I tried to replace mine but couldnt’ get to the top right bolt. It seems to be under the part next to it that has the yellow, white, blue wires going to it. What am I missing? Does that wiring harness need to come off? Thanks for you help
@@dannyc8338 Sometimes, but eventually it just switches back to heat and when it does, I can't turn it off with the "off" button. It really sucks during a heat wave. Oh, and thanks for replying.
Hey I have the same exact problem my car is 2002 mercury sable ls does this method apply to my car because it blew cold until I put the heat on an it stayed blowing hot aire ever since
Yes...I have to replace a lot of these blend door motors, they are what open and close the AC-Heater door in the plenum assy. If it is full of freon then more than likely this will be your problem.
@@dannyc8338 thanks for the reply. I was able to find the oem ford part online. I had this issue on my car for over 2 years and knew that was the issue but thought the whole dashboard had to be removed until i saw your video. Thanks!
Curious if anyone knows if there's a common relay, or fuse, that feeds this entire panel? Mine is totally dark, and the blower is on full hot defrost. Happened after I recharged, then changed my battery. (thanks for the video.)
No, I don't see anything labeled HVAC. Went through a bunch of fuses and relays, and doesn't appear to be an easy fix...(of course). Guess I'll need to find an electrical schematic for my "exact" application, to see what feeds this whole panel. Completely dead, top to bottom. But the instrument cluster is working, and illuminated.
@@joequillun7790 Ford has been hard to find fuse location. But it should show on owner manual. You have to go by the number. Then find that number on the fuse panel. Hope this helps. All ATC a.c. have a HVAC fuse and sometimes more than 1 fuse.
Thanks so much for this video! It took me a long time to find it but I know what to do now.
Glad i could help you

Why does the heat keep turning itself on on my Mercury Sable and why can't I turn it off when it does that?
Does your ac work?

My 2000 Sable was stuck on cold...then I replaced this part...now it's stuck on hot.
What is the white hose?? I put an aftermarket stereo in my car and had to disconnect that hose. Now my ac doesn’t work. 🤔🤔🤔
Does it have to be OE part or will aftermarket work?
Where did you get the replacement part? Also any part # would be helpful
O.Reilly auto parts. just ask for Main ac/heat blend door motor. Sorry i do not remember part # but it was a Murray brand. they are very good pats

@@urahaman1479 glad to help, some cars you do have to remove the complete dash, but not on this one
How many of these does a 2002 mercury sable have ?
I think it has 3 , I got mine at O, riely auto parts. The bad one was the main blend door motor. Hot/Cold blend door.
❤ thank you so much for the help and I appreciate you

I think there is a fuse called.. HVAC ... Look in owner manual for location of fuse.
@@dannyc8338 Thanks Dan, I'll check it out tomorrow, and let you know. Appreciate the feed-back.

Also have you tried a
factory reset on the
A.C...HEAT. Panel?
Not sure how to on your car. But you can Google it.
That metal thing in front of the blend door made it a headache to put a new one in.
