@@DanKoning777 Let's say that the little "bump" on the battery is .5mm in height. Just 10 cells in series will be 5 mm added to the size of the battery pack. Also, cells will probably be re-welded. A nice smooth surface gives you a better connection.
If the battery were loaded from the motor side ('back') you could see the result without removing the battery and flipping it over. WOW, you've got lots more parts and stuff than I have collected! Really nice work. Thanks for sharing.
you may want to have a magnet or vacuum or stand the device up on end so the pieces are pulled away because all it takes is one tiny piece to drop in the positive end of the cell to cause a short.
One of the greatest ideas. Would love to see a manual version with no welding. Something us newbies can do easily. But again a wonderful idea and build.
Why not have him build you one. Then you wouldn't have to learn anything, like adapting his design to something you can build with the tools and materials you have on hand. SMH
Wow what a amazing job you doin that thing..so intelligent creative you just made those.. that’s awesome.. god bless all.. thank for sharing video, you inspired me...
Well done , but be careful : you must absolutely not cut the insulation ring on the positive pole of the cell to avoid any (big) short immediately with the big blade!
Nice idea, never even knew you could build something to remove 18650/21700/26650 spot weld marks. I will just keep with my old method of using cutters to remove whatever I can. Also, hope you have a good way of sharpening that tool, as the cutting edge will become blunt over time with trying to scrape away so many pieces of metal.
⚠You can remove all the electronics and only use the DC motor! when you use limit switches and a index pin welded the rail. (ok, also 1 switch for up and 1 for down) It's much cheaper that way 🙂
Great innovation and a wonderful final result . However, I just wonder , how about adding a limiting block to not push the battery way too inside the groove. I mean , its now manually dependent on how much we push it inside .
it depends. removing spot welds by hand and using a dremel is exhausting. disassembling only one bike battery usually is around 50 cells. building this thing also is fun plus a huge help. ill build one ;)
@@catsnotcops_ If this was much more replicable such as using 3d printing, it would've been great but for a one time ebike project doesn't make much sense imo. But if you play with cells a lot it would be a great idea.
Excellent work. I wish I had such a machine. If you can make a machine like it, I will buy it from you and send it to me to Saudi Arabia. Please write to me if you would be so kind. If you agree.
Congratulation. Could you give a link to the plan to make the mechanical parts only. So the shape and dimensions of the mechanical parts. Thank you for sharing.

I literally spent hours this week removing spot welds and solder from 18650's. Jehu needs to build some of these!
May I ask why people need to remove the welds/solder to begin with?

Sure Jehu needs these done
If it takes similar time to build a machine as it does to do it without one it's definitely worth building the machine.

Been there done that! Pretty sure shipping cost a Pretty penny. @CreativeChannel
The weld was usually less than 1mm wide, so a hand lever chisel should be enough.

An ingenious tool and well made . Thanks for your time and work.

Something I've found helpful, is to use a nail file after the cutters to clean it up some
I really love your work brother, plaese try to speak English, everyone speak English brother, easy to learn man, thanks ❤️❤️
Currently only about a fifth of the globe uses English but it is fast becoming the world's common language.

Anyone have a name or model number for that servo motor/driver setup? Looks like a 774 motor
