  • A teaser for my Embodied Movement Class
If you experience anxiety, stress, body image issues, fatigue, or physical tension and pain…the good news is you’re a pretty normal human being in the 21st-century. You’ve likely already noticed the bad news, which is this is not a particularly pleasant way to experience life, and moreover it can have a negative impact on your mental and physical wellbeing. The GREAT news is…that I’d love to offer you a fairly simple practice that could help.
Embodied Movement Is a trauma-informed, mindful, body-awareness-based movement practice that helps you to reconnect to your body…to explore moving in ways that feel good and nourishing for you, reclaim healing gestures and sensations, and helps you to increase your somatic resources for well-being. Or it’s be a way to just dance without notions of “good or bad” or how you think you should. It’s a way you being friends with your body.
In this 60min weekly practice you will be guided into your body via your senses, and then invited to explore movement that feels good for you, while being offered various cues for optional points of focus, with a final re-integration at the end.
Sometimes practice will feel fun, free and creative, sometimes it’ll be emotional and cathartic, or soothing and nourishing. Your body will know what it needs, moment to moment, and you’ll get better at listening to it as you practice more.
Classes are live on zoom with recordings included so you can practice anywhere, anytime. And this practice truly is for EVERY body. As long as you can breathe (and have internet connection) this practice is for you.
For more structured practices I also offer gentle Hatha Yoga, body-positive strength and conditioning, and Egyptian bellydance classes.
Come explore embodiment, empowerment and self acceptance through mindful movement with me.
I’d love to get you back into your body.
