Оh! my congratulations. Very cool that you (and we) have such a unique and pleasant ability to evaluate this magnificent razor. Thumbs up, as always. Thank you so much.)
Very nice shave! Razor and brush look fantastic! Beautiful hydrangeas Mrs. H, my grandmother had a huge clump of them by her house. The unseasonably warm temperatures are still with us so the geraniums, petunias, and merigolds are still in bloom. I'll be using the Q-Shave razor this morning, setting three works great, thanks for the tip Paul. Take care, Ossie
Great shave .... as always ... Purchased this Razor early this summer. Fabulous shaves from this razor , well built and balanced I agree . Well worth the price , will last a lifetime.
Though good packaging does not make the razor, this product still has attractive, useful packaging. The presentation is nice. Have a good week, happy shaves, and as usual, nice flower arrangement by Mrs. H, and good accompanying music.
Great shave Paul and that is one beautiful razor! It's funny that razors could be so expensive but considering the craftsmanship and material being used it's understandable. Not to mention it's a razor that will definitely last several lifetimes. Just want to add Paul don't EVER stop "Pick-up Time"...its a highlight of the video for me, lol. Take care Paul.
Paul thank you so much for what you do,it brought me to this way of shaving and l absolutely enjoying wet shaving, would love to come and meet you in person sometime as l am from england ,thank you
Wow what a lovely razor. Pricey mind but as you say you get wot you pay for. Beautifully presented. Hubby would love that but knowing he'd like the Whickhams soap he'll have to settle for that!!! Yes I'm buying him stuff again!! Can't resist when I watch your vids 😂😂👍👍 Great vid & gorge flowers thanx both 😊
That's a beautiful razor. I've admired Charcoal Goods razors before. I'm pretty sure the basic design inspiration for the head is the Gillette New from the 1930s, except they've done it with a closed comb instead of open. I like they've left a bit of overhang as it helps when removing the blade. If it's like a New, there will be no need to fiddle with the alignment as it'll just be perfect every time.
wonderful experience all around Paul i would be absolutely chuffed to have that razor as well. i like the way the blade gets locked in place by the bars and the slot rather than the posts and hole design. a very nice low profile head to it as well eh? good for getting under the nose hairs. i also love the brush. that chess board handle is lovely. i have that same knot in a brush from China, called Yaqi. it's a big 30mm monter tuxedo brush and it works a treat. between you and Cris i really think i must try that Wickhams soap. anyway have good day, cheers.
Thank you, yes a great good quality razor, I liked the bars, seems to fit the blade nicely, and yes no problem under the nose, very good all round infact. The brush is amazing, a very talented guy..nice knot aren't they....all the best....Paul.
Russian leather is my new favourite right now, absolutely beautiful scent... im usually a wet-head but use wickhams very thick and creamy, thanks for uploading Paul, I'm still waiting on my mingshi to arrive 😁 Best regards buddy.
PaulHFilms one of the best quality wise! Any chance you could do a shave with the mingshi razor showing you using the different settings Paul? Would really appreciate it before mine arrives :) Kindest Regards, Ashley.
Paul, do you have a link to where I can find that brush,.please ? Great shave with an awesome razor. I think I know what my birthday present is going to be !
I named it the Bishup....I would call that brush "The rook"...Good shave Paul...I,put the razor on my wish list..the soap worked well...Nivia standard..issue...Great shave for a Wednesday..Our hearts and prayers are with the people, who were lost and injured in Vegas in the US.....60 gone..over 500 wounded...a historical tragedy..by any History...R.I.P.
Very nice looking razor. Can't wait to see what blade you will try in it next. you aid it was pretty mild - but will a Shark or such make it feel more aggressive? I couldn't tell you how many times I've cut myself like that (loss of attention is a bear hehehehe). Have and excellent week and tell Mrs. H hello.
Thank you very much, yes will try a few blades in this over time, interesting to see how aggressive or not they will make it feel as you say....all the best ....Paul.
The angle doesn't change with what blade you use no, unless you personally change it during a shave to suit you of course. Not used a Feather in it as yet.....thanks.
I did yes, £33...stopped at customs, yet I have had much larger value orders from the states and paid nothing, I think it's just bad luck sometimes...thanks Steven.
Good afternoon Paul! That is a nicely crafted razor you are evaluating. I am impressed how easy it reduce your whiskers on the first pass. Most likely the result of an efficient razor and a good blade; so you have a good pairing there. You stated you get what you pay for and I tend to agree. I looked up the price of this razor ($155 USD). I know many will poo poo the cost. Yes, one can obtain razors for less. However, this appears to be a good quality stainless (not stain-proof) steel razor and those are not inexpensive. IMHO, if a person was sure this razor would be great for them then the price is inconsequential...you would pay more for cartridges for a Fusion in a year...and this razor would last a lifetime plus. Heck, it is an heirloom piece. Some of us are collectors or hobbyists or both. I collect user grade razors...so I can use them. For me, it is a matter of how well the razor shaves...cost is a factor only in regards to how soon can it be purchased. There is a few folks that just want a great shave at the least cost...for those...they buy the cheapest DE razors, but face disappointment in shave or razor built quality. My advice is to buy high quality razor, brush, soap, and blades. Yes, you can pay a little more now or pay and replace time again later. Each individual has a choice...pick well and be rewarded. Your shave went very nice, except for the slice in the neck...happens to all of us. Have a nice night and take care.
Afternoon Todd, yes very true what you say, there used to be a saying "buy cheap, pay twice"....not always true in shaving, but when buying high quality, it seems to last and therefore justify the cost......hope your having a great week....all the best and thanks...Paul.
Good evening Paul. It is true what you say as well...there are good quality items in shaving that cost about 10 minutes worth of pay. Arko shave stick comes to mind. I try not to judge the item by the price, but by performance. However, the hardware...you have to consider build quality and longevity into the equation. One can buy the $5 USD Weishi ...it shaves...yet it will not hold up like a Gillette Super Speed. Quality is a consideration...or at least it should be. Thanks Paul!
Another good video, Paul, and thanks for it! Seems your shaving is in competition with Ms H’s flowers, though she does move through the landscape quicker than you: maybe a tad too much of the old hot & spicy in yourself? When you take a break, check out Brian at his Charcoal Goods website. He’s a great bloke and superb artisan. His prices are honest for the cost, including what you order custom made: best of the artisans in me ‘umbel opinion. Cheers, PaulH, and all best to you and the Ms!
Thank you Geoff, Mrs H wins...lol....she is much quicker than me, I tend to enjoy the steady pace more..and thanks, yes will check out Brian's website....all the best....Paul.
I want to own a SS razor someday. Would you spend $155 + Shpping + Taxes of your own hard earned cash for such a mild razor or would you get an alternative razor?
I'm using Feather AS-D2 as my daily razor. West Coast Shaving seems to have copied the design. No wonder, in my opinion it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the video!
Stainless steel razors tend to be medium-aggressive and comfortable. The reason they're expensive is probably because of the costs to keep stainless steel machines running
Yes , shaving is not religion but just shaving... and i love it but i have some limits you know i don´t need 100 expensive razors .Edwin jagger ,parker, muhle or merkur are great razors and price is fine.
Nice shave Paul. One gremlin today. Super nice razor, and beautiful flowers thanks to Mrs H.
Many thanks, hope your week is going well.. :-)
Another superb shave Paul you could tell the quaility was there for that razor all the best Jarryd.💈💈💈💈👍
Thank you Jarryd, it is amazing quality, really enjoyed it....all the best.....Paul.

Thank you very much John....yes, good quality will last generations won't it.....and "pick up time" will stay probably...lol...all the best....Paul.

It is amazing quality, everything fitted nicely, and it felt solid...and thanks for the information, interesting...all the best....Paul.
Nice one paul thank you....
Thank you too.

Thanks Ashley, yes great scented soap isn't it, good quality too, hope you enjoy the Ming-Shi when it arrives.....Paul.
PaulHFilms one of the best quality wise! Any chance you could do a shave with the mingshi razor showing you using the different settings Paul? Would really appreciate it before mine arrives :)
Kindest Regards, Ashley.
Have planned anything for Halloween shave
Not as yet, the cuts and nicks in shaving, it's like Halloween all year...lol.
Paul, do you have a link to where I can find that brush,.please ? Great shave with an awesome razor. I think I know what my birthday present is going to be !
Thank you, he doesn't actually sell the brushes he told me, just a sort of hobby....but his email is graydog@gmail.com....thanks....Paul.
can you do a Superdrug twin headed razor blade cartridge system and they are made by Superdrug thanks
I don't use cartridge razors sorry.
You did indeed Bill, it suits it too....and a very sad thing to happen, as you say all thoughts are with those affected in Vegas, and there families.
Welcome to the world of stainless steel!
Thank you Larry.

Hi Paul. I was wondering about the shave angel. Is it an odd angel like with a feather? I only ask because the razor head reminds me of a feather.
The angle doesn't change with what blade you use no, unless you personally change it during a shave to suit you of course. Not used a Feather in it as yet.....thanks.
That is a fine looking razor!
Thanks David.
lovely razor
It is, nice to use too, thanks for watching.
Did you have to pay any import duty Paul means the razor was shipped from the U.S?
I did yes, £33...stopped at customs, yet I have had much larger value orders from the states and paid nothing, I think it's just bad luck sometimes...thanks Steven.
The head looks like the feather AS-D2 head.
I through that as well but it's a very nice looking razor.
A few people have said that yes....thanks....Paul.
BeautyofScent I thought so as well. Wonders if it shaves like a feather
Nice looking razor but way too expensive for me. Enjoyed the shave. Thanks Paul.
What is the name of the razor on the website?
It's called the "Hyperion" :-)

Paul is Your neck ok. Great video.
Yes thankfully...lol.
Big Word Wednesday! lol... ;-)
It is for me Mike...lol.
I was tempted to look into this razor after watching this video, but geeze, it's a bit pricey, isn't it.
It is at the top end of the price scale yes, but it is a good quality razor, you get what you pay for so to speak...many thanks.
Another good video, Paul, and thanks for it! Before using this, probably not..but after actually using it, seeing and feeling it....yes I would buy it. Depends what you want from a razor.
I’m bout to buy one for the 📦 the razor is cool too 😎 so I can’t loose!!!
I'm using Feather AS-D2 as my daily razor. West Coast Shaving seems to have copied the design. No wonder, in my opinion it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the video!
It's an amazing razor, the quality of it and detail ...wow....thanks and all the best....Paul.
No overhand at all I like this razor
It is a really nice razor, thanks for watching:-)
do a Gillette contour shave I don't own one
I don't own one either
Stainless steel razors tend to be medium-aggressive and comfortable. The reason they're expensive is probably because of the costs to keep stainless steel machines running
Very true, many thanks.
Sometimes I wish your beard grew faster in order to see more shaving videos. You can make people laugh. All the best!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that.....Paul.
155 dollars ...185 reg price...west coast shaving...
Pretty sure i had a set of dominos in a box like that :-)
Yes, that's right, we did too...lol.
Too expensive to pay $155.00 for a razor for me! I have a R89 which is still fine!
Hardly a waste! Once you own stainless steel, it's hard to go back. And they last a lifetime. I don't own this brand, but I'm sure it's high quality.
Yes , shaving is not religion but just shaving... and i love it but i have some limits you know i don´t need 100 expensive razors .Edwin jagger ,parker, muhle or merkur are great razors and price is fine.
It is expensive, but you do get what you pay for...thanks Richard.
Thanks for this tip about the blade can rust, I don't leave blades in, but handy for people who do.....Paul.
Yes...you can leave the blade in, but you have to untwist the handle a bit so the air can get in to dry the blade.
