They introduced the HC Pro Comp right after I bought the HC Pro. Of course they did.
I got lucky, it came out a few days before I was about to go out and buy the pro lmao
Me too same exact thing I've got a hellcat and two hellcat pros with thread of barrels. And then they came out to come but that's okay I got muzzle breakers on mine. And at 9 mm I didn't want to take the chance of it being any weaker or messing with the accuracy on the port. I don't think it will though mess with an accuracy. Any power that doesn't go out of the front of that barrel comes out the sides of the top is less explosive power that the bull has. And with the pro version it's got a longer barrel with no porting it ought to be about 5% maybe 10% more powerful.
I was picking my Pro up and going through the bgc and the sales dude went to the back and brought one out to put in the display. I was like wtf mate ya couldn't have said anything when I was looking at the HCP the other day? They had just got in. I was kind of peeved. Lol

@@RogerBarrera so, I was able to get to the range today. It definitely shoots flatter. Especially, when I practice double taps.

I carry and love an RDP and I've been considering whether the new Pro Comp is an upgrade or just the same. I like the look of the integral comp but not sure that alone justifies the upgrade. The RDP and I just get along too well -- I've tried others but I keep coming back to the RDP as my EDC sweet spot.
I hope they COMP THE ECHELON NEXT...!!!!

The profile comparisons starting @22:10 make them all look the same as far as recoil pulse. it is such a minute difference I'm not sure a port would be worth it based solely on this round of testing. I wonder if improving the trigger would be a better improvement.

Roger...my man!!! Great content as usual 🤙🏾. How do you think this compares to the X-Macro? Since one is a ported barrel versus a ported slide, I wonder if there's a noticeable difference in felt recoil and/or return a zero?
Also, did you notice more accuracy in guns with a ported slide like X-Macro vs ported barrel.
I’d imagine there’s better accuracy with the ported slide like the x macro over the entire barrel and slide being ported. At the same time I think there’s less recoil with the ported barrel and slide vs just the slide. Thanks for watching man!
@@RogerBarrera thanks for your insight Roger. It seems like however you slice it, there's always a trade off. My instinct says go for accuracy, but for an EDC pistol, the accuracy is more than acceptable. Guessing the recoil mitigation may be the winner here 🤔

I've owned the original Pro and a Taurus GX4 Carry which I shoot slightly better due to it's superior grip. But now I'm dying to see if a comp can make up the difference .
Yeah I like my Icarus grip more than this one but I’m glad to see they came out with a ported model.

I saw a HC Pro Comp review by US Carry and he was comparing it to his Sig P365 Spectre Comp with a shorter barrel (muzzle rise avg of 6.5 degrees) compare to HC Pro Comp of 8.5 degrees of muzzle rise avg. Now my question is what if you replace the barrel of the HC Pro Comp to 3.1 inch - would the muzzle rise avg even get better? Both guns are almost identical in size and both have sliding comp port but the Spectre just have a shorter barrel. Do you think you can make a video on it???? The Pro Comp seems to need a couple of extra pounds in weight in the guide rod. The ejection pattern is slightly erratic.

I’d say get whatever size you wear for t shirts. They’re pretty on point with me for how most t shirts fit me. I’m 5’8” 200 with the large.

What streamlight trl7 sub goes on the hellcat pro? Hellcat or 1913?
We use the 1913 one since the pro has a longer rail.

I dont understand the comp movement, its louder, has a brighter flash at night impeeding your aim, and the recoil reduction is minimal, it also makes your gun dirty af 😂
I think it's human nature, we want to tinker and also there is no bonus points for accepting extra recoil. Now I will say depending on the comp or port the recoil and sight return can be very advantageous. Also the brighter flash isn't a real problem at night. Even under nods

ur getting crazy groups bc that ammo is not matched up with that gun-those groups at 25yards off a bench are pretty bad

That accuracy at 25 is wildly unacceptable. I totally understand that most defensive situations happen well within 25. But those groups at 25 while RESTED is downright dangerous. Really seems like a Springfield shill there.
Never would I say 3 or 4 unaccounted for shots are “acceptable” and make me feel “confident carrying this” while low heart rate slow firing.
I hear ya, but I get the similar groupings with the majority of my micro compact guns like this. Thats what I was eluding to.
I also said that these groupings are a consequence of porting a short barrel like this and 25 yards being difficult for me with a small handgun like this. Maybe shooting a 6” circle with a 3” barrel gun is easy for you, but like I said in the video definitely not something I’m great at.
So many of you so quick to call someone a shill when you come across something you don’t agree with. Why would I tell you to get yours ported elsewhere if you already have a Hellcat Pro? Why would I show you that both ported guns had similar bad groupings at 25?
I take guns out onto the range and show you how it goes. I was happy to hit the small 8” wide target with both guns as much as I did though. 🤷🏻♂️

You got extra noise, extra cost, and extra flash. Not much recoil reduction. Not worth the one benefit

Accuracy was terrible from bench.
Guess I’ll quit bitching about 2 1/4” with 124 +P HST (25 yds/bench) with my P365’s. (PMM Barrel/Comps)
Yeah man, I typically don’t get get crazy good accuracy with smaller barrels at 25. I might just suck shooting bench rested too 🤷🏻♂️🤣

I couldn’t tell which grain weight had the most recoil. Looks like the gun will eat anything you run through it.
