FSD is useful for the reasons you mentioned. Question remains at what price? I enjoy driving as well so I’m not part of the target group yet. There is also still a healthy dose of distrust in these automated systems. I still feel that they overpromise and underdeliver when it comes to reliability. The EV market is all over the place in which manufacturers are fighting for dominance and delivering half baked solutions that work ok on highways, but fail in urban areas while facing unexpected situations. AI is also not that useful in that regard. It’s likely to fail when you need it most.
Excellent points, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm so sick of the term A.I. being used so often in the tech industry. It's not even what most people think it is. I should do a deep dive into the term A.I. in a livestream someday. There are already quite a few really good videos explaining what it really is and how it works out there though.
@6:30 you mentioned sharp curves and enjoying driving. Can't you imagine once FSD has super-human driving skills and can basically throw you around those hair-pins (if you want it to) completely safely compared to a human driver. I watch a lot of FSD videos and it is extremely safe now, and expected to be human+ safe in 2025. We'll see, but I have great faith in it. @9:00 Your completely incorrect. FSD does gracefully pull in to the side of the road having given you many warning (audio and visual). It doesn't just shut down. Don't know where you've got that from.
@@BongoWongoOG Thank you for clarifying the point about FSD pulling over if you are asleep. I’ve never seen any FSD RUclipsr try that feature out and standard autopilot doesn’t do that so yeah, I assumed FSD didn’t do it either. My bad.
Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Great video 😀
Thanks! 😀

FSD is useful for me for nighttime runs to the store because I can’t see at night.
@ I have that same problem.
