Josh smith is the single most underrated dunker in the nba all time. His shot blocking I used to watch his highlights on RUclips every day. Helped me lead my league in blocks as a guard back in high school
I live in Atlanta but wasn't a hawks fan but people ready did appreciate that hawks squad. People still talk about that team fondly because it's the only successful team that had snice the Dominic wilkins Era.
Im tryna figure out whats more gay than actively listening for something REMOTELY close to sounding like it could be gay.. grown straight men don't play pause. Whats understood aint gotta be said 💯
Growing up watching josh then watching Teague all the way through his last year with the Hawks the second time and seeing him win a championship with the bucks. The last of the era 😢
@BigsmokeATL how could he be projected to be a bust when he was drafted in the first round out of high school? He said he was projected to be a top 20 pick in the video.
@@greatnessembodiedyou sound clueless fool. He went in the top 20 not 5 he had a great career given what number he got drafted.. its always the dudes who don't know shit speaking the most
GREAT INTERVIEW!!! JSmoove was one of my favorite players when I was in HS and i can remember plenty of games against my friends when they would be mad at Smoove in the corner for 3!!! (he don’t even shoot!!) if only they knew!!! i’m always going to watch the pod for those ATL Hawks teams..and i lowkey feel bad that the players feel the local fans didn’t appreciate cuz i did all the way up from Michigan..but as always great content and keep it going family!! crazy it took me so long to comment on this vid smh
Smooth was before his time…if he played in this era…his jumper woulda got refined and he woulda been on all star level imo. All he needed was a consistent jump shot fr. Crazy talent yo. Great interview 🔥
I’ve had two moments of “wait… wtf just happened?” in my sports life. One of them was when we played against Josh in high school my soph/his freshman year when he was at Whitefield Academy. Again, he’s a freshmen in high school and dunked from the free throw line… IN THE GAME. Only game film we ever watched as a team was that one and I’m pretty sure it was because of that so we could see it… probably rewound it 15 times. The fact that he/they don’t mention it, lets you know how special his talent was.
Born in Atlanta but was a rockets fan so I was super happy when he came to Houston in which he played well. Always got love for josh smith rep my ciry and team well so much respect.
Bro do you know what would make this podcast the fucking best ever! If yall pulled up some of the highlights from players as yall talk about em. So those that don’t know those moments can see it
Josh Smith and ISO JOE had that 08’ Celtics Superteam down bad in a gm 7 and should’ve went on to WIN chip 🏆 but Refs had got court order from commissioner to give Boston every 50/50 call vs ATL to have another Lakers/Celtics Finals for the ratings!!
I like that now I can just get on RUclips, and search up a podcast from any nba player. I was wondering what j smoove was up to these days, searched his name up and here we are 😂
The stuff they speaking on about high school coaches not playing the kids at their most talented position is true I seen so many coaches mess up kids future being stubborn
What Morey did to McHale is one of the nastiest moves of all time. The Rockets likely lose that Game 6 if they put James back into the game. James didn't know how to go with the flow of the game and would have started doing what he do instead of what was working for the team. That was the day the Rockets organization decided to revolve everything around James feelings and emotions instead of what was best for the team. That's the reason why that team was always limited.
I'm a hard nose Hawks fan because of this dude! I keep watching the NBA coz of him used to rock with em hawks bro! and Dwight and cp3 of corz kobe. bron. melo dwade man what a time 😢
They making good points. We don't let kids work through mistakes. All these trainers and everything. Some kids will be polished at 10 years old, then there is pressure for the other parents to send their kids to a trainer. Instead of allowing the kids to develop on the court. Then the kids that could do the drills at 10 don't even become the best at 18. We're doing too much specialized training too young and not enough of the generic athletic development and just learning through mistakes. Kids will be scared to shoot because they get critiqued every-time they miss a shot.
Fr what happened to developing skills and basics in practice. Mfs just get taught advanced elite skills and then you see someone who 18 averaging 25 but they flame out every lefties layup
