I like the camera, but the cable should be attached to the camera directly. When you use WI-FI, it is pointless to have an ethernet cable and you need to secure it. When you use POE, you need to additionally secure the power connector. That forces us to buy plastic boxes and hide all the connections.
i will not be using the ethernet cable so rather than drilling a large hole through the wall for the plug can i cut off the plug ,tape it up, and just push the wire through the wall thanks
As it happens I managed to just push the spare cable into the void. Don’t rate the warranties with the Tapo. Really they don’. Handle rain etc without triggering So have to turn the noteifacations off mostly. Defeating the objet really
I agree with the other comments here. The cable is too short and bulky to go through my wall, so I will need to purchase a junction box to hide them on the outside. The ethernet joint should be detachable. Also, there should be a commentary on the installation, not some awful music you have to mute. Not impressed at all.
My apps could not locate the camera and i called tplink support they claim that my ethernet port is deffective since i tested my ethernet n it worked even when my apps can identify canera via wifi.
Just bought three of these cameras and sent them straight back as they are totally unusable. The cable is so short it isn't even long enough for internal walls let alone passing through breeze block and an external stone skin.

I'm having this problem where can see joined cable connectors which wanna hide somehow
Where do you buy all these accessory, does it come with the security camera? is a cover for the ethernet port?
Why is the cord end soo fat.. it is extremely difficult to pass it through concrete wall..?
Deal with it (:
Does the black power cable need any waterproofing?
What happens to the wire if not using an ethernet cable and does they go through a brick wall etc
You can either leave it hanging or secure a watertight junction box to the wall and hide both connections in there
