Thank you for specifying the power adapter power output 12v at 1amp. Thank you 🙏🏽 This is very useful info and after you mentioned this I placed an order for 4 x cameras. I already have a 12v cable running to some old cameras and these TP Link ones will power up perfectly from the existing power.
Bought one and great all round and easy to set up to personal requirements. Zoom in if necessary although a sd card can be fitted . Argos has a special deal currently

2. Just use the camera to monitor and continues recording
3. Do you have to sign up for the free trial
4. Basically can you use it to monitor and record the outside of your front door
Yes you can turn alarm off. You do not have to sign up for free trial.

Am I correct in remembering it can follow movement with motion detect? or it always is on, as in if a ca or bird walks past?

Hi, for long distances is Ezviz C8PF? Can it's zoom cover 150m, does the zoom really make a difference in clearing things, for example a car plate number?
Please advise, I have a Tapo C500 Security Camera. Sometimes the person detection dosen't work when someone is passing from the marked zone. Also I have installed the camera on front of the house and wanted to cover front porch and a part of the road where I have parked my car. The problem is that the camera can cover either road or my front porch, so if I keep the camera view on the road and mark the front porch with turning on motion detection then would it be possible for the camera to move from road angle to porch angle and then go back to the same position??
Do you know what the static field of view angel of the camera is without rotation? I don't see this info on tapo website

Go for a good branded card as the camera will be recording over and over onto the card.
double check sd card. bought 5 pcs of this and I also bought 5 512sd card. didn't work. what only works is 128gb sd card
But it support upto 512gb it's written on amazon description clearly. 😢

Why 512gb sandisk extreme pro is not working, tapo c500 is failed to format the micro SD card. I've read the same issue from a comment from other tapo c500 review video.
Try switching tapo off and on.

Can u get an extension cable for this if the 3 metre cable is not long enough? Also does it trigger every time someone goes past as i live on a main street so would not want notified constantly. Can this be adjusted?

I think C500 is not like that i bought it today when i connected to same wifi network it work smoothly but when i connected to mobile network/ using mobile data it does not play video.

I have a question, and it's difficult for me to find an answer to it, so I hope you can help me. During nighttime recording (any mode), is it possible to make the camera not display any light? I'm asking this mostly for the IR-only mode so that the red LED lights are not visible.
If there isnt a setting (previous tp link cams have always had a lights off setting, black nail varnish over the led would work if desperate
For me, this camera becomes useless in cold weather lower than -10 degrees celsius. At -16 it becomes close to non-functional. I wonder if it becomes an iceblock at -20 degrees celsius which is around the corner. Works fine at warmer temperatures. Dissapointing... Greetings from Norway.
Works great for 1-3 days then goes offline and needs resetting ...happens every 1-3 days , anyone else having this same issue? No other wi-fi device in the house has any problems.
I've now set up auto-reboot at a certain time each day to see it that helps as it was turned off.

@@ditalistdiary Hi, I will wait a week and see if setting the auto re-boot option fixed the problem, but this may just be down to my own wi-fi connection. The c500 is very high quality and tracks action very well.. I wouldnt say it was worth upgrading to the c510 as the quality is still very high and sharp on the c500 unless you just would like the very best spec.
