    Thank you so much.
    I warmed up turpentine and linseed oil in a water bed (80 Celsius) before I mix them together. This is a perfect vax for every kind of wood. All natural.

    I bet that fire mixed with the beeswax smells incredible. This is the only way to do paste wax. 🙌

    Very good, nicely done. This wax can also be used on metals as well but personally I would not use on leather.

    Would this recipe have been used historically for leather as well? Thanks for the video.

      I'm not sure if it was used on leather

      This is a perfect recipe for wood but I wouldn't use this on Leather. Depending on the condition and where the Leather is, there are different products and solutions. The main thing for conditioning the leather is Lanolin so if you choose a leather care product including lanolin, it will re-condition and protect the leather also saddle soap(with lanolin), Mink oil and Dubbin are great products for replenishing, nourishing and water proofing most leather goods. For terribly dried out leather; firstly Almond oil and/or Glycerin can be used to break the rigidity and toughness. Normal hand soaps/dishwashing liquids are bad for leather also olive and sunflower oils should not be used on leather as well.

    I did not understood the proportion between beewax and carnauba.... Can tell me the percentage of each wax?

    • @alangeorgebarstow
      @alangeorgebarstow 11 месяцев назад

      He stated one quart (two pints) of beeswax to 3 tablespoons of carnauba wax. This is roughly a ratio of 21:1 of beeswax:carnauba wax. One quart is 946 millilitres. 3 tablespoons is 45 millilitres. Hope this helps.

      Caranauba wax has more shine to it than beeswax, but it’s more solid. So to avoid turning the end product into a rock solid paste, you would use much less amount. Ask me how I know😊. You can always play with the portion less or more to reach the desired form.

    Any chance mineral spirits would work instead of turpentine?

    Great video! Do you perhaps know how do they make Carnauba car wax? Is it the same ingredients?

    • @Karttibone

      Seems like raw Carnauba wax. You'd have to get it from the leaves of the palm themselves.

    It could be nice to use measurments that eveyone could understand, as litres, mililitres or at least, ratios.
