Ex long time convict, mercenary, soldier, or some survivalist enthusiast could pull that off. But a high school kid is a little too odd. It's a movie about aliens, so anything goes.
I feel sad that this flick is totally disregarded, even by the people that made it...it truly is a latter-day example of the B-Movie -howl-from-your-seat experience, and it deserves to be recognized as such. The fact that it then has the teen movie social archetypes and drama mixed in to the broth just makes the end result all the more spicy...and chock full of guilty pleasures
This movie kicks ass. Love it. The only people who don't like it are idiots who always want their horror movies to have dumb ass endings where everyone dies or the bad guy or monster gets away. This is how scifi horror thrillers should end in my opinion. Anyone with any problems with it. They just have shitty taste in cinema.
@@NameSpaceVoid It's a variation on it, it's not like the characters or scenes are 1 for 1 recreations...but yeah, totally. Yeah, it was great being an older kid/young adult back in the day, we got some good stuff like this back then. Se7en and Fight Club were two great flicks I never forget to watch. This one and the first Final Destination are there too.
I loved this movie when I saw it as a kid. Still do and I still laugh when Jon Stewart screams "Now sit down!" Mostly because the movie is trying to make him intimidating when he clearly isn't and just comes across as funny to me.
I especially love the piece of music that starts at 2:29. It was also in Mimic. Both that and The Faculty were scored by Marco Beltrami, so it's awesome he got to reuse the same piece of intense music in both films.
I saw the Mimic yesterday and was like WTH? I also love that it was used in both instances to setup an anticlimax. Btw, do you know the name of the score? I wasn't able to find it in either of the OSTs.
She's an alien before this, when she shows up wearing the glasses. After her and Casey flee from the body in the closet, he keeps telling the cops to call Delilah, "she's not at home", "we couldn't get in touch with her" etc etc. It happens off-screen
I have always loved this movie since seeing it in theaters in '98...even had the soundtrack, which was really good, except for the Tom Morello/Layne Staley supergroup covering Floyd...that was just lazy, lol. And I was like 12 at the time, but I can always go back to this movie and plug right in, and it seems the same for anyone else I know who saw it back in the day; the movie stays with them. For some reason tho, it doesn't seem to appeal to 'new' audiences tho.
1:30. I don't think he actually sent it to the university. I think that he got infected from the bite on his finger and became infected that way so my guess is that it never made it to the university, and even if it somehow did there should have been a sequel to this film
You mean alien possession themed? Aside the Puppet Masters and Invasion of Body Snatchers, which were both referenced in Faculty, I quite like The Hidden (1987), which is a buddy cop scifi with great music score. There are also Invaders from Mars, I quite like the remake. Ghosts of Mars even have Clea Duvall from Faculty in minor role. That's just few from top of my head...

yea but the movie is a COMPLETE rip off of Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Stewart would very likely agree with you completely. He frequently made fun of his own lack of acting talent on The Daily Show.
See those eyes when he reveals his form? Ive seen those before
I would like a sequel but it’s hard to continue when the aliens are dead.
