You want to see CLEAR water, try White Sand lake near Boulder Junction (not far from this area). A 730-acre lake 71-feet max. Water clarity is 25-feet. 85% state owned. There are three wilderness (primitive) camp sites on the north shore. The most westerly one has a white sand beach that will make you swear you’re in the Bahamas! Seriously, I don’t think I’d be afraid to drink its water! It is a tough lake to fish, not the greatest for panfish, but has trophy Muskie and walleye due to abundant Cisco. Supposedly the state started stocking lake trout. This lake is gorgeous, but again will take time to learn. There is mid-lake structure to find and work. Also Trout lake, north of Minocqua near Boulder Junction. Again, big, deep, clarity of 20-ft., mostly state owned. Two state campgrounds on it. Trophy Muskie, walleye from feeding in Cisco and whitefish. There are lake trout. A tough lake to fish, but plenty of structure, walleye as deep as 40-feet in summer. Tough, you’ll work, but the rewards can be huge, and scenery is stunning!
You seem very knowledgeable about lakes around WI. You must have fished many lakes around there. I love the clear lakes, but they can be hard to fish. It sounds like a nice lake to kayak on.
Hi Robert. We actually camped just down the road on Lake Tomahawk in the Indian Mounds State Campground. Its all part of the Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest. It has about 30 campgrounds, all part of this forest. Clear lake is part of it, but is one of the more popular places to camp, so we opted for the less crowded campground.
I was up on that lake years ago. Crazy how clear and deep it was but we did well fishing with my grandpa who was a human fish finder lol. Hellgrammites bait of choice and you never tossed a fish back in..keep everything 😅😂..ahhh memories 😊
I love clearwater fishing. It's so cool to be able to watch a fish strike your bait!
I love it too. The fish are usually more spooky, but I enjoy seeing what's in the water.
Another beautiful lake to yourselves, and another great video! Thanks Rande!
Thanks for watching Joe.
Nice variety and while they aren't big the lake has a healthy population and they keep you busy!!😎🎣
The big ones were probably hiding in the deep water. I still had fun watching the little ones swimming around. Thanks Wes!
Yeah I know the weather won’t stop us. Right? Always fun time on the water no matter what.
As always great video my Man!
I always say, the fish love the weather that we don't like. I don't mind a little rain. My cameras might think differently about that.
Nice job on the video editing, what software do you use?
I use Davinci Resolve.
Nice video! Good to fish when cloudy. Another boat landing is off hwy J on the other side of the lake. Don't need a state park sticker.
Thanks for the info! I always do best of cloudy days or even a light drizzle. That's especially true on these clear lakes.

Wow that’s a very clear lake. How was the park? Did you camp there? Thanks From Wisconsin

Oh man, only in the forties he says. It's only in the 20's here. "The fish are really spooky." I that cause it's close to Halloween?
Yeah yeah, don't be mad at me just because Alaska never gets above 40 degrees. At least you got beautiful scenery to look at while you are freezing.

It always helps to have a human fish finder along. My Dad is the same way. He can find the fish and never throws one back.
Makes you wonder why they named it that?? 😂 Despite the rain you landed some nice bass. 👍
Hi Dave. It might be the first "Clear Lake" that I fished that is actually clear. I guess sooner or later they would get it right.
Looed like a great spot for some jumbo baits
There is suppose to be some huge musky in there, so jumbo baits just might work.
looks like you had a good day just not the rain
The rains not fun, but it doesn't stop the fish from biting.
Awesome
