Euroairport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (05.11.2023) Storm Domingos!

After a day with a lot of rain and no wind, the promised “storm” finally arrived on Sunday. Although there weren't any really special aircraft to see, there were many some nice crosswind landings and 5 go arounds (only two were filmed). The highest wind speeds were measured shortly after midday with up to 41 kts from 250°. Late in the afternoon the wind speed quickly dropped to 15 kts and below.

I watched Flighradar a bit on that day, weren't there even one or two landings of 320s on the quite short 25?

3 Landungen wen ich richtig im kopf habe. So kurz ist die 25 nicht, zum landen reicht es längstens.
Gestern abend sind am ende fast alle Flüge auf der 25 runter gekommen und auch gestartet ausser der DHL A300 der hat bei deutlich schwächerem Wind dan die 33 genommen.

@@laurentsworldofaviation747 Oh krass, ok. Hab die so als Skiathos Bahn in Erinnerung, wobei Skiathos ja dann doch nochmal 100m kürzer (und halb so breit) ist. Interessant ist da ja der visuelle Anflug, habs mir mal im MSFS angeschaut.
