Great tutorial! One thing I would have added at the end is a separation of the snow particles that cross the sky and those that cross the environment. The sky would be so much brighter that the snow crossing it would look darker. The snow would be in silhouette. Cheers!

Hi Ignace, quick tip for you, instead of sliding your particular layer over so all particles are already spawned, you can go into the "Emission Extras" section within the emitter section, and change the "Pre-Run" value to 100%. This value controls how much of the total particles are spawned on the first frame of the layer 🙂
Also, great tutorial, that was a way cool way to achieve a snowy look! ❄
I know Branden, I use it sometimes but it's basically the same time than shifting the layer so that's why I did it :)

I'm very surprised how good this looks with just color correction. Nice work man shortcuts aren't easy to find thanks for showing!
For the fog coming too close to the camera, an option to prevent it from looking strange when the camera goes through it is to keyframe the opacity from 100, depending on how far away it is, to zero just before the layer crosses paths with the camera. You can add an elliptical mask with a lot of feathering as well for depth.
