People are saying they’re getting sick of Christine, and think that she’s overacting. I think that she is truly as happy as she is portraying and she’s not going overboard. She was in a 30 year relationship with a horrible person that treated her horribly and now she found somebody that truly loves her and it’s truly the love of her life and yes, I believe that she is as happy and even happier than the way she’s acting. You can see it on their faces, all of them look brighter since they left Kody. And you know Kody is mad because Robin now looks haggard! LOL!!!
Right? Robbem ' and Kooty look like the grift is coming to an end and they can smell it.
I agree 💯!! Let Christine be happy until you've walked in her shoes. Being in a bad relationship, you will see that her reaction to her newfound happiness is well-deserved!

omg i cant believe what i just watched on the part 2 i had to jump over here and see what everyone else is saying. if he melted down that ring years ago and was so cruel to her then no one she was having an online thing and he had some nerve acting upset over it. someone needs to hold him accountable for his cruelty.

Robyn in NO DUMMy! She plays the role of meek and sweet- but look how she left her husband- look how she manipulated her children away from him- look how she was quick to be a part of the Brown’s TLC family! This Black Widow is SMART!
And…Meri’s daughter had to know about the ring, yet almost completely abandoned her mother over the catfish thing!!! How damn aweful is that?????

I think it’s important to remember that they were a child in an abusive/unhealthy household. They were also the golden child in many ways but that also rotated. They were the only child in their house and 1 of 18 in the family and your mom got sh’t for only having 1 child (you). A few of the older kids have come forward and said stuff about Meri’s behavior that meri has done a lot of processing on for the last 15ish years which is great because while Meri was a victim to the religious abuse and abuse in her meri that reactive behavior cause trauma to a lot of the older kids. We also have that the catfishing happened 7 years after the ring melting. They were a “child child” when the ring was melted and everyone all the adults acted like it was fine. Even Meri acted like it was fine to her child. Meri still is defending Kody and until this season was says that thinks she deserves it, was living in limbo, feeling guilty, etc. you can’t be mad at a child for parroting the beliefs of both parents (and all the adults and other children) as a child. They can “know” something happened without KNOWING what it meant. As a child how would you connect a random event about rings that was explained as the older daughters getting rings from all the parents and then getting new rings with a new wife to your mom cheating on your Dad 7 years later as a teenager. As an adult watching the TV show and hearing Meri say that we all know that was the moment their marriage was over. But Meri’s child didn’t have that information. Listen to Jenelle she didn’t know what it meant or what kody said. Janelle thought it was exactly what Kody said. Kody made the decision to end their marriage when he melted the ring. If Meri lead and told the other wives “Kody meet the love of his life he meltdown our ring I am leaving” the other wives would have followed her much faster. Meri still has a relationship with her child and their partner they just don’t show it on TV. We got to remember that all the kids were KIDS when the show was filmed and we all said stuff as kids we wouldn’t want recorded. REMEMBER at the time of the cat fishing they used she/her pronoun, they were conservative, wanted to marry a cis gender man, be a sister wife with lots kids and wanted a little sister or brother my their mom more than anything to feel more apart of the family and have a sibling with the same mom/house. They haven’t been on TV since so we don’t know how they think or feel now♥️
@@nightingalesastra5451 Leon and Meri are very close. They live in different states now and see each other fairly regularly. Leon stays away from Sister Wives and Flagstaff unless they absolutely need to be there , ie. Gwen's wedding.
I agree - but her daughter has a mental illness so you can't really expect that her behavior is going to be logical or fair - and where did her loyalty to Kody get her ? Banished and shunned - even though she is obviously in severe distress and needs all the support she can get.

I’d love to hear peoples thoughts on Robyn saying to Meri “well you’ve been doing this certain thing for a while now” after asking Meri if she was “just going to accept that” when Kody said he was done. I think that’s so significant. It’s the first time we’ve seen her on camera directly saying/asking Meri to continue doing what Robyn always pretends she doesn’t know about. She asks Meri on camera will she continue doing what she’s been doing which is being strung along. And then immediately turns around and pretends she doesn’t know what “act” Kody is referring to.

I think Kody was actual defending Meri their in away at the break up . Bec Robin still trying to play same games she been playing on Meri using Kody to do it . Meri is angry with the wrong people. I don't think Christine told about the ring out of malice. I think she is genuinely sympathetic to Meri, because Kody and Robyn were equally horrible to all the OG3 and their kids. Christine is fair, even if she doesn't personally like Meri. If anything, Meri should get angry, and she and Janelle, should hire a lawyer to get them their fair shares of CP or the cash equivalent as well as the money they both put up to purchase the McMansion.

@@meggie423 Christine has shown a hell of a lot more sympathy to Meri about how Kody has treated her than Meri has shown Christine. Instead she sat there with a smirk on her face during the whole "knife in the kidney " rant, then later told Robyn she was glad he said those things. So yes, Christine is a sympathetic person.

Robyn was a giant red flag right from the beginning especially when they almost couldnt get mortgages due to her debt using 3 different names! Polygamy was the worst choice meri could have gotten herself into. Meri and leon were always deeply upset in nearly every episode. Every one of the wives got something out of this train wreck except meri whom was used by robyn and kody. At least christine and janelle have a great friendship for life and we know robyn the grifter got everyones money but meri really got nothing.
I feel sorry for Meri/she chose the wrong side to be on-even Kody said she was trying to help him but he didn't want her help only her money quote unquote/now she's all upset with Christine about info all sister wives fans already knew/she went in light on Kody for what'd done ✔️
The ring was already gone by S1E1. I went back and checked. The ring was gone before Robyn moved to Lehi. So Meri's marriage was already over & they faked it all these years for the cameras
I think Meri is more embarrassed than angry. Because I and I think many more people are thinking, Kody melted down your ring and you still started a show, stayed and faked all of this?! Wow!
Leon got siblings and 2 additional moms. I believe they have a good relationship with most of the siblings. It wasn’t a good deal for any of the women. Regardless Kody would be a shit father so at least they know and have relationships with their siblings. If it had been traditional step families probably wouldn’t be a thing as he would ignore each family when the new one was made.
And the red flags were apparent to the kids I don't think they were pleased with a new younger wife and possibly more children. Robyn's saving grace was that she was open to Leon coming out, but that might have been "for the camera" who knows if it was genuine. I'm not financially perfect but I would be too ashamed to let anyone but a parent take on 30k of debt for me - it's so messed up that Robyn made her debt a communal problem. It took me years but I paid off my modest student loan by myself and there's a pride that comes with that.
If Robyn claims he melted down the ring long before he met her then why is there footage of him wearing the ring when they were dating? She can’t keep her stories straight. If she didn’t know about the ring she would have said “what ring?” 😂

I believe Robyn was very aware in the beginning of Kody's rocky marriage to Meri. One Kody cant keep his mouth shut. He gave it away at the picnic table scene. Where he threw the sacred covenant back at Robyn. Why would she make him promise that if he wasnt whining about being stuck in a lovless marriage.
Meri, Kody and Robin also went to counseling before they married.
Also i think they made Meri feel responsible for the deterioration of the marriage ( justified or not) and used it as emotionally blackmail to push her into the divorce as a way to redeem herself for the family.
Totally agree re the timing of the one and only time Kody gave Meri a sliver of hope that they could rekindle things, was when they were all sinking their money into Flagstaff.

Christine has been keeping the family’s secrets for so many years. Things like; the wives don’t like each other and aren’t happy, Kody is abusive, Meri is abusive etc. The ring probably seemed like a small issue to her. Meri has been faking it to profit from the show the whole time.

All of them are keeping secrets. And they may have lost empathy due to it. This secret wasn't hurtful to Christine directly but humiliating to Meri. Christine might think after all these years the shame would be gone especially since she has gone through a lot of healing since leaving and finding someone who loves her. Meri was still in the thick of it. Meri should forgive Christine. Christine has a right to tell her story, same as Meri has said when Kody tried to silence her. But she still should be more reflective of what is her stories and what doesn't need to be told by her. She might have thought that Meri's experience made her more sensitive to Kody's new ring but anyone would have noticed it and known what it meant. The old story didn't add anything.

If any part of Kody thinks that what he said in these “Tell Alls” is going to rehab his reputation or make people like him, he is going to be so disappointed. According to him he lied to his whole family for the past what 30 years about loving them. But I guess if he never loved them it’s ok to abandon them. Janelle and Mary need to get lawyers to make sure him and Robin don’t cheat them out of the property and Christine and Janelle need to go after him for child support. I can’t wait until Robin leaves him too. He is just a pathetic, despicable, poor excuse for a man.

I think that for several years, Meri asked Robyn to be there at times, because Kody always gave her a hard time, and twisted her words..
Then in the last 2.-3 years, Meri wanted both Robyn and Kody together so neither could tell each other that she said something different than what she did. Especially after COVID, when she had time to figure things out, and see clearly.
Watching Meri's reaction to the ring story Christine shared I sat there trying to figure out why I disliked Meri so much. I think 1) She has the kind of presence that drains the energy of out the room. I can't pinpoint it's her demeanor (that feels disingenuous, like she's trying to keep her true personality in check) or if it's the vague words or descriptions she always uses. 2) As you said James, she's mad at the wrong person. Christine sharing the ring story HELPED MERI. IT'S BEEN 17 years! I think Christine held her tongue long enough. 3) The inconsistency and lack of clarity when she speaks. She's so wishy-washy. Like she's waiting for someone else to anchor her self too. Meanwhile she has this persona outside of the show that she's confident and independent. To me she seems like she has unresolved trauma or issues and her inconsistency is a little scary. I can't figure out if all adults are really confused about what they believe or are picking and choosing. For Meri to sit there an pretend that the ring thing only impacts her relationship with Kody is not consistent with statements all the wives have been during the show: What happens in one relationship impacts all of them. I my opinion both Meri and Robyn use their religion to manipulate situations for their own benefit. (ie Meri's house in Las Vegas).
Exactly right - glad to see someone else gets it. She talks like a politician - speaks but says nothing except how "frustrated" or "disappointed" she is.. Really Meri ? You stayed in a emotionally and financially abusive relationship for 18 years past its expiry date - and used religion as an excuse - which is lame. The cat fishing incident showed she was willing to look elsewhere if she could tee it up in such a way as to minimize risk to herself and lock down something before taking the leap - so she knew the plural marriage was over and she was just biding her time.. She is very conniving and manipulative.

I don't agree. Meri was downtrodden for years. I think that during COVID, she had time to see the big picture
she is a serious control freak, everything has to be done a certain way and she is selfish....she can have good moments, esp with the kids but not with her sister wives or even Kody. He for sure abused her feelings for him and used them against her and i think that made her more controlling and meaner.
I think it's very telling that TLC is starting to allow the wives to drop bombshells that reveal the 'man behind the curtain' (i.e. the facade) that this show has always been from the beginning. A few seasons ago, the melted down ring reveal would have never made it past the cutting room floor. It not only shows that the OG3 marriages (or at least Meri's) were irrevocably broken from the very first episode--but also that they all knew it and went along with it anyway--most likely for the $. That TLC is basically allowing the OG3 wives to admit for them that the Browns/the network have been lying all this time may be a foreshadowing of the show's future.
I honestly believe that Meri believes there is a part of Kody that will take her back, and that is why she refuses to show any real anger towards him. He has, by far, treated Meri the worst of the OG3, but I don't think she will ever tell the full truth about how Kody treated her.
It's so sad. I think she was so burned by the catfish but she could try again with a real person. "First love" is so powerful but Kody has rejected Meri in so many ways. When he said he wouldn't argue with Meri finding another it was SO sad - he was clearly done and that would be heartbreaking to Meri who was still in it...
@BerryHair405 I agree. Meri has shown more anger towards Christine than Kody. Meri's story is very sad. I don't think Meri will say anything more because I think a part of her feels embarrassed for all the time and energy she put into trying to only have this result.
@@kiab2324 I think it's positive that Meri has her B&B and is also successful in her business - part of the toxicity is that I think Kody downplayed it so much in his "one-upmanship" and didn't want to acknowledge how well Meri was doing financially (or, if he did, he made it about Coyote Pass and supplementing him) I hope she gets distance from Kody and Robyn because they're hell bent on keeping her miserable!

The OG wives all say this happened after Kody met Robyn but not sure if it was before or after R&K spiritual marriage. Meri has a lot of repressed anger at Kody, imo legitimately. I hope she gets help dealing with it for her own sake. He’s not worth keeping that pain bottled up and misdirecting the anger towards others.

On another channel they showed some old tell alls. Christine is the one who started the “I speak a little”. Christine said she spoke a little Meri, a little Janelle. Kody said Christine saved the family at that point. Robyn has stole a lot of what Christine has said. The old showed Kody talking about being in love with the other wives, Kody defending Meri, Kody saying to him the catfish is not real, than Robyn throwing Meri under the bus. Robyn was friends with catfish. I’m sure at one point it will come out that she was the mastermind behind it. Robyn is not as dumb as people think. Kody is so narcissistic and so is Robyn. At some point Robyn will get tired of Kody and how he acts. She will get tired of having to play up to him. She will walk away. If she dose it right, she will be a rich lady. I completely agree, sherbear, if you look at Christine during the interview with Suki, she is an absolute heaven when she’s looking at David, her eyes are lit up- she’s just on cloud nine him as well. He lost his previous wife. And now he has Kristine and they’re just absolute heaven together and Cody is livid about it. He can’t stand it he can’t stand the fact that she is so happy without him. IMO, In the long run, Christine did Meri a favor because sharing that ring story creates more empathy for Meri and shed light on Kody’s true colors. Instead of Kody mending whatever issues were between him and Meri, he burned the relationship to the ground long before the catfish scandal.

I really got nothing from this tell all episode. I was very disappointed that the only thing we got was from the teasers. I really wish they would just answer the fan questions and quit playing but the reality is we have to come to terms that Cody and Robyn will never be honest. Cody says he told Robyn. Which means what kind of friend continues to ask you to stick around knowing the man said he doesn't want her anymore? This shows Robyn how very manipulative Robyn really is. She wanted everyone to continue to stay and get nothing so her needs could be met. I did want to point out that the whole conversation about "speaking Cody" means that she was involved in everything and we can confirm what we have always known that her "act" of being so confused and things blind sighting her. All of them stated she asked to be involved even with the kids so how are confused? She is a straight up liar and that is my guess at what Janelle was speaking to from last year's tell nothing lol.

In their Religion, wedding rings are not exchanged during the Ceremony. Kody even said that was why he forgot it during Maddie and Caleb's Wedding. He said it was not a part of their Weddings.

James expressed that he had no idea what made Robyn tick, whether she was crazy or a super genius exploiting this entire family. I would say she is both. Robyn reminds me of my materialistic and narcissistic sister. Robyn has Main Character Syndrome. Robyn has created this fictional universe where all of the people in her life play bit roles and her desires and wishes are center stage. She is both director and star actress.
Someone like Robyn demands others do what she wants for holidays. She demands that her kids stay with her and never grow up. She demands the lesser stepkids kiss her backside and conform to her rules. She demands a woman with an empty nest and an empty marriage dedicate their life to her hobby business so she can have babies, instead doing what they desire (like finishing college). She demands other women take emotional abuse, have affectionless existences because she wants to sit on a porch with these women she does not like and visit grandkids she doesn't even have yet.
I am well acquainted with someone like Robyn. Someone that creates these large scale stories in her head and then gets really frustrated and angry when you decide that you'd rather be doing something else. It can be a small inconvenience and frustrating when it comes to things like where you decide to be for Christmas. But when the big life events happen, like the death of a parent, this sort of neurosis in someone you love can be devastating. People like Robyn do not have a clue that they are being unreasonable and selfish.
100% she has Main Character Syndrome. I think she partially gets away with it because of her "Quiet Wife" persona. Meri can be abrasive, Christine can be loud and Janelle is direct (which is good for this family). Part of Kody's ridiculous infatuation with Robyn is that she makes him feel puffed up.
Yes to the large scale stories. We have family members I don't associate with and I worked for a grandiose narcissist. I mentioned a nice watch my bf gifted me for Christmas that I didn't wear to work because I didn't want to scratch it, and then my narcissist boss had to 'one up it' by telling me about this amethyst bracelet her husband gifted her. Sure enough, she wore it the next day. She was a very large lady and it looked like it was going to pop off her wrist it was so ill fitting. I feel like it wasn't a special thing she was sharing with her husband, it was a vanity piece that she used to lord over anyone in her vicinity.
Seems like part of Kody and Robyn's chemistry is just how shallow they are. Robyn saying "it's a cool ring right?" almost felt triggering because it wasn't about enjoying sharing jewelry with her husband, it was about making Meri feel like dirt in her own house AND having the audacity to get Meri to explain her B&B plans and how she was "staying". At some level I feel like certain narcissists have a fetish for either marrying, employing or surrounding themselves with people they can verbally beat down. How pathetic and appearances-centric does a person have to be to quash others and not enable people to be content?

He didn't get her an engagement ring because they were very young when they got married and really poor. Her husband had just bought her a house, worked years to afford to buy the house, and she was nagging him for a diamond ring. It is absurd. I don't get people who are materialistic, or compare their lives to others.

I would like to see a short series of the OG3 going to some “off grid” camp site where they have to work through the issues with each other and have actual conversations. I feel like this would clear up a lot of conflict, but also give us a “clearer” picture of what they all endured.
It’s easy to fill in the blanks with your own thoughts/narrative when communication is lacking between people and I think the OG3 are proof of this.
Often we come up with way worse than what the other person would have actually said and thinks.
Imagine living your life always trying to meet unrealistic expectations with a moving goal post, because you want to be happy, have a solid family, and prove you are worthy. It’s exhausting…. I unfortunately know what this is like, but didn’t have two other know women in my marriage. I later learned there was a lot of people in my marriage. Thankfully I am out of it, but I see how Kody treats his kids and it’s almost a carbon copy of how my kiddo’s father treats my kiddo. He even told me once he didn’t like the kid coming to visit because looking at their face reminded him of me, but would tell the kid I didn’t allow visits and he had text to prove it to take me to court.
Men like Kody don’t stop abusing women after they leave. Most of the time the abuse gets worse especially if there is a tie, like a minor child, in the mix. So I understand why they seem to down play or flip flop on what they say. It’s fear of the attacks to come.
I wished I would have realized this when I left my abuser. But it is so true!
I wouldn't wish that on J & C. Too much like their honeymoons. Not to mention, Meri would need a lot of therapy before anything like that could work.

Once that baseline happens and you can stop questioning yourself and everything that has ever happened it opens the door for healing.
Meri said, in my words not hers, that Kody kept moving the goal line for them to work on the relationship. She said he was say tell me what X said, do this, give me this, blah blah blah. That statement was very defining IMO because Meri was used and desperate to have his favor. It explains IMO why she had issues with the others, and most likely why her nerves/ocd was so bad.
Lastly, someone commented she stayed because of her mom and I agree. Her mom told her you just deal with it basically. Meri doesn’t have a lot of family and I think she wanted to hold on to what she had even if it was not safe (😂- I had to use that word) or productive for her to thrive. She was raised that you just deal with it and her mom was all about Kody. Look back at the suggestion she gave Christine when Christine talked to her in Vegas. That was Meri repeating what her mom had told her.

Robyn being the “best advocate” for sister wives, needing two more wives to enter heaven, and “speaks Kody” primes her for ✨Head Wife✨ and HEADHUNTER for more women to “bring into the family” (SCAM).

Interesting what you were saying about Meri's mother locking the doors and not letting her learn from her mother's library of experiences. I know I learned more from my mother's mistakes than from her mostly unsolicited advice. Her advice was mostly bad, but when I was in my teens, I learned it was mostly better to do the opposite of what she said. But mostly, I observed her own poor choices and learned from that. Mind you, I never told her this. That was just asking for trouble.
