As the web3 world continues to move forwards, we have started to integrate live minting of special moments from my DJ performances as the start of a system we have envisioned for some time concerning ownership and payment of the music played in DJ sets. My presentation at ADE revealed a new system we’ve been building on Unreal Engine which takes my performance movements & modulations into new Web3 territory - again, all running in real time.

Minting special moments -- sounds like a North American service industry business model where the business doesn't want to pay appropriately for staff or media, and is asking its customers to make it up with tips. If you want license holders and your crew to be paid more, pay them more. If you have a system that is tracking media use to the second, why not just pay out a percentage of your performance fee to the license holders so you can guarantee that everyone gets paid.
Also, strongly disagree with royalty percentages be determined by volume level. Something played underneath something else is often the thing that elevates a performance to a special moment, and the lack of recognition of this puzzles me. If the audience can hear the track, the license holder should be paid the same.
So focus on NFT's and not on new music eh? monetization for the loss.

I love your music Richie, but I'm not sure that turning a multi-hour live performance into 10,000 micro-transactions that are basically digital trading cards is really at the heart of what Techno is or should be about.

I always supported Rich and followed his tech and think he is one of the most forward thinking artist and all but I need really better explanation what is going on...
It's an end-around on licensing and contracts (at least for now). They create a system that enables observers to make microtransactions on parts of a performance they like, and the system pays out the performers. The system gets a tiny percent of each transaction I'm assuming, and I say this because I'm also assuming he's intending to license this technology to venues and other performers.

I absolutely love the fact that you are embracing the future, which is Web3 and Web3 being Ethereum the growing ecosystem that is Ethereum. NFTs in the ethereum family democratizes art and cuts out the old guard, the old middleman, and then supports the artist directly where you have a connection between the artist and the fan and that’s the way it should. The middleman don’t need to be there.
The talk that Richie Haughton gave at Amsterdam needs to be put on RUclips. I would love to see in detail how he and his engineers are going to meld, Ethereum, music and Web3.
