England, which means that yes, by today's standards, the Magna Carta did in fact look out for the common folk. Just not for everyone.
3:06 it's even more ridiculous than this, Frederick was tasked to go on crusade but got sick as soon as he left to he went back to Sicily to recover, and was excommunicated for abandoning the Crusade.
But he was married to the Queen of Jerusalem so he went anyway and negotiated the city back into Christian hands (albeit, for less than 20 years). He would end up getting excommunicated a further two times and be declared a predecessor to the Anti-Christ because of other shenanigans involving the Pope. See OSP's video on him for more

The FitnessGram PACER Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues.
The test is used to measure a student's aerobic capacity as part of the FitnessGram assessment. Students run back and forth as many times as they can, each lap signaled by a beep sound. The test get progressively faster as it continues until the student reaches their max lap score.
The PACER Test score is combined in the FitnessGram software with scores for muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and body composition to determine whether a student is in the Healthy Fitness Zone™ or the Needs Improvement Zone™.

History technically starts after the invention of writing. North Americans didn't have a scrips with exception for the Mayas, Incas and Aztecs (and maybe some other smaller civilizations) when people talk about Americans they don't often mean Mexicans or south Americans. The first scripts about them are from the vikings when they crossed the pacific and found America. They wrote about it and so the north Americans entered history. Existence isn't the same as history. It is true that there was a past before it though. You could compare it to the Celts, the Celts weren't cavemen anymore and even had cities and agriculture and eventually had a script. Technically that wasn't history yet, but when the Greeks and Romans came along and wrote about them (and they developped a written language) they did. The Mesopotamians had a script arround 3200 BC. History and the past are different. In English the word history is often used for the past, but in many other languages they don't use their variant of history (dutch and german are english's closest cousins and although they have a word for it they don't call the past history.)

10:43 The first object to make it to space was actually the manhole from the nuclear explosions test (same year)
LOL
10:47, Sputnik wasn't the first man made object in space. A V-2 test Rocket in 1944 already went into space, and as far as I know, the finished V-2 Missile did. NASA basically just removed the warhead on their first test flights with the rocket and pretty much so did the soviets.
