The sequence of "The Faculty" that covers the introduction of the six main characters, and a great example of showing instead of telling.
1:15
Casey Connor
1:21
Stokely Mitchell
1:45
Delilah Profitt
2:16
Stan Rosado
2:46
Marybeth Hutchinson
3:39
Zeke Tyler
How do you know their last names? I know that some of these characters had their last names mentioned in the movie, but I didn’t realize that all of them did. Or are they full names available elsewhere, i.e. in a book?
One of Zeke's buyers never got caught buying illegal drugs. No, worse: he was convicted of raping 2 women and is now locked up in prison for 30 years.
Late 90's, early 00's were the days...
some would say the best...I would agree with them
Yes those were the days, awesome ones too.
those were the last days before the internet completely took over
Ur right! I wasn't even born in the 90's but I miss them SOOOO MUCH!
I graduated in 1999, they got the fashion accurate. At least at my school.
Young Elijah wood would of made A Good peter parker.
Kevin Gomez-johnson yep
Kevin Gomez-johnson
You mean peter puffer
He’s still young Elija Wood
Underrated comment
Not really. I think Toby McGuire was good.
Zeke had the most epic badass introduction
+Batista FURY he really did
Zeke itself is epic and badass. When those guys doubted to making business with him, and he shows them some drugs and says: "Scat. My own recipe. Guaranteed to jack you up", was like "Fuck the rules, I'm the master of dirty business".
Batista FURY he was so cool had a crush from the beginning
Daniel Pizarro yup he had mojo lol
"gauranteed to jack u up"
Love this movie. Sooooo late 90s.
+realitybites771 how so?
+JJoh4040 Soundtrack is full of 90s musicians (Offspring, Layne Staley, Garbage, Oasis), popular teen actors at the time (Elijah Wood, Clea Duvall, Josh Hartnett especially), nobody uses cellphones, the computers are all big and blocky, and the whole meta, self-awareness feel to it was part of the aftermath that Scream started two years earlier. Very 90s.
+adamtherock2008 love this comment, so true
And they knew it
Especially with the saved by the bell text on it
JJoh4040 are you trolling right now?
"how so?" 🙄
Zeke and Casey were my favourite characters.
Same,the rebel & the underdog
Mine too:-)
And Stokely
I was born in 1986. This film hit theaters when I was in high school. The fashion, attitude, VHS look, is so surreal!
@StarKushExoticGalaxy HELL YEAH, BRO!
Yeah! I remember pay-per viewing this and recording it on VHS. I'd go back in a heart beat.
If you were born in 86' and this movie came out in 1998, wouldn't that mean you would be in Middle school? lol
I'm the same age as you, did you start high school at age 12? If so then damn you're a prodigy.
You were 12 in HS?
Zeke is like one of the cool kids in high school you wish to be.
i was Zeke... but i was Driving a 2005 all black Nissan... i Dropped out of Hi school . Lol
Allen Tapanes Except Zeke was a smart rebel. You probably should of stayed and finished "Hi" school Lol
Zeke also was repeating a senior year.
Max Blare Thats fucking ridiculous
@@allentapanes6242 now your on drugs 😂
The two girls fight should have been longer.
@1:12. Good thing Casey ( Elijah Wood) is good tempered if it was today he would have blown the school up.
Also @ 2:20 that would cause any whimpy kid to snap today.
Low key and blame it on bullying
What I find incredibly interesting about this movie is that the main characters are highly and obviously inspired by the characters in "The Breakfast Club" movie.
The prep/"pretty girl": Claire/Delilah
The nerd: Brian/Casey
The goth: Allison/Stokely
The athlete: Andrew/Stan
The rebel/bad boy: John (Bender)/Zeke
Mary Beth being an outcast in the group in the faculty was a major sign that she was the ring leader of it all.
Mary Beth is more in line with claire..... also considering she was a semi interest for Zeke makes it even more in line with claire
@@AdsForAdults not really... Mary Beth was country and simple minded... Delilah actually seemed spoiled and rich like Claire from the breakfast club. Delilah clearly played as a rich girl. She was obsessed with fashion, makeup, and Estee Lauder for crying out loud... I could see Delilah putting on lipstick with the lipstick sitting between her boobs like Claire before I could see Mary Beth doing that... Delilah was pristine... Mary Beth was like some weird country bumpkin
omg yeah this movie is literally Scream, The Breakfast Club and Invasion of the Body Snatches all rolled up into one lol
Lol those are just the typical characters every school has them
@@jahleahsantiago6685
Exactly, these are the archetypes.
Breakfast Club is just the prominent staple of them.
I like how Stan & Zeke low-key protected Casey in this movie...😎💙👊💪
How?
@@jdfox8889 Well, Stan definitely did & Zeek protected him in the Science room when Mr Furlong (sp) had him by the throat
@@jdfox8889 Rewatch the movie.
@@danagraslie5718 Stan definitely did twice! In the locker room. And when Furlong threw him, he rushed to catch him. Zeke did too to an extent.
Hartnett is such a boss in this
The cast was soooooo good!
Marybeth is the cutest alien ever
I remember thinking this whole introduction scene was so cool when I was a teen in the late '90s - I replayed it a lot.
I even thought it was cool the way geeky Casey wore his bookbag throughtout the movie, lol.
Zeke was the best in the movie
Yes
whoa the 90s man
I really wanted Casey to get revenge on those guys who socked and polecocked him.
Me too
Well I mean he won at the end and got recognition and Delilah as well as someone else getting polecocked
@@StarKushExoticGalaxy yeah. But the polecockers aren't getting comeuppance and are likely polecocking another innocent guy.
I've never heard the term polecock until today but it sums it up perfectly.
i remember watching it in theater and young girls saying what a fkn loser to the bathroom scene
school is a real dump man lol
Casey is my favorite caracter
Love this movie ! so 90's - feels like yesterday
so the main character casey basically got rousted and tormented by others where they got away with it, yet his parents gave him a hard time and accused him of being on drugs. that was stupid. as for zeke, he had it pretty damn good. he had a really nice car and didn't seem to have such a bad life, but he was going to seriously wear out those tires if he kept driving like that.
He was a rich-kid but sent to a working-class school.
@@LandersWorkshop In some ways, "working class schools" can be better than "rich-kid schools", because at "working class schools", people dress how they want and plenty of people have graduated from them and did just fine with their lives later on. Just because someone graduated from a regular university, like Iowa State University for example, instead of say Harvard for example, doesn't that they still can't have the time of their lives in college and then have a great life outside of it as well after they graduate.
Welcome to the 90s
That moment when you realize Usher Raymond was not going to be really relevant in the movie. He was just a token black face they through up there and was shown every now and then throughout the movie. Now isn't that something? The movie was still good. But Usher's role left a lot to be desired. Starting with him hardly being shown.
Oh my I have been trying to search an info about this. I thought he was deleted on the movie
If I remember there was another character cut from the film she was supposed to be Usher’s love interest. I remember a ton of promos with an unknown female character being attack and another scene with her making out with usher. My guess she pissed off the director or test audiences hated her and usher scenes. In either case he’s was just there to attract the non-white audience members like brandy in “I Still Know”
@@icaliver Kidada Jones was the female character. You can see her in one of the science class scenes with Jon Stewart. She is Quincy Jones daughter and sister of Rashida Jones. She was also an ex-girlfriend of Tupac Shakur and best friends with Aaliyah.
@Just a Bruin Seriously? that’s awesome and still a crime she was cut.
Icaliver- Brandy was shown plenty of times though. She was actually relevant in that movie. Its not the same as Usher in this movie.
“You ran into me beast”
Lmfao!
Lol
😂🤣😂🤣🤙🏼
Zeke was badass af bro !!! This started my huge crush on Josh Hartnett immediately!!!
He was the best character
That girl fight is fucking hilarious!
I used to rewind it on video cause of how funny it was 😅
love♡ elijah wood♡♡
High school summed up in a few minutes.
Admit it, we all wanted to be zeke in high-school 😎
No bro, it was just you…
@@wynrick1😂😂😂😂😂
I used to live by the high school they filmed this at which is in Lockhart Texas I was a kid when they were filming
That car crash scene sends me every time! 😂😂😂
And has zero reason to be in the movie lol. I like to know who wins.

I love this movie. Love the introduction. Love zeke and Marybeth.
Zeke the best character
NOT THE POLE!
Zeke is the best character no doubt

I love this movie.
3:04 Danny Masterson!
2:55 Jon Abrahams from Scary Movie 1 slapping about the real life sister of Joaquin and River Phoenix
GODDAMN THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE. who's still watching in 2021?😃🖐️
Watched it last night in 2022
Looking back the mid to late 90s were the better part of the generation. Until Columbine ruined it and 9/11 ended it which coincidentally where my high school years.
I need to watch this movie again, adulthood is like scream 5, terrible.
Still like to know who won the fight.
scottieman2 I love that little part. The way she tries to pull her out of the car window is hilarious
@@dannyyboy4913 lol
I put money on the brunette. She had leverage, even after the blonde got her out of the car

Blonde wins
This movie is awesome. I miss the 90s
🔥🐯🔥🔥🐺🔥🔥🐶🔥🐰📿👟👟🚨 fuck we'll come to the rescue...
Does anyone know the name of the song when zeke is pullin the school in the beginning
Helpless - D-generation
Ryan Crossen lol u Steel here
0:00-0:10 one of the things I loved about the title for the movie was how the ‘A’ was designed. It pretty much sums it up how all the teachers at the school are aliens 👽
Still wonder who won the cat fight. Like did one get popular for the fight and the other life goes down the tubes.
They don't make them like this anymore!
best teen movie best sountracks
My favorite 👽 movie
Love the movie
1:48 estee lauder lip 72 minutes to apply? Wtf??🤨
That doesnt make any sense😑
Deliah is gorgeous
Trust me, Im brilliant
Then why are u repeating your Sr. Year lol
That pole is a real ball buster...
Delilah was so rude to Stan even though he was her boyfriend! She even turned down a kiss from him!
Like he said in the test scene at Zeke's place 'She can be a real bitch.' lol
I had the biggest crush on Jordan Brewster.
Best movie ever!
Yesss
We need movoe like this again today...!!!
As a kid i use to love this intro and when i was at school i used to pretend i was one of the characters and the music would play in my head as i walked into school lol
I know exactly what you mean. I did the same two and I'm a 2000s kid lol. I was in high school in 2018. But my high school days weren't dull as I lived vicariously through this. I would live out the entire movie!
Omg FRODO!
Zeke (Josh Hartnett) i Very Like You, you are so Cool in this movie.
I think a lot of people forget he could’ve blasted off into super stardom had he not opted to leave Hollywood and live mostly just a regular life popping here and there over the years in smaller projects. Still love lucky number slevin, and he was great in penny dreadful
Zeke was the best
Ugh My boi Casey can't even get a break 😓
The one slapping her boyfriend is Juaquin Phoenix sister
Really? Wow
obscure.......
alexis varas I love that someone else saw a connection from that movie to that game!!
It was heavy Inspired from this Movie. Especially the Character of Stan who was based on Josh Hartnett.

Ah, late '90s.
From Her To Eternity by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds "Slid out the window and shinning it down the vine: out of her nightmare and back into mine,"
Ahhhh the days when being a drug dealer and having bad grades was cool....
Still is, if i was still in school i'd be
"goes up ur nose right" well where the fuck else
Zeke says "whatever works man" hahaha
I remember loving Stockley’s character. She was just the observer and didn’t need a crowd to « belong ».
I watched this film earlier this year (im 22 so obviously i was still a nugget when the film was released) and Stokely is my fave too.
Stokely is awesome! I really liked all the characters, to be honest.
Best part about Stokely is that while she wore dark clothes and eyeliner, she wasn't unapproachable. She only disliked Delilah, who was a bitch
You're "not like other girls" either?
Loved her & she reminded me of P!nk at the time 🤟
Omg i love this scene
1:25 those chicks were about it 😂
Admit it, you all just came here for Zeke
Yup
One of the reasons, but I'm here for the fighting couple @ 2:54
Recuerdo que pasaban esta peli por el canal 20 😂
Best part was that random cat fight. Like to know who won and how long it lasted. lol.
And if the fight happened today it be all over youtube.
You can tell that the lady in the blue car is having a bad day. LOL.
maybe she had a broke up with her boyfriend. and then she is taking out on someone else. Lol
LOL. Wish I could jump into that part of the movie and see who wins.
+scottieman2 if youtube was created in 1998, the catfight is on. Like shit dude
Tottaly.
+scottieman2 Lol, I would say to everyone in the school including the cast of the movie "Yo everyone, there's two bitches fighting in the street, follow me. it's one of the top 10 high school fights of the year. Lol
2:27 good point how is he still playing football lul

This was a horror movie version of Breakfast Club with the stereotypes. The druggie dude was like Jud Nelson, Stokely was like Alison the loner, etc
It's kinda cool how the one student who doesn't fit the pattern ended up being the alien
POPE

What its your favorite carácter guys my its casey
the GTO!
Zeke
Zeke, closely followed by Casey and Stokely, but I like them all.
The couple they show fighting is hilarious though, especially when the boyfriend turns into an alien doesn't react to her shoving him and slapping him (which Zeke noticed).
Stokely.
The Breakfast Club meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Underrated.
Zeke’s first line fits his character so much
Frodo Baggins and Mia Toretto
Hyde being friends with Mitch Kramer - two stoners from the 70s
The song playing when Zeke drives into the car park?
